+24I can create a “New Lead” using a button on the Business Activity (for a Customer).
However after doing so, there is no pointer from the Lead to the Activity or vice versa. Seems like they should have a reference to each other so that other users can see what was done.

yes, I agree there should be a reference with the type Lead connected in the business activity and in the lead the activity should be in the references, unfortunately it is not.
Did you try to log an error with IFS? Alternatively, you could put it as an idea and I would upvote.
