Hi,

We have been using IFS Applications as well as Astea Alliance for many years, now coming together.  IFS have some very nice Search options and I wondered if there is any plan to bring some of those things to Astea (I am hoping there is in fact).

For example:

  1. In IFS it is possible to search for a list of items (separated by a semi-colon), which is great for creating a work list.
  2. You can create SQL searches which can pull in a list based on some SQL code, again excellent for giving you a work list based on whatever criteria you need.
  3. IFS has “Quick Reports” which is a simple way to create reports that can then be published for any selected users to run, again just using SQL.

Is there any possibility that some of these great features will be brought into Astea Alliance?

Chris

Alliance v15 is much closer to the new look of IFS but its not identical to IFS, we have the ability to search on multiple fields and some other usability tools. these specific items are not part of v15 but the ability to generate ad hoc reports is rich and available .

Our vision and road map is not to bring IFS to Alliance but the other way around.

we are standardizing in the IFS cloud platform and bringing into it as part of the Next Generation Service Management functionality from alliance, it's going to take some time but at the end, one platform (IFS Cloud) will contain the and integrated solution that consist of the best of all worlds.

Hi Danny,

That’s good news, thank you and keep up the good work!

2nd the request for searching for lists of items! Also the ability to search for null values would be really helpful occasionally.
