I have a bit of an obscure question that I received from our customer that I’m hoping someone here may know the answer to: They’re wondering how long the duration of time is in the customer portal is before you’re logged out due to inactivity. I see in the configuration editor there is a ‘Session’ parameter, however I’m not sure if this parameter is for internal sessions, or is also the session duration for the customer portal as well. Hi Kevin,
The session timer you mentioned in the global.xml is the only configuration I am aware of controlling the duration before becoming inactive.
Other things which can result in the session being deactivated is the same user account logging in from another client or having more than a single Alliance environment connected to the same profile database where each environment is in different time zones.
