We are using V14.5 HF26 at the moment.

We have found that sometimes users are accidentally creating Contract Templates when they select the wrong option when using Save As to copy a contract.  Instead of selecting Contract Quotation, they select Contract Template.

All of the users are set with Security that allows them to access Contract Templates but not to create, edit or delete them but this seems to bypass that security and create them anyway.

Is there any way to remove that option from the Contract Save As function, or stop it from working?

Hi Chris,

I am not aware of any configurations within the application to prevent this as you would normally have to have the ability to create a new contract so can't just remove the NEW permission.

To confirm, this is where you are talkiing about in the application:

 

 

As far as I am aware, this will require a change request to modify the publisher to remove this option.

Yes, that is the correct place.  I tried it in V15.4 too and it is the same there, so I’ll put in a support request to see if they can do anything with that, thank you.
