Hello everyone,I would appreciate hearing experiences from companies that migrated from IFS Applications 10 to IFS Cloud (on-prem deployment).We are supporting a manufacturing company that has been an IFS customer for many years (starting from Apps 8, later upgraded to Apps 10) with active maintenance/support continuity. The company is now evaluating a transition to IFS Cloud while still keeping the environment on-premise.During the transition discussions, several additional subscription components and third-party requirements appeared as part of the proposed model. We are trying to better understand what is generally considered standard or mandatory in real-life upgrade projects.Especially for companies moving from Apps 10 to IFS Cloud:Were Oracle EE subscriptions mandatory? Was IFS Cloud Foundation / Remote Deployment mandatory even for on-prem installations? Were tools like BPA, Industry Lobbies, 2C8 Modelling Tool, etc. required as part of the transition? Version 24.1.22 I saw an older post asking if there was a way to connect multiple documents to an object, which was eventually implemented as a feature.  I was curious if there was a similar feature that allowed users to connect multiple Objects, like Inventory Parts, to a Change Request. If so, was this also implemented in 24R2, or a later version?

Just wondering if anyone knows an exact date when support for IFS cloud 24R1 ends. I can see the last SU (SU23) was released last week and I am currently testing 25R1 through the business in our test environment. Just need to get a steer on how long I can take for testing before I need to deploy to production so I am not out of support

I have reviewed the official documentation regarding Clean and Drop scripts in the upgrade process:https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/25r1/070_remote_deploy/040_upgrading_system/040_deploying_upgrade/040_clean_drop_scripts/I would like to clarify whether executing the Clean and Drop scripts is considered a mandatory step in all upgrade projects, or if it is optional and dependent on specific conditions (e.g. project scope, environment, type of customization).In actual implementation projects, are there cases where these scripts are intentionally not executed, and if so, what criteria or risks are typically considered when making that decision?Any guidance or best practices from the field would be appreciated.Thank you.

After installation of 25R1 SU10, the ifsapp-iam pod in the middleware is not starting and is showing the following error. Has anyone experienced this issue? Dear,As per the technical documentation, Ubuntu 22.04 is specified as the supported OS for 24R1 SU19.However, for one of our customers in remote deployment setup and current version being 24R1 SU04, the Ubuntu OS upgrade / new environment provisioning is planned approximately two months later, while we need to deploy SU19 in Production earlier to address bug fixes.In this context, we wanted to understand - 1: What is the technical impact of deploying 24R1 SU19 without upgrading the OS to Ubuntu 22.04?2: Can 24R1 SU19 continue to function on current OS Ubuntu 18.04 or Ubuntu 20.04, and if so, is this supported or only technically feasible?3: What are the key technical dependencies, limitations, or risks associated with running SU19 on these older OS versions? Thank you!

Client error is popping up with different users from time to time while performing different transactions (invoice posting, invoice authorization, project forecast, quick report etc).Error disappears after reloading the page, sign out-sign in. It doesn’t pop up all the time, occurs randomly and you can’t recreate it. Some users specify client error occurs after the page has been idle for some time.This issue started to pop up since we moved to the cloud. 

I’m currently testing the 25R2 SU 4 update, and I need to raise a serious concern from a user perspective.One of the changes introduced — the new color scheme for conditional formatting in tables — is extremely problematic, especially in dark mode. The colors are now so similar that they’re practically indistinguishable. This completely defeats the purpose of conditional formatting, which is supposed to help users quickly identify important information at a glance.Frankly, this change feels like it wasn’t properly tested in real-world scenarios. If it had been tested in dark mode even once, this issue would have been immediately obvious. For users who rely on dark mode daily, this isn’t just an inconvenience — it actively disrupts workflows and increases the risk of missing critical data.

Hello, I was trying to apply update my IFS Cloud, which is currently in 23R1 and I want it to be updated to 23R2 and then after successful updating, move it to 24R1. But after updating the Customer Baseline Repository from 23.1.4 to 23.1.24 and creating a topic branch, when I’m trying to order the environment, I am getting a very fresh environment and all the customizations we made with custom events and pages etc. are lost. I am not sure how to implement the update from here with implementing our customizations. I f anyone can provide the documentation regarding which shows how to clone our current solution repository to topic branch and then merge it, it will be really helpful.Thanks & Regards,Mani

The functionality is comparable to solutions like Addovation, particularly in enabling the execution of Quick Reports. So far, the connectors have been performing reliably and meeting all intended requirements.As part of this initiative, I have developed two separate connectors: A Power BI connector that allows users to pull data directly from IFS and build dashboards within Power BI An Excel add-in connector that enables users to retrieve and work with the IFS data in Excel At this stage, I am looking to better understand the broader implications of maintaining custom connectors at an organizational level. We are encountering major issues with our upgrade from 24R2 to 25R1. This is our 3rd Cloud upgrade. The first two painful upgrades we considered these may be teething problems and related to upgrading to the latest version (as IFS recommends by the way). Now we decided to be conservative and go for 25R1, just one release up and 9 Service Updates rich. IFS also confirmed they have improved supporting these upgrades. Finally, we have customizations but very little (as compared to other clients according to IFS and our implementation partner).We are now 4 days in the upgrade process and do not even have the build place working with help of IFS. One issue pops up after the other is solved. Did any of you experience similar issues? What else? What more can we expect? Should we go for 25R2? Not upgrade at all? What can you advise?

in earlier versions of IFS cloud, when printing a report; for instance Customer Ledger Open Items. The data was stored in cust_open_item_rep, which could be accessed via Quick Report and hence be exported to excel.These views are empty when printing reports in 25R2, are the information stored elsewhere now?

Hello, we are upgrading from 11.5 to 11.8.4 and I’m testing the creation of a form, process, stage notification email (smartmail) using action processor.  when I try to close the task before the notification stage in the process, this error appears:  The Action Type 'SENDMAIL_GEDS_ATIP' is invalid for Event Type 'CHANGE'. One or more of the above errors was generated attempting to create Task Events from the process 'undefined'. There may be a configuration issue preventing you from progressing this process. If you are not sure why this is happening, please contact your administrator for further assistance.Bear in mind that the old ones from 11.5 work and I just recreated it from an old action type that does work.I believe I’ve checked everything I can to make this work.  It’s not live yet, were still in the testing stages and need to have this working before we go live.

Hello,We are trying to upgrade our in house install of v10 to a later version of IFS Cloud which we will also host in house.  We do have a current process that works, however it takes 30+ hours to run.  It currently upgrades 10 to 23r2s4.  Then it cycles through 2 versions of 24 and 3 versions of 25.  It seems that we should be able to skip from 10 to the latest version of cloud that we plan on implementing to shorten the lifecycle.  However, there were some steps provided to us per our customization by IFS for the leap to 23r2s4 and there are some other steps for the initial 24 version related mostly to queueing.  I’m trying to figure out how to include those while going more directly to a later version.  Any help or advice would be appreciated.  Thanks so much.Julie

When we went from IFS 9 to IFS 10, we were required to install a deprecated java print agent in order to use the socket spooler to send .zpl labels to our Zebra printers.  We’re getting ready to upgrade to the latest version of IFS Cloud.What is the solution for .zpl label printing in IFS Cloud?

Hello our wonderful IFS Community :)We’re running IFS Cloud 24R1, applying SU20 to a pilot instance for evaluation (going from SU9). We’ve encountered an issue when receiving goods off of a Shop Order, complaining that an Expiration Date is mandatory. I’ve limited things down to something that appears correct in the SU9 version of the API INVENTORY_PART_IN_STOCK_API and a variable check_mandatory_expire_date_ that is referenced in the Check_Insert__ / Check_Common__ procedures.Here’s a sample of the check_mandatory_expire_date_ being set (as opposed to the DEFAULT value for the parameter taking place. Currently, we create Customer Orders with lines that detail all of the Services quoted and sold to a Customer. We use Lobby elements to look at the Customer Order Lines based on Wanted Delivery Dates so that when actual date approaches the lines wanted delivery date, we generate a New Requests from a Customer Order. This brings over our Connected Customer and Order No.  and when we get complete the service and approve the Invoice Preview from the request it will add an additional line to the Customer Order it was made from. Our Sales Coordinators now have a Service Sales line that cannot be adjusted from their end, so if pricing is wrong, it has to be done from revoking the Invoice Preview and re approving it through our Service Team. If the pricing is accurate, they take an already existing line from the Customer Order for that specific service and mark it free of charge, then invoice the Customer Order Line for the Service.What I believe would be much more efficient for our business
