Update 15 and error message in Aurena - N/A - when you try to save data

Hi allWe have trouble using Aurena after installation of UPD15.  Does anybody have excperience with Edge and Aurena running UPD15 ?  We installed upd14 and 15 in our prod environment the 29th of September and have trouble in Aurena since…..Have anyone had the same problem and how did you solve this ?

What are the reasons for the error: "(!!!Error, no database connection exists)" in a delivery failure?

One of the customers had a delivery failure (PROD) due to a DB connection issue. There weren't any issues in non-prod delivery installation. The error shows (!!!Error, no database connection exists). The customer is asking whether there are any corrective actions that could be taken in order to avoid the same error in the future for the same environment followingly other environments as well and also asking the reason for this connection timeout.

Hi I am doing some testing on RMAN restore. UPD release delivery time IFS10

What is normal time to get UPD deliveries?We have requested IFS to deliver files for new UPD three weeks ago.We haven’t yet get any information when we might get these files. Just a quick question regarding the Apps9 to Apps10 upgrade routines. Do permission sets get migrated from Apps 9 to Apps 10 OR do you just get the standard set of permissions that come with Apps10? Thanking you in advance.

IFS Cloud 22.1.3 update failed due to navigation entries

ENVIRONMENT: IFS Cloud 22 R1 Service Update 3 AUDIENCE: All RESOLUTION/ANSWER:While installing the Release Update (22.1.3) to the customer environment, The update was not successful, and The installer just stopped at step “Remove_Inactive_Metadata”.From the Root cause analysis, it looks like the problem is in the procedure Insert_Navigation_Entries (FndNavigator) due to the amount of data in fnd_navigator_structure_tab and fnd_navigator_entry_tab (approx. 1100000 rows). WORKAROUND: Unpublish the custom navigation entries from the application and continue with the update.Solution: RnD confirmed that this is fixed with 22.1.6 CAUSE: N/AADDITIONAL INFORMATION: N/ASCRIPTS/LOGS: N/A SOURCE: Shehan Chandrasekara VERIFIED:

Application Server Migration

Hi All We are currently investigating a DR scenario whereby we recover IFS. Due to the requirements of the scenario we need to change the name of the Application Server - e.g. if it is called ifsapp1 we need to recover it to a new server called ifsapp2. We are confident in our steps to recover the database but the application server is proving trickier. We have been able to create a new application server from a backup of the current application server and we have renamed the server itself. Where we are struggling is updating the configuration for IFS to pick up the name change of the server. We have tried updating the following files,  replacing the "old" Application Server to the "new" Application Server name, but this has not been enough:E:\IFS\IFSExt\IFSD\instance\IFSD    IFSD_configuration.xml    build.properties    IFSD_configuration_delivery.xmlE:\IFS\IFSExt\IFSD\instance\IFSD\bin   mws.propertiesE:\IFS\IFSExt\IFSD\instance\IFSD\conf   login.config Any help or advice would be gr

About data migration by upgrade

After running the upgrade script from IFS7.5 to IFS10, when I checked SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING_TAB, the data was deleted and SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING_120 was created.SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING is a breaking change in functionality, so column mapping is not possible.Is there a good way to migrate SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING_TAB data when upgrading from IFS7.5 to IFS10?

Export to Excel option of Quick Reports unavailable in APPS10 navigator

Hi..  In APP 09 the “Export to Excel” option is available when RMB in the navigator for quick reports.   Recently noticed that the “Export to Excel” option is missing in APP 10  Is this option removed from APP 10 or is there any way to enable it?

Updating user profiles after migrating from APPS8 to IFS Cloud

Hi All, We are in the process of migrating from APPS8 to IFS Cloud and I’m having trouble updating a particular user profile so that I can use it to access IFS Cloud. I have chosen one of the simplest users (minimal screens/functions available) which requires minimal modifications.I have allocated the appropriate, I think, Projections to a Permission set for this user but when I try to log on I get a number of popup windows with errors relating to Profile and Person info.See below:- Can anyone point me in the right direction to help resolve my difficulties with logging on to IFS Cloud please? Cheers,Neil.

Is there an Interface Reference Report or Enhancement Index for IFS Cloud?

Until IFS10, each time an update was released, various documents such as NEWS about the update were published on the Partner Portal.Whenever a Release Update or Service Update for IFS Cloud is released, NEWS and other information is published at the URL below.<https://ifs.sharepoint.com/sites/IFSCloudProdInfo>However, I cannot find the following document which was available before IFS10.　InterfaceReference_Report_UPDXX.xlsx　IFS Applications Upgrade Enhancement IndexIFSAPP10UPDXX.xlsx If we are trying to Upgrade to IFS Cloud from a previous version, we will need the above documents.If anyone is aware of any materials like the above on IFS Cloud, we would appreciate it if you could provide them.

Error on IFS reconfigure/new install

I cloned one of our existing app9 application server onto a new server. Did a move and then started a new install (following manual cloning procedure) then got error below. Does anyone one has any suggestions? We upgraded from IFS10 Update15 to Update16 and it is now running slower in IEE of IFS.

Hi,We upgraded from IFS10 Update15 to Update16 and it is now running slower in IEE of IFS.For example:- It takes about 5 minutes to display the version information from the menu bar help.- It takes about 4 minutes to display any screen.- Searching the navigator menu takes about 5 minutes.Has anyone experienced slowdowns in IEE with Update 16?Does anyone know of a workaround to improve this IEE slowdown?In this situation, we cannot offer our customers to upgrade to IFS10 Update16.*Aurena runs fine.We look forward to hearing from you.

IEE End of Life

Has anyone heard of the End of Life for the IEE platform.  We are in the process of implementing IFS and don’t think that the Aurena platform has all of the mature functionality of IEE. If IEE is going to be around for the next 3-4 years I would lean to implementing the more mature platform than be a gunnie pig for a new platform.

IFS Cloud: DETAILED process to Apply Deliveries to Use Place

Hi All,I’m having one of those days where you ask 5 people the same question and you get 5 different answers back!I have IFS Cloud 21.1.6 ( Artefacts 2.3.1, Binaries 2.1.1 ) installed , I have 3 deliveries in the build place to apply:22.1.0 ( Artefacts 2.4.0, Binaries 2.2.0 ) 22.1.2 ( Artefacts 2.4.0, Binaries 2.2.0 )22.1.4 ( Artefacts 2.4.2, Binaries 2.2.1 )To make this question useful to all readers, I have 2 questions:What is the most efficient way to apply ALL 3 deliveries? IEE Lobby throws exception after applying UPD
