Is it possible to connect Power BI with the FSM6 database to generate custom reports?

Sure! You will require a database user (read-only permissions should be sufficent) and access details of the FSM DB - eventually you will require some ODBC driver as well. There are a lot of articles on the internet how to establish connectivty to an ODBC Datasource.
