I was deleting a tablespace “CBSTOOL_INDEX” using EMCTL. I have deleted the datafile from windows command prompt because It was taking too much time assuming that the TS might have been deleted. I thought the work was over. But I could not query the database. So I altered the database in order to make the questioned datafile offline. Thereafter I had opened the database. Now what I found was that the datafile say “xxx.dbf” was being shown in the TS “CBSTOOL” instead of “CBSTOOL_INDEX” with zero byte in size whereas the datafile “xxx.dbf” was not there in the OS folder.
Now I wanted to remove this unwanted entry of datafile_name from the TS “CBSTOOL”, I had taken the TS in offline mode and tried to drop the datafile “xxx.dbf” entry from the TS “CBSTOOL”. But I did not succedd.
Now this TS "CBSTOOL" is not getting placed online giving the captioned error message.
