Link from Mail recipient as Link does not work as expected -Apps9

Hi,

IFS APPS9 - The 'Mail recipient as Link' appears not to be working correctly. It works as expected for Internet explorer but not for other browsers like Chrome. For other browsers application does not get opened with the correct window and data, but always user’s home page. For internet explorer IFS application gets started with the correct application window. e.g. Correct Transport Task. Users claim it used to work correctly for other browsers as well.

Has anyone experienced the same?

We had the same issue.  The other browsers do not seem to handle the parameters in the URL properly, possibly they do not support ClickOnce natively.

For Chrome, you can install the IFS EE Link Handler Extension from the Chrome Web Store which will resolve the issue.  I havent tried other browsers as we dont use any others within our organisation.

With the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser, version 78 or later, we now have a flag to natively enable ClickOnce:

edge://flags/#edge-click-once
