Drag and drop document attachment

When some users attempt to drag and drop any document into the attachment pane, they get the following error:  The file type is not registered in Document Management/EDM Basic. Please contact the System Administrator.

This seems to be a permissions issue because other users can drag and drop the same file with no issue.  Does anyone know what they could be missing?

We recently upgraded from 7.5 to 10.  In 7.5, they had no issue with the drag and drop functionality.

Hi @TosohLBlum,

Please check if the user have below permissions, if not please grant them to the particular user and try again.

Can they use the buttons to create or attach documents?

Mathias,

Thanks for the response.  They could use the buttons, but got a similar error even though it created the container.  They were then able to open the container and check the document in.  Giving them the DOCUMENT_ATTACHMENT permission set gave them whatever they were missing.
