Hi all!

Does someone know a way to set up repeating surveys that have control over the answers a user provides?

Our client needs to introduce the security surveys (security questions prior to starting to work). These surveys must come out every time a maintenance engineer begins to work on an Work Task and must take into account the responses (that is, if for any response it is not possible to start working safely, do not start the operation, or change status, and automatic time report).

So far we have solved the issue of taking into account the answers using Action Flows in Workflows. Setting up a mandatory step that includes the eform and with terminating questions, we ensure that if a user replies No to a question such as “Do you have an fire extinguisher with you?” the survey will stop and can be re-taken once the place is safe.

However a maintenance engineer can pause the Work Task (and so the automatic time reporting) several times during the execution (when the user goes for lunch or stops working till the next day since the assignment is big). For those cases we would need that every time the user starts working, the survey should appear and take the answers into account.

Thanks,

Adrian

Hi,

We can trigger a survey when a work assignment is paused however we have no way to trigger a survey when the same is set off pause. Pause is a function to be used for unplanned small breaks. If it is a long pause (re-starting next day) shouldn’t’ it be a new work assignment instead? Rather than pausing the current assignment, he should probably incomplete it and create a  new assignment for tomorrow? Then the Action flow configuration will take care of it (trigger the mandatory survey when start the assignment).

Thanks

Hi Adrian,

Addition to above answer, you can set to trigger survey popup when pause the task but not when start again. If not you may need to start new assignment as Sampath mentioned.

Hi both,

Thank you very much for your replies.

The issue here is that our client’s work tasks assignments usually take long, and more than one day. In addition, there are a lot of employees and it would be highly time consuming to create new assignments everyday. Furthermore, when creating a work task and the assignment you have to specify the start and end date, so we should create one per day and will create a lot of lines on every Work Order just for admin reasons.

Do you know any other way we could continue? Otherwise we can post it in the idea wall I guess.

Thanks,

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

From mobile when you incomplete the assignment It will ask whether we want to create new assignment. So from that mobile user can create next assignment if the work is not completed.
