We find that database sessions remain in inactive status for a period of time. Our users logon to IFS applications and we can see the new session. When the user, via the File->Exit menu option, logs off the application, the session remains. The attached example illustrates this. This Test User logged off over 5 hours ago but there are frequent calls to the database. Should these sessions be killed off automatically with the middleware server session and if so whats the best way to configure this?Using the RMB option Kill Session from Solution Manager->Monitoring->Database Sessions successfully terminates the session.It seems like the system hangs onto permissions. For example if we grant a permissions set to a user and they log on (with no inactive sessions existing) then the permissions are applied. if the user then logs off and we apply different permissions (at this point there will be an existing inactive session), then these new permissions are not applied. Hello,I am having issues with changing status of Purchase Orders from ‘Arrived’ to ‘Received’ on Purchase Orders. I have received the inventory in “Register Arrivals”(see screenshot1 for PO number: P514599, Source Ref2: 5, Source Ref3: 2) but the PO status remains unchanged(See screenshot2 for PO number: P514599, Line no: 5, Release no: 2)Screenshot1 Screenshot2 My question is , Am I missing a step to ensure the the status of this Purchase Order changes from Arrived to Received?
Our report server includes print agent, crystal web and BR execution server, and we keep getting issues with our crystal reports in which we are getting the following error in IFS:“No PDF report returned from Crystal Web Service”If I reboot the server we are then able to print crystal reports again. I need to work out why this keeps happening? I have noticed that we had window updates that needed installing, could this cause the issue?Is it also possible to set-up an alert that emails myself when this happens?Thank you.

Hi, In APB: How can you easily see which compononents of your shop order operation are not/ will not be available? We can set the part as (always) finite, but if I understood correctly that just prevents it from scheduling. Where can you easily see why you can’t schedule it sooner? Or is there an option where you can see if you would schedule it sooner, these component will be at risk? Currently, we plan in APB, save and afterwards check the planning alerts and replan. Thanks!

Hi, As everyone has to deal with employees which are leaving the company, I was wondering how other IFS users are updating the other data fields e.g. “Validity” of the Purchase Authorization Basic Data and “the valid to date” in the Invoice Posting Authorizers. At this moment we don’t update these fields.
Can I somehow Distribute or Transmit an entire Document Structure in IFS Cloud? It looks to me like only the top document is considered in both scenarios (starting from the Document Structure Navigator, using Share/Distribute when focus is on the topmost document in the structure).

Dear FSM Experts:Are we able to change the user permissions in the SQL databases without a typical update completely destroying our modifications? This relates to the OBDC reports – we do not wish to use a password in a string visible on the server.So we are thinking about using AAD auth and having the users auth themselves via 2FA universal authentication. Hi, When creating a custom tab in project window after connecting the attached page and the title, there is a + to add the relationship between Parent key and the child Key. But when the same custom page is attached as a custom tab in the project navigator page it does not allow to add the relationship between parent and the child key. We want that this to work from the Project Navigator. Any insights?
The IFS Credit Card documentation for Apps 10 states IFS supports Level 2 and Level 3 data credit card processing. However, I was wondering if there was any documentation on how to achieve the Level 2 and/or Level 3 data credit card processing. We understand out of the box this is support but IFS is configured to send Level 1 dataset with limited to no documentation on how to get to Level 2 or 3.

Hello,I’ve noticed that when a holiday is removed from a holiday plan, extra SLA time is added to events which were open before the date of the just removed holiday. For example, let’s suppose event X was logged on april 30th (2022-04-30) and there’s a holiday on may, 1st (2022-05-01). On may 3rd (2022-05-03) the holiday plan of the event’s SLA gets updated and may,1st is removed from the holiday plan.On may 4th (2022-05-04) event X is resolved and closed and its resolution time will take into account may 1st working hours, despite its clock effectively being stopped as of may 1st. I know this example is somewhat extreme, but we noticed that effect on long standing tickets, which take more time to be resolved. I guess that’s because the resolution time is calculated when the event is resolved, taking into account only the current holiday plan. Holidays which were in place when the event was open, but were removed from the holiday plan before its closure will have the corresponding tim
Community, I have a question here, not sure how to fix it.I have a project delivery created and I calculate the cost at in Project Item Navigator window. please see attachment “Project Delivery 6388307 Cost Roll Up”, so in this window, you can see the roll up cost $1758.2874, which is correct, please refer to the second screenshot “ 6388307 Standard Cost”. now comes the question, why there is only one cost element “MATERIALS” available in the Project Item Navigator window, per the item standard cost, it should include at least Labor cost element, whereas it is not.wondering how to fix it? posting control?
