No "Save" Button on Migrated Lobby Elements

Dear Community We have recently upgraded from Apps9 to IFS Cloud. For the migrated Lobby Elements, the SAVE button does not appear when attempting to edit them (see below). Despite making changes, it just does not appear. Is this by design, or a potential bug? it was the same in 23R1 and 23R2. Many thanks

BPA Workflow - Navigate to Page

Dear Community. Does anyone know if it is possible to navigate to another page from the workflow tool, For example, could you do a purchase order receipt from the Register Arrivals screen, and get the Workflow tool to navigate you to the Purchase Order Receipt(s) detail page that had just been processed?Many thanks, David.

Custom Command - Without selecting a record

Dear Community. Is it possible to create a Custom Command, for example, to internal/external navigation, or to kick off a workflow, from a Page in IFS Cloud without having a selected record? or is it just recommended to use bookmarks?David.

Commands and Data Types in Cloud

Dear community. I am working through an upgrade from Apps9 to IFS Cloud and am recreating some of the Custom Menus with Commands. I have come across the situation that didnt occur in apps 9, which is the data types in a Window with Transfer type of Menu/Command. Here is an example, a custom menu in Apps9 which transferred to Inventory Transaction History, and showed all transaction history associated with that material line, in Apps 9, the source/destination keys were ORDER_NO, RELEASE_NO, SEQUENCE_NO AND LINE_ITEM_NO mapped to SOURCE_REF1, 2,3,4 accordingly. This works fine in Apps9. In Cloud (23R1) when attempting to create the same, since the source data type in the Shop Order Material Line is a Number field, and the SOURCE_REF4 column is a String this error appears when attempting to load the Inventory Transactions History list. New Command Type: CommandRef

Dear Community. In 23R1, when adding Commands to Command Groups, there is a new option called CommandRef, however it does not appear in the Technical Documentation, nor anywhere on the Community. Is anyone able to shed any light on its intended function, it appears you can call certain Commands but I am not really sure how to use it. Many thanks,

Receiving Modified Parts on External Service Orders

Hi Community. We work in the Aviation industry, and often we use External Service Orders, (ESO) to send parts from stock to a repair station to get them repaired and then returned for us to fit back onto aitcraft. Often we send parts out that may come back with a modification carried out that changes their part number slightly, and therefore changes the fit/form/function of the part. For example, a part 101-11 may be sent out, then returned as a 101-15. It will often keep it serial number if serial tracked. Currently we use the Alternate Parts functionality to register 101-15 as an alternate for a 101-11, then we use the “Change Receipt Conditions” to change this to receipt in the correct part from the supplier, however due to the modification, this is not truly accurate, as the modified part (101-15) may not have the same characteristics, or uses as the original part (101-11). Create Card View for Entity Configuration (Custom LU)

Hello IFS Community. I wondered if anyone knows if this is possible. I have created a custom LU, and have configured it and linked it to a Projection and it is assocated correctly, I used the Page Designer to add a Tab, and then a List and it works as expected. I can see the list in List View or Table view. Is it possible to create a Card View so I can see my items as Cards?If so, can you explain how, if not, can we recommend this idea to IFS R&D?Many thanks, David.

IFS Cloud - Preliminary Supplier Invoice

Enable Security Checkpoint

Hi I believe that in Apps9 you can create a Custom Event that forces the Security checkpoint to appear, thus adding an extra level of security. (i.e. forcing the user to input password). This is the same functionality that is standard in DocMan. Does anyone know how to enable this? i have seen it working in a Shop Order guideline (have screen images) but dont have (access) to the code anymore to see what triggers it. Any ideas? David.

Aurena Bot - Is it still a thing?

Hi all, I am interested to know if Aurena Bot is still an active part of IFS Cloud solution (23r1)? There doesn't appear to be much documentation about it from what I can see, and any use cases, or examples. So I was wondering, is it something IFS are planning on decommissioning?

Call Centre\Support Organisation Basic Data. Business Object Type: Non Conformance Report - Not Available

Dear Community. I attempt to add a new Business Object to Support Organisation Basic Data \ Business Object Tab, of type Non Conformance Report, but when i attempt to do this i get an error, despite it being in the list. I do note that it is not defined in the help file. I am wondering if this is a bug, or some functionality that is missing? Apps 9 Up15.

New Part Warranty and Returns

Dear Community. I was hoping someone might be able to share some information on this topic.I know we can do inspection management when performing Purchase Order Receipts, but if we receive a new item into stock and pay the invoice and then subsequently find that it is non conforming what is the best process to handle the Supplier Warranty? How do we get the part out of stock and returned to the supplier and then process a warranty claim? usually for a full credit. This appears to be a pretty standard request so I am keen to see how others handle this scenario. Thanks,

Excel Migration Job - Purchase Req with Pre Posting

Dear community. I am creating a migration job to upload No Part lines to an existing purchase requisition and i have two code part columns to add at the same time. In the method list attribute for the PRE_ACCOUNTING table i can use PRE_ACCOUNTING_ID@50 which when i create new records brings the pre-accounting ID and the pre posting is inserted, all good….. however if i try to do an update after the original insert since there is no pre-accounting value generated by Seq 50 so it errors with Missing Mandatory Pre Accounting ID. I’ve set the value on the PRE_ACCOUNTING_ID on the Source Mapping tab to PURCHASE_REQ_LINE_API.Get_Pre_Accounting_Id(REQUISITION_NO, LINE_NO, RELEASE_NO) which brings the pre-accounting value no problem however since there is a fixed value in the Method List Attribute it ignores the value set in the Source Mapping Tab. If i remove the value in the Method List Attribute, the update works, but the insert fails…. Does anyone got any bright ideas, other than doing tw

Product Structure - Component Part not used 100% of the time

Dear community, I’d be interested to know if anyone had any ideas on this issue we are facing. We have product structures for repair for parts that we use each time we do a repair, however we often have component parts that are not used 100% of the time, sometimes 1 in 5, sometimes 2 in 5 times we perform the repair. Does anyone know how you can consider this into the BOM/Structure so that forecasting demand can be achieved based on this model. I was thinking perhaps using a decimal qty to represent the %, i.e. 0.2 etc but I dont really know how this would work in reality. Any ideas? IFS9U15.

Mixed PO/PR Authorization Rules

Hi community. This topic is well covered in this forum but I think I have a unique request. In our company we use PO authorisation for most of the PO’s - so we have PO Auth. Rules setup with “Valid for Original Authorisation”. Works fine. We would like to implement some PR rules that once the PR is approved, they are not then subject to PO authorisation. Does anyone know how it might be possible to force a PO to pick up an authorisation rule as to not require additional approval, that is outside the available “usage of authorisation rule” options? potentially with a custom even on the creation or release of the PO when created from the PR? Modify Invoice Value on PaidPosted Supplier Invoice for ESO Serialized Part

Hello Community. I am looking for some help, I’ll try and explain the scenario., We ordered the service of a serialized part, Order Type 6, value $10. The part was returned in receipted. An invoice was issued and I matched to the PO line and paid the invoice. The invoice is in PaidPosted state. The part has since been issued to a Shop Order and is no longer in stock. The supplier had advised an error on their side and now wishes to invoice us for $20. How can i process this change and get it to update the price on the shop order, since when i enter the new invoice number the line is already matched. I have tried to price adjust and receipt again but it keeps telling me i cannot receive it more than once. What is the method for handling the scenario above? any ideas? IFS9u15

External Service order and RFQ

Dear community, I wondered if anyone had any experience with External Service Orders, (Type 6) and RFQ. We have the scenario whereby we need to send the part to the supply from inventory for inspection/assessment then they provide a quote. However I dont know how we can ship via the customer order from a Purchase Req or Request for Quote? Any ideas?

Custom field. Text entry and lookup?

Dear community. Does anyone know if (In Apps9 UPD15) you can make a Custom field behave like standard IFS field, say for example Part No. Whereby you can free type a Part No in, or select it from the List of Values?When i create a reference part no field, it only allows LoV, not free text input. Component Customer Order - Undo Delivery

Hello. When using Component Customer order on a External Services (type 6) we have the case whereby we delivered the part from inventory on the customer order and it moved to invoiced/closed as the line item was 0.00. When i attempt to undo the delivery of the Customer Order we receive an error “Cannot undo customer order delivery for component where the item is not charged.” What is the method to undo the delivery to get the part back into inventory when this happens?
