Aurena agent, EnumeratePrinters

In IFS Cloud 23R1, we are working on an integration where we want to use the Aurena Agent’s capability to (somehow) get the installed printers from windows. And the standard print dialog does just that, although I cannot figure out how. If I use the same lov and entityset (LogicalPrinterSet for LogicalPrinter) in a custom dialog, only the logical printers registered in IFS appear. Is it possible to use the same Aurena Agent functionality outside the standard print dialog? There is a section in the “Arena agent” documentation about EnumeratePrinters, but it is not marked as tested OK. Trying to use it, there is no error but no result either (tried EnumeratePrinters into a text variable).

Edit Required Quantity on Purchase Components?

The required quantity can be edited, given that:The order is not an External Service Order (Order Code 6) The part on the purhase order line is not serial tracked at receiptThe client code (PurchaseOrderLineComponents) looks like this:editable = [parent.OrderCode != "6" and parent.RcptIssueSerialTrackDb = "FALSE"]; Why is it forbidden to edit the required quantity if the part is serial tracked at receipt? We have not found any good reason for this.

Receive from Shop Order to Production Line Location

Hi!Our users have noticed that in their previous version it was fine to receive from a shop order into an inbound location of type Production Line. It looks like it was still the case in the Apps 10 version we have access to, so it seems to have been introduced with the IFS Cloud version. Nowadays only Floor Stock and Picking locations are possible, wich will cause them pretty big changes in routines, since organizing the shop floor into production lines has been a key factor in controlling the reservation of material from the right locations. What motivates this change?/ Kenneth

Problem saving counter lobby element

In one of our cloud dev environments, we cannot save or edit a counter lobby element (regardless of which one we choose). It works in other environments and it worked the day before. And it works with a pie chart element with the same data source. The error is from Composite_Page_Repository_API.Save_Element and it seems that the CLOB supposed to contain the element xml data is empty at that point. Any ideas on how to get out of this situation?Have tried Fnd_Admin_Jms_API.Send_Jms_Message('CLEAR_LOBBY_CACHE', 'ALL' , 'ifsapp-int'); picked from the same API but it did not do the trick.

How to use the direct link to download document file

How is the Send Document Link functionality supposed to be used? And, more exactly, the escape characters in the link? I’m testing this with a document class named ‘IPC REV’, thus with a space in it. The result is an url containing DocClass='IPC%2520REV' which does not work if I try it in the browser. 'IPC%20REV' works though. It looks as first the space is replaced by %20 and then the % is replaced by %25. Since this looks like it is done deliberately, what is the story?

Limitations to actions with security checkpoints?

Hi!We are trying to create a custom variant of a command that exists in core, that uses legacy security checkpoints. The standard command works fine, but ours does not. We get an error message stating that password cannot be null. What we are trying to achieve is to perform the operation for multiple records rather than one, so that may be the issue here. I think the security checkpoint is embedded in the modify logic of the entity.Can this be achieved with (legacy) security checkpoints, or do they not work with bulk actions?Also, is there a more in-deep source of information on security checkpoints somewhere?

IFS Connect - Execution Exception from Sender Thread

We are trying to send outbound message through the IFS Connect HTTP sender, but get an error message on the routing address line when sending the message:ExecutionException from Sender thread Caused by: java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: begin 25, end 6, length 37 Does anybody have an idea of what can be wrong?

Shop Order Work Guideline Signoff - Security Checkpoint

In IFS Cloud 22R2, we can enable and successfully use the security checkpoint when performing signoff of shop order work guidelines, if we use the Shop Order Work Guidelines client. However, the same operation will fail in Shop Floor Workbench (on the tab for work guidelines under the dispatch list). How can we find further information about this limitation? What we want to know is exactly why it does it not work in one client but not in the other? And will it be fixed and when?

Hide a custom tab based on condition in IFS Cloud?

I have added a tab with a group and a custom field on a (standard) form in Aurena. The standard tabs are visible based on conditions, but it does not seem to be possible for tabs added with page designer. Only true or false. Is that right or am I missing something (version 22R1)?/ Kenneth

PMRP not generating requisitions for components of a manufactured part

… and I am trying to find out why when:The demand comes from a work task (on a work order) which is project connected We run PMRP per activity (for all activities within the project) PMRP generates a shop order requisition for the top part (demand from work task) But no purchase requisitions for the components In MRP part information for the components, the gross requirement is 1 but net requirement 0 so it seems it “sees” the demand from the top part No MTRs generated, no stock Structure is buildable, components are not standard planned Structure phase in is way back in time and no phase out dateSo what are we missing? Any ideas? We are running IFS Cloud 22R2.

Practical use of Quality System Level

We have difficulties understanding how to set up and use QSL for our business. Since all QSLs are ranked, and two QSLs cannot have the same ranking, our impression is that they need to be part of the same quality system. Can you explain the purpose of the ranking and an example of how it is used in the real world?

Problem using PLSQL Test in custom layer with 22R2

We are using developer studio to create customized code for IFS Cloud 22R2 (22.2.3) and want to start using the PLSQL Test tool. However, I get two strange errors when I try. I have created a utility package and a function in that, then created the pltst file and a simple test. What happens is this:Compile the pltst file: OK Run the test (from pltst file): Information box stating “PLTST does not contain any unit tests!”. But test results tab shows one successful test and is green. I have also checked that the tests can actually fail if I change conditions, so it seems that tests are actually running and doing their job at this point. Run test again: same information box, but now test fails with error. “DROP PACKAGE C_PROD_LINE_KANBAN_MTRL_TST ORA-04043: object C_PROD_LINE_KANBAN_MTRL_TST does not exist”. The .tst file starts with“CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE C_Prod_Line_Kanban_Mtrl_TST IS...”So there is a difference between upper and lower case. However both the package name and the tes

Using Shop Order Requisitions supply in Production Line Management

We are looking for ways to plan and control the production of high volume parts somewhere in the middle of a more complicated product. One way would be to use Production Line Management. But since the parts are serial tracked and we need as built structures, we cannot use production schedules. So generating shop order requisitions from the proposed schedule would be an option. However, MRP does not seem to see these as supply for its demand. I get a shop order requisition from MRP too. That does not happen with a production schedule. This seems inconsistent to me. What’s the idea?

Can I filter on array elements a saved query (ODATA capabilities in 22R1)?

References can be used in filters and are also expandable items. Hence, we can have a saved query that filters on a value in a reference. Example: find the inventory parts for planner with name ‘Kenneth Pettersson’. Odata string would look like this:<your server stuff>/main/ifsapplications/projection/v1/InventoryPartHandling.svc/InventoryPartSet?$select=Contract,PartNo,PlannerBuyer&$filter=PlannerBuyerRef/BuyerName eq 'Kenneth Pettersson'And I can use “PlannerBuyerRef/BuyerName eq 'Kenneth Pettersson'” in the Advanced option for a saved query, or in a lobby data source based on a projection.In theory, Odata 4.0 would support filtering also on array contents, I think. Projection Based Lobby Datasources not working in Lobby?

We have tried the new feature using (IFS standard) projections as a data source for lobby elements in 22R1, service update 3. In some cases it’s the only option if you want to navigate properly so it’s a nice feature. However, they only work in preview mode. When accessed through the lobby, they show no data. A look behind the curtains reveals a “Metadata not found” error. The lobbies are granted to a permission set, which we are testing with. Any clues to how to fix this problem?

PMRP and planning method E

Are there special considerations when setting up PMRP and using parts with planning method E? We are running such a case in Apps 9 and it looks like the unit cost is calculated to 0, resulting in all demand being put together into one lot. It works fine with regular MRP. Since this is an old version, maybe this is a known and corrected bug?

Equivalent of "where exists" with subselect in IFS Cloud

A rather common case for saved queries and start pages in older versions are queries like "all shop orders for inventory parts with safety code S". In IFS EE, this can be done with a "where exists" sql clause and a subselect query. Is there a way to do this type of filtering in an IFS Cloud page? It can be done in a lobby element, but I can't get navigation to work since I cannot make the same filtering in the target page.

No as-built structure from Production Schedule Receipt

Why is there no as-built structure after a Production Schedule Receipt? It is clearly stated in the documentation, but why? The assistant includes steps to edit the structure and move serials and batches between parents. What for, if not for the as-built structure?

What happened to the tab Originals between Apps10 and IFS Cloud (Aurena)?The activities “Register Document Original” and “Register Sheets for the Original” have also been removed from the process model, so I assume this functionality has either been completely deprecated, or replaced by something else?
