Apply criteria to a standard menu item

i want  ‘Create Pick List’ on the Quick Order Flow Handling Menu to be visible (or not visible) based on the value of a custom field held against the Customer. Is there a way to achieve this? Initially I was going to remove permission to it, and add in my own custom menu item which called the following code. IF (CUSTOMER_CREDIT_INFO_CFP.Get_Cf$_Credit_Block(objkey_) <> 'Yes') THEN   p1_ := Customer_Order_Transfer_API.Allowed_To_Send(ord_no_, 'ORDRSP');   Customer_Order_Flow_API.Check_All_License_Connected(p1_, ord_no_);   attr_ := 'START_EVENT70ORDER_NO' || ord_no_ || 'END';   Customer_Order_Flow_API.Start_Create_Pick_List__(attr_);   COMMIT; END IF;  These commands are shown in debug console when you create pick list from the QOFH screen, but don’t seem to work when i call them in a procedure. Appreciate any help with the code, or with applying criteria to menu items. TIA. Chris.

Linking a Bank to a Supplier Payment Proposal

We acknowledged a payment proposal and trying to create a payment order. I select the payment method and the payment institute, and then get an error which says Cash account CAN DOLLARS is not available in payment institute CANADAAny ideas what we’ve missed? TIA Chris.

Restrictive Shop Order Pick List

When you create a shop order pick list it adds all reserved parts onto it. Is there a way to be more selective about which lines are include?  (We don’t want to pick the entire shop order immediately) TIA, Chris.

Project Picking when Part is on a Frozen Stock Count

We’ve noticed the following scenario. (IFS APPS 9) Part A exists as Project Miscellaneous Demand on an Activity, Qty 1. A Count Report is subsequently created for Part A, and the count is frozen. (10 in stock - TOTAL) Part A on the activity is subsequently reserved, and a project pick list is created. The picker picks 1. The stock checker now goes to count the part, and counts 9. Once the count is unfrozen, the 1 on the activity is issued and the QOH goes down to 8.  Result - we’ve written 1off incorrectly.   Other than manual controls, is there any way in IFS to improve this process? PMRP over ordering

If we create a Project Purchase that has a minimum order qty and then more demand is created, its not looking at the surplus supply and IFS creates another purchase requisition to purchase more. Example:Project demand: 10PO X 50 ( Minimum order qty)Surplus: = 40New project demand x 10PMRP creates another Purchase requisition x 50What are we doing wrong? Office 365 IFS SMTP - APPS9

There was a similar topic about a year ago, but my error is slightly different. We’re moving our IFS VM into Azure, and unauthenticated SMTP email doesn’t work in Azure. So I’ve create a new mailbox in O365 and I’m using that to send authenticated email. I’ve got this working with other Apps. When I make the changes to IFS CONNNECT below and then try and email a PO, I get the error below. Any ideas anyone.? TIA Chris.

Java Mail Upgrade - Office 365 IFS SMTP - APPS9

OK. So I’m trying to migrate my IFS Apps 9 servers into Azure. The main issue I’ve found during testing is that Azure requires Authenticated SMTP email. I’ve configured IFS Connect as I believe it should be configured, but I get an error saying TLS1.0 and TLS1.1 are not allowed and that TLS1.2 needs to be set as default.I think this might be because the Java Mail applet on the IFS MW Server is version 1.4, and version 1.4 doesn’t support TLS1.2So my question is, having downloaded javax.mail.jar version 1.6 (which supports TLS 1.2) does anyone know how I install it?TIA. BLOBS in Crystal Reports

Having trouble displaying a BLOB field in Crystal.If I drag media_thumb from media_item onto my report, it displays the thumbnail in design mode, but when I preview, it errors with   If I insert a picture and change the properties of the picture to use the media_thumb field, that also crashes saying you can’t use blob fields in queries.Any ideas how I get around this. TIA.

Availability Check API?

Hi,If we tick the availability check box on inventory part / misc, it flashes up the estimated delivery date and updates the customer order line. Does anyone know the API that is called to generate this date? I ran it in debug but can’t see anything obvious. (I want to use this to display estimated delivery date on another screen) TIA Chris.

ORDER_SUPP_DEM_EXT_TMP_VIEW - No data

Understand that this table only gets populated once someone looks at a part in I P A P.Is it possible to replicate this in PLSQL so i have data to report on?TIA Chris.

Change Part Number

I want to have a generic sales part number e.g. “J” that users can add to a customer order line. Then have a custom event that runs before the line is saved that recognises the part number is “J”,  determines the max value + 1 of part numbers beginning with J e.g. “J20010” and then substitutes &NEW:PART_NO = ‘J20010’,so i can then run a script to auto create “J20010” as a Sales Part number, but i get the error “PLS-00201: identifier 'J' must be declared.Is changing the part number on a customer order line before saving the record possible?TIA Chris. Stop a Customer Order

Morning,We tend to put a default 6 weeks delivery date on 99% of a spare parts customer orders, and if the parts come in early, we’ll ship early. Happy days.Occasionally we’ll get an order where the customer doesn’t want the goods until the actual promised date. Is there anything within Apps 9 that stops the picking until a specific date?  TIA Chris.

Payment Run Hasnt emailed remittances

Hi All,It looks like the payment run had generated remittances in the report archive, but they haven’t gone through to the pdf archive and haven’t emailed. Is there a way to rerun ?TIA Chris.we’re on apps 9

Change series number in PL/SQL Developer?

We’d like to change the next number on the shipment_seq to 40000 to avoid duplication of numbers in an archive shipping system. Will it let me do this in PL/SQL developer with no implications? (Can’t see anywhere within IFS to do this)Thanks, Chris.

Crystal Errors

I’m unable to preview Crystal Reports in my Test IFS Apps 9 DB. I’ve recently updated the Test DB from Live, and copied all the crystal files too., and also updated values in SYSTEM PARAMETERS.I’ve edited the database location in Crystal  from IFSL to IFSR and can successfully preview data in reports from within Crystal. But as soon as i try and preview the report from with IFS, i get the following errorand the following error in the crystal log. Any advice gratefully received. MRP Creates Purchase Req Despite Project Activity in Planned State

MRP has created a purchase req for a part. The only demand for this part is on a planned activity. I was under the impression MRP ignores activities that aren’t released. Interestingly i have another part on the same activity, and mrp correctly ignores this so must be something to do with the part??Does anyone have an idea as to what may be going on?Thanks in advance.

Project Time Registration - Can see all employees

Morning, We’re testing Project Time Registration. When a user F2’s on this screen they see time registrations for all empoyees rather than just being restricted to their own - as happens on the Time Registration screen. Have we missed a setup screen? Thanks, Chris.

set default date on time clock

Morning Is there any way to set the init value on start date on time clock to be today? Tried sysdate but it just puts the text sysdate in there. TIA.

restrict access to specific fields to specific users

We use permissions sets to specify whether users have none, query or full access to screens, but if for example 10 users in a permission set have full access to a screen, whats the easiest way to only allow 1 of them to update a specific field on that screen?   Thanks, Chris.

NCR Object Connections

I’ve created an object connection for PurchaseReceipt that allows me to to manually link a PO Receipt to an NCR that I created using the NCR wizard.   Is this the correct process flow? Register Inspection Results, then Create the NCR, and then link the 2 together?     Thanks, Chris.
