Dear Community,We had to update the IFS application with a new database connection details.So we deleted the instance using installer and the created a new instance.After creating the new instance i just noticed that the inventory.xml file doesn’t contain record of middleware mws and http oracle homes.I think I need to execute below scripts to attach Oracle Homes.\\<IFS_HOME>\mw_home\mws\oui\bin\attachHome.cmd\\<IFS_HOME>\mw_home\http\oui\bin\attachHome.cmd Would it be possible to know whether it is normal to not to create those records in inventory.xml when creating a new instance from installer.Do we need to run the scripts to create those missing lines of the inventory.xml after each new instance creation.We would highly appreciate your comments on this.Thank you in Advance.
Hi All,We are trying to attach Media attachments to the Functional Object page.Object connection is already set up for EquipmentFunctional LU.and I tried with the view EQUIPMENT_FUNCTIONAL_UIV as well.When trying to upload media items:“Editable flag of Object Connection Transformation is None. New connections are not allowed.” When trying to click on manage media:“LU is not media aware.”The user already has the permission set ‘MEDIA_LIBRARY’.I would really appreciate it if anyone can give any suggestions on this, please.Thank you in Advance.

Hello Everyone, There is a requirement to send Attachments with the same email of the Purchase Order’s Print Order...The mail should contain the attachments of the Purchase Order as well as the Purchase Order report.This should be happen only if the attachments are in specific document classes eg: 4600 - 4699.This should be work in Aurena as well. Hi All,We are using MediaLibrary for expensedetail LU.When we try to view media attachments, the IFS application gets stuck and it will automatically solve within 55 - 60 seconds.When there are more expense sheets to check, waiting 60 seconds to return the application to a stable state will not work.Does anyone familiar with a similar situation or have any idea to solve this, please?Thank you in Advance!

Hi All,We got this error from a cloud 22R2 client and we had to reboot the Linux box to bring this environment back online.And now we are trying to find the root cause of this incident.But when we create mct1 logs, most of the logs have been initiated when we restarted and couldn’t find much information relevant to this downtime.We checked database alert logs but there were no suspicious records related to this offline.And we couldn’t find errors in Event Viewer as well.Could you kindly let me know where to look to get more information, please?Appreciate your valuable suggestions and opinion on this.IFS Aurena client version: 22.2.1.20221024062126.0
Hi All,When I search for History Log under Presentation Objects by Component tab, I’m not getting the History Log subset within ‘IFS Base Functionality’.But if I do the same in the TEST environment, I can see them there.I’m login as IFSADMIN and have the same permissions as the IFSAPP user.The below image is from Production From PRODIn TEST we can see them as below.Kindly let me know how can I enable/add them back to production.Thank you in Advance.
Hi All,This query is regarding the ‘Personal Portal’ of an IFSAPP 7.5 client.When I click on the ‘Personal Portal’ in the navigator, it gives me the below error. Hi All,We got the error ‘domain index is marked LOADING/FAILED/UNUSABLE’ when we click on the finish button of ‘Create Document Assistant’. There were a few background jobs that kept executing for a long time. I had to stop them and dropped all DOCMAN search domains and rebuilt them as mentioned in the below post and Error: "ORA-29861: domain index is marked LOADING/FAILED/UNUSABLE"Now we can create documents using ‘‘Create Document Assistant’ but I noticed a few things which I need your opinion on:Search Domain synchronization has been set for every 30 mins and the ‘DocumentContent’ task takes more than 20 mins to complete (go to Ready status). Do I need to change the frequency of this scheduled task? for example every day at 00:00 Noticed that rebuild scheduled tasks are no longer active, do I need to enable them? What is the best frequency to rebuild this rebuild application search indexes? I really appreciate your valuable suggestions and opinion on this.Thank you in Advance.
Hi All,This is IFS app 10.We can see this error when we try to log in to the application.If I click ok, I will get the below alert and if I view the certificate I can see the old certificate which is already expired. The application URL contains the correct certificate which will expire on a future date.I reconfigured the certificate and it was completed successfully.If I click on ‘Yes’ on the above alert, I will get the below alert with the old certificate.When I click on ‘Update DB wallet’ from the Admin console, I can see below.Kindly let me know how to fix this and really appreciate your valuable thoughts.Thank you in Advance.
Hi All,PDF_REPORT_CREATED custom event action enabled and setup to send payment advices (remittance advices) to suppliers.Supplier AP contact details are also setup correctly in the Supplier>payment tab.But currently in 2 customer environments, the email is not sending for some suppliers but emails sending for some suppliers successfully.The 2 environments are APP09 UPD11 and App08. Kindly advice me if this is an existing issue and any idea to fix this.Thank you in advance!

Hi All,This is IFS APP 10.We had an IP address change and the configuration file contains the IP address instead of the DNS name (server name).We modified the config file but in the installer, still we can see the old IP address.I found below community post and it says to modify the connection string using the Admin Console.IFS APPS10, How configure/change oracle database connection string in IFS Application installer But the application URL is not working to connect with the admin console.Is there any other way to change this connection string or to connect to the admin console?Thank you in Advance.
I’m getting following error when I synchronizing changes on custom fields in a custom logical unit.This type of CollectionView does not support changes to its SourceCollection from a thread different from the Dispatcher thread.I have a persistent Text type customer_id attribute and a read only select statement attribute for company. The company attribute is using the value of customer_id. I’m getting this error only when I try to synchronize the changes and I have completed the work even with this situation.But when I try to import this configuration using a application configuration package to PROD, I’m getting a validation error.34 Validation Result : ERROR35 Validation Info : Error: The column CF$_CUSTOMER_ID refered to in table t is not an approved persistent Custom Attribute. (copied from import log)This customer_id has used to connect to an existing standard window as a parent key as well. Could you please explain.
Hi All,I’m trying to add a new logical printer to the APP75 application.Defined new printer in Logical Printers I have modified the ifs-printagent-config.xml file with the new printer. Stopped and started print agent service. stopped and added the new logical printer into the ‘Application Server Task - Processing Print Job’ and then started.When I print a report using Order report, I can see a new print job created in the Print Manager window with the status ‘REMOTE_WORKING’.But after a few seconds status will change to ‘ERROR’ status.PDFL Exception: 0x40040007:Could not open the specified printer. I could see the below lines in the log file. How can I verify this printer is connected/ shared correctly?Kindly advise me. Thank you in Advance.

Hi All,We have noticed different errors in Print Jobs (Print Queue) and could see them in log file as well.Error: The handle is invalidError: Settings to access printer '\\hhc04\chair cell' are not valid.Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.Error: The system cannot find the file specified And I noticed some errors given printers to complete the print job successfully for the same user and for the same report.But sometimes it will remain in ‘Remote Waiting’.I have checked the ifs-printagent-config.xml file and Physical printers that are mapped with Logicalprinters are available.I really appreciate your valuable opinions to fix this.Thank you in advance.
