Our server instances seem to crash every few days… No, we do not have a root cause, yet. Until then, I was told to set up a notification when the servers go down so we can restart them. How do I do this? Are there specific Windows services specific to the different components (MainServer, IntServer, etc)? When these go down, we cannot even open the Middleware Server Admin Console to look... I would open a ticket in the IFS Customer Support Portal, but my password has expired and there is no way to reset it. That’s another issue…
We have 4 APPS10 instances. I was wondering if there was a utility out there that would let me see the status of all the middleware on one screen?
Is it at all possible to change the look, feel, or text of the Welcome to IFS Appliations! page in Aurena? We have multiple environments (Test, Development, and Production). It would be VERY helpful to have a visual difference to these screens so users can identify which system they are in. Looking at the URL in and address bar is not always available. For example, if you are using a Windows 11 webpage desktop app, there is no address bar visible. We really need to have something to differentiate between environments! Our old ERP system (25+ years old) had the ability to customize more than IFS...
Can you grant permissions and Companies and Sites based on group membership? I have like 40 users that need access to a set of companies and sites. They all belong to the same group. I cannot figure out how to do this without opening each user and checking the box for the company/site needed… I want to do it for the group and have it inherit based on that. If that is not possible, how do you mass update users with a change like this? if 23 of the 40 users need a specific company and/or site, can I select them all and add them en mass? Can you select the site and multi-add users? Anything that lets us avoid having to do things one at a time?
Our Finance can print a payment Check using IEE without problem, but the option to print a check is not on the menu in Aurena.We have APPS10 update 12 I believe...
IFS in mid deployment/implimentation. We have two environements. In “ONE” when we go to Create Customer Invoices it only shows Orders with Delivered Status. We have no filters set, and we cannot change is to show any other statuses. In environment “TWO” when we go to this session(?) it shows orders with any status. What is causing ONE to only show Delivered and TWO to show all? this is IFS 10(?) on premise (not cloud).
Is it possible to give access to a Company or Site using Permission Sets instead of individually in the User’s settings?
We have a vendor that we want to use to create a few simple integration points between a Maximo system and IFS (ie. POs, PO Lines, Vendors). They’ve asked for a database or document library with the IFS REST APIs documentation. I’ve seen INSIDE Ifs that you can bring up some documentation about the individual API used in a session (such as POs), but how does a 3rd party get access to this documentation so they can write their side of an integration (the puts and gets and syntax and etc)…?Basically we have a few points to be sent FROM Maximo TO IFS… They are Maximo Engineers so they know that side of things, but we need to get them the information…. thanks.
We can authenticate with Aurena and AurenaB2B without issue using ADFS (with single sign-on)…We cannot complete the logon to the Enterprise Explorer Native app…We use a number of alternate UPN suffixes in our Active Directory. IEE will only authenticate users that have the base, default, domain name assigned in their UPN. for example… the base domain is “@basedomain.net”, but my account uses “@publicdomain.com”. when I authenticate via ADFS, using MyAccount@publicdomain.com, I receive an error from IEE “The user specified in the provided id token does not appear to be an active user in the system.” If I authenticate with a user account that is assigned the base domain, like otheruser@basedomain.net, they can get right in…Thought I would reach out to the community to see if anyone has ran into this before as we are not seeing a quick response from our Integration partner...
