I am looking for a way to run a replication job for Inventory Parts from Contract A to Contract B. However, I want to change the value of a few fields when it goes to Contract B. Overall, we are changing to streamline our part creation process and one of the challenges we have faced was trying to replicate 80% of the inventory part into a new contract, but there are few value changes. Example would be Inventory Part Planner 17 for Contract A = Inventory Part Planner 20 for Contract B. Is it possible to change values of certain fields through the replication job?
We are currently using Apps 10 and are multi-company/multi-site using the EDI/MHS messages within IFS to pass data between the sites. Within the Dispatch Advice documentation it states the PRO_NO is for The tracking or booking number for transport of goods. This information is sent out in the dispatch advice, however, we can’t find where this data is picked up within IFS on the incoming dispatch advice. Does anyone know if this data is picked up and stored anywhere? Each year we provide our customers with a price list that includes:Part #’s they can order Base Price per part Customer Discount per part Net Price per partCurrently we have create a very complex query that provides all the logic from all the pricing logic to provide a list of all the parts. Ideally we would want to use the exact logic as Price Query but that is only one part at a time. Has anyone found a way to generate a price list for all parts for a customer that is using the price query logic? Our output is simply an excel file that has multiple rows of data for each part that customer can purchase from us.
Anytime our inventory numbers are off or sales support consumes something they shouldn’t have, we have to jump through hoops to invoice block the lines, or invoice the inventory and do a credit, then fake ship inventory to repopulate consignment stock.Is there a way to “un-consume” consignment stock or another way to handle consignment stock/transactions?Thank you in advance.
We are starting to look into integration between IFS and our bank. One of the questions I have is I see IFS has a BAI file format (Apps 10) but is there a way to INGEST a file from the bank automatically? Today we upload files and looking to automate aspects such as ACH payments. I was looking through routing rules/routing addresses out of the box and nothing jumped out at me then I read something about others doing this: 1. You have to define message codes based on your bank file2. Define external payment parameters within IFS based on bank file3. Bank would upload the document to the desired location, that file then would need to be placed in the application server IN folder. 4. The file will be loaded, and matching/payments will be performed based on the parameters setup. Setting up something like the Auto Cash file or something, I would assume we would need to do something with routing rules or routing addresses as well but maybe not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Currently we have a few customer fields we have on Customer Order and we utilize EDI functionality. Thus we use IFS’s out of the box XML (bizAPIs). Has anoyne found a way to add additional information that can flow to a custom field or would this be an IFS modification.
Does anyone know if there is a way to call into IFS via API to generate the Invoice PDF? We currently email our customers their invoices but we would like to have our customers get a copy of their invoice on-demand via our website. Thus the idea would be to call IFS via API and generate or pull the archived PDF.
In Apps 10 Aurena the message pop-ups display and disappear very quickly. For example, if you are adding a Customer Order Line and Availability Check runs, it displays what your date moved to. Although, the display message comes up and goes away before the user can read the actual message. Is there a way to adjust the timing on these messages?
We are currently using Apps 10 and looking to potentially integration our IFS application to address validation software. Has anyone had experience with utilizing 3rd party software to do this? If so what software platform are you using and what was your experience with the integration?

Is there a way to setup a minimum customer order quantity before shipping product. Say XYZ customer doesn’t like to receive multiple shipment charges but they place orders frequently. Can you setup a way in IFS to say if Customer XYZ’s quantity is over 100USD ship it, if not do not ship it?
One of the requirements from our offices is that they are able to add a “complementary” part to a sales quotation, it will show the price but not add the price of that part into the total. So in a case where the customer contacts us for a Sales Quotation. Our team would like to add complementary parts (or what they call alternative parts) on the Sales Quotation. They want to show the price to the customer and potential discount, however, they don’t want to show it in the total. Is this an option within IFS? I know complementary parts exist but it seems to always add them into the total of the Sales Quotation. It seems more of an opportunity functionality rather than Sales Quotation.
During our customer consignment process our customers report back what has been consumed/sold, this process is manual and tracked on a spreadsheet. As you can imagine at time lot numbers and/or serial numbers are not correct. We are looking to get our customers barcoded technology that will allow them to scan the products at time of consumption. Has anyone utilized barcode scanners with IFS to report consignment? If, so what barcode scanners are you using and how does your process work as they report/scan the material?
We are currently working on some solutions to improve our dates for our customers. One gap we currently have within IFS is that ATP (Available to Promise) and CTP (Capability check or Capable to Promise) do not include open supply, unless the Wanted Date is within the Open Supply window. Example where Supply is not seen:Customer Order Wanted Delivery Date - 5/10/21 Shop Order Due Date 5/12 ATP runs and shows you can only fulfill so much of the order (based on qty on hand and selling qty). Thus the user runs CTP moves the promise date on the customer order to the full part lead time (30 days) even though the supply is coming in on the 12th. Example where Supply is seen:Customer Order Wanted Delivery Date - 5/10/21 Shop Order Due Date 5/8 ATP or CTP see the supply and the date properly plans the customer order. With the supply not being seen on the first one example, we get an extended lead time that is no necessary. Do any other customers run into this issue? If so, have you come up wi
Does anyone know a way to see how often or the last time a user has logged in to IFS Apps 10? We are managed cloud as well. If so, can you tell how you have done this?
We are using the Receive_Customer_Order BizAPI within IFS. And we noticed that there is a limitation of 30 characters for Address line 2. Does anyone know a way to adjust this limitation to let’s say 50 characters, without modification from IFS? Information:Managed CloudApps 10 UPD 10
Late April our organization upgraded to Apps 10 UPD 10, from Apps 9. We wanted to make this move due to Oracle 12c being discontinued and move to Oracle 19c. We have experienced slowness, Apps 10 freezing, and start pages just spinning and not loading. IFS has been helpful at continuing to look into this but it’s been very challenging to get the issue fixed. For Start Pages it was suggested we move to Lobbies, but that’s not an overnight solution and there is no guarantee that lobbies load any quicker. As for the freezing and slowness we are trying to track it down but it’s been tough. Users try to load screens and nothing shows up, they have to refresh the screen to get something to show up sometimes. Other times they run a quick report, filter shop floor workbench, or just try to load a screen and IFS freezes trying to load it. We had no issues in Apps 9 with freezing and slowness. We made no major modifications or updates that would have caused this. Is anyone experiencing issues w
We are currently running Apps 10 and ran into a few internally questions regarding capability check. Currently we use Inventory Order as our Sourcing Option (Sales Part > General Tab). Using this sourcing option doesn’t allow for Automatic Capability Check (Inventory Part > Misc Part Info). The struggle with this is that our Customer Service team has to rely on Available to Promise (ATP) to run during the customer order line entry. If it pops up a certain message, they are responsible to then run Capability Check. The manual step seems odd, as why wouldn’t IFS just run Capability Check out of the box and review the whole Bill of Material rather than just the top level part. Our organization is trying to understand how to run Capability Check “easier” and to ensure we don’t rely on a manual step to run this and adjust the customer order line to the proper date.Has anyone who been able to run Capability Check automatically or have a process in place where Capability Check will run
Has anyone ever enabled a Custom Field in their WADACO configuration? We have a custom field we want to add into our Transport Task configuration in WADACO but have not done this before. Using Apps 10 UPD 10.
Is there a way to capture who created the transport task? Currently we have some struggles where the user processing the transport task may have questions or such. At this time we have not been able to find any fields that are storing the requestor/creator.
We are looking into moving into more marketing driven emails to our customer. Currently we utilize IFS to send the customer order confirmation, however, the email to our customer doesn’t provide the marketing experience we want today. Does anyone know if IFS has capabilities on document creation, instead of creating PDFs as we do today, can we export the content via xml or some other structured language? This would allow a marketing automation system to take that data (such as send Order Confs / Invoices / Ship Notes) and send them in a nicely formatted HTML version, with tracking and driving the customer back to our site. Or is there a way to improve the emails being sent out of IFS the contain a PDF?
We are looking to use OCR technology with IFS to remove manual order entry and other key aspects that are manual processes today. Has anyone else done this?If so, what software or company did you use to integrate with (ABBYY, PAGERO, etc.)?

Currently we receive an error each time our scheduled task for Update Purchase Lead Time has to perform an update. If no update is needed it runs and the background jobs states it’s ready. Otherwise when it needs to perform an update we get the error “ ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource ORA-06512: at "REST1APP.TRANSACTION_SYS", line 1632 ORA-06512: at "REST1APP.TRANSACTION_SYS", line 683 ORA-06512: at "REST1APP.TRANSACTION_SYS", line 1226” See attached document as well. Has anyone else run into this?
