Hi, I need to add a line into the Header of the SEPA file. it’s a constant, like company name. Please note SEPA is working fine - we just need to add a header line.We can’t figure it out.There is no “File Template ID” associated with it. Client Mapping is only columns. I’m stumped. Obviously, there’s a place where this information is added to the file, but where or how?Thanks!
Hi, the built-in “Gather Statistics” job (aka, Database_Sys.Execute_Analyze_Schema__) is taking over 12 hours to run. Since it’s a built-in job, does anyone have any ideas why it would be taking so long? It was scheduled to run every day - they never changed it from the initial install - and I just changed it to run once a month, which should help, but any thoughts? Thanks!
Hi, I’m going through the IFS Cloud Essentials training and I cannot fast forward or rewind. I’ve tried it in Chrome and in Edge. Even once I’ve finished a course and it’s marked as “Complete”, if I want to watch it again, I have to watch the entire thing. I’m sure you can understand why this is hampering my ability to learn. Thoughts?
Where is the old IFSAPP documentation? I need IFSAPP7 if possible. https://docs.ifs.com/ only has Apps10 and Cloud.
Hello!We’re using Alternate Inventory Parts. If, on a Shop Order, you have to use an alternate part, the work guidelines do no update - it keeps the Shop Order Material Work Guidelines of the original part. While I can obviously create an event to do this, I just want to make sure I’m not taking the hard road. I would think this would be a built-in process.
I have to terminate over 1000 employees. Is there a quick way to do that?
Hello. Our main business is located in the US. We have users in Europe, and we’re on the same instance of IFS. One specific personal user profile keeps getting corrupted in IFS and won’t allow the European user to login using it. They try it on multiple computers on their end and get this message: Your user profile could not be loaded… the operation has timed out… It then won’t allow them to login. We tried logging in from my machine (US), and I didn’t get any error. This user has two logins, and the other one never gets corrupted. He doesn’t change the profile, so isn’t sure what’s going on. Any ideas?
Hello!We have just cloned from production and reconfigured a test instance of Apps9.On the test instance, we’re getting an error that the license is invalid. We attempted to install licenses that we knew were good and got the same error. When we downloaded an emergency license, it worked fine, such as it is.The test instance has the same Customer ID, Installation ID & Installation key as production. We actually changed nothing related to licenses in the test instance - it’s a direct copy from a production instance.
Hey, is there any administration documentation for TouchApps TimeTracker 2.1.10 for Apps9 for setup within IFS? I’m looking for information on the Admin menu (see screenshot). I have it installed and can login via my android, but there are so many nuances. I tried the link from the configuration console, and it gives me a 404 error (see screenshot). I looked through all the questions on here, and only found two power points for end-users. (An introduction for end-users and a user guide for end-users; see screen shot). I looked at the information in the Foundation documentation, but it’s generalized (see screen shot). I couldn’t find any admin information at all, not just for version 2.1.10. All help is appreciated!

We have single sign on enabled for our Apps10 database. When we need to refresh the data on a test database which does not have SSO, we then have to go through and change the user directories one-by-one and change them from an email address to just the username. Is there a better way? I am hoping there’s a “click a button or two and it’s undone” option. Or, I suppose, we could run a script to update the directory ID. Any one have any ideas? Currently, changing directories one-by-one
The TouchApps server itself is set up and works for other instances. I’m deploying it for another instance.First, I ran the “PrepareTAS.sql” job. It ran with no errors. I checked that the user accounts and table spaces were set up.Then, I ran the “IFS Touch Apps Server Installation Package 1.15.1.672”. I check along the way to ensure that every connection works and that App Server can be pinged.It errors out at the Install step. Does anyone have a permission set designed for TimeTracker 2.1.XX? We have 2.1.10 installed on our Apps9 on-prem instance, and there is no “Generate Role Script”. I have an older permission set from 1.4.0, but it is missing a lot. I was able to glean some of the missing information from errors in the log, and now I can login to TimeTracker on my android phone, but get an error that I’m missing “basic data “ and I can’t do anything. It isn’t missing any basic data, as when I login as the app owner, there is no such error. Enclosed is a screen shot of the config screen showing that there is no option to generate the permission set.
When going to the web-based administration site for Touch Apps for one of our instances, we are unable to login. The error seems obvious - remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure. But multiple people have looked at the cert and it all looks good. Maybe we’re missing something. Does anyone have any tips on checking the cert? Has anyone else gotten this when it isn’t the cert? We’ve had no issue with our other instances, so it’s not as if we haven’t been through a cert install, etc., before.
Is there a way to back up the base profiles? We’d like to automatically back them up every day and then keep the backups for a seven days. I’m sure I can figure out the rolling seven days piece if I could figure out how to back them up in the first place. Thank you.
