After we upgraded to IFS10 we are struggling with slowness in our Oracle DB. We haven’t been able to pinpoint the cause of our problems. But very often (5-10 times each week), we see that the CPU goes to 100% and doesn’t let go. Every user in our company are then struggling with slowness when this happens. As an example, saving a time registration can take 3-4 minutes.Today, a restart of the DB server was necessary to get it back to normal. We have used the query below to find CPU consuming operations, and have also checked background jobs and DMBS jobs. Nothing special has been running when the problems occur, or at least nothing that helps us to conclude on a specific problem.select s.username, s.inst_id, s.sid, s.serial#, s.status, (select value from gv$sesstat natural join v$statname where name = 'physical reads' and sid=s.sid)disk_reads, (select value from gv$sesstat natural join v$statname where name = 'session logical reads' and sid=s.sid) logical_reads, (select value/100 cpu_
I want to have access to our users last login date for IFS10. There is a column in ORACLE_ACCOUNT (dba_users), but this doesn’t seem to log Logins to the Application, only PL/SQL, BAES and other stuff. Earlier we created a trigger to fetch logins from active sessions, but this caused problems. Anyone knows how to get hold of this Login information? We want to use it for license control.
We are a customer with Developer License, we handle our own upgrades and are set as Prime. Our IFS rep has just set us as «Self Sevice Enabled» so we can get access to IFS bugs and patches. But they are unsure where we can access and download them. Their view is probably different from ours. Does anyone knows where we can access them? We have access to partner.ifs.com, community and support center.
We have had huge stability problems with our IFS production environment this week. It seems to be related to the middleware server. We are on IFS10 upd11. We upgraded from upd7 two weeks ago. First week it was stable, but this last week has been bad.All targets seems to be running, but IFS cannot be accessed. If we try to restart the targets we get this error:A new START again gets it all started, but then it falls down again after a while. We are a little bit lost now. Could anyone point us in a direction where to search for the error?
After upgrading from IFS10 upd7 to upd11 last weekend, we have seen strange things in othe HR module. Have anybody else upgraded successfully without issues in the HR module? We have a rather complex matrix organization structure,, where organization access, position access, and role based access are in use. To mention some of the things that have occurred:Employees that have had a manager position earlier, have been reinstated in that role with end date 31.12.9999 We have trouble setting manager roles when they are not hierarchy structured (worked fine in upd7) A Persons that never had a manager roles for another person, suddenly became manager . We haven’t found the reasons for this, but suspect that there are challenges in the upgrade scripts. Other than this upd11 is very nice! Aurena is superfast compared to earlier updates.
We heard that it’s possible to notify our users with rolling text inside of IFS. Does anyone knows how this is enabled and can be used? I think the rolling text will be visible in the address field in Enterprise Explorer. (is this possible in Aurena as well?) Wants to notify users with info about upcoming updates, important actions, etc.
Hi,For some reason IFS have different accounts and password for https://community.ifs.com/ (works good!)and http://partner.ifs.com/ (getting a wrong password)The last one seems to go through Login to IFS Services where there is no possibility to reset my password: Does anyone know how to reset this password without contact help desk?
We are trying to roll out the IFS Aurena Extension users, but can’t get it to work. We are on IFS10 upd11. It’s seems to be installed correctly, also the msi file. We get this error when going to User Settings in Aurena: I think that this worked earlier on the same IFS version, but after we tried to roll it out through SCCM we get this error. Anyone knows how to fix this?
I see that UPD6 is out now. Anyone running this and can recommend going forward installing it? We are on UPD5 now. https://open.ifsworld.com/mediashare/mediapage.aspx?entityId=12137 Heard something of some bugs and unstable things in UPD6. This was due to some design change, I heard. Anyone knows more about this?
We see that the missing copy/paste functionality for Travel Expenses is still missing in UPD15 in IFS10. There is no Duplicate functionality either. This is really something our users are missing. It’s available in IEE. The same topic has been raised around the Community.Aurena - Duplicate Line | IFS CommunityAurena Vs Enterprise Explorer | IFS Community What is IFS Roadmap for supporting this?
When publishing IFS IEE on the internet, we couldn’t find any settings to configure IEE to work with preauthentication through Azure Application Proxy. Does anyone knows if this is possible? Please see recommendation from Microsoft here: Security considerations for Azure Active Directory Application Proxy | Microsoft Docs
