Within the Contacts grid on the Customer page, I added a Custom Menu option that allows the user to highlight a Contact, RMB click, and select “Push to Salesforce”. This calls an externally hosted REST API that gets the details, does a bunch of backend validation and such, and then pushes the contact to our CRM. It works great using the code below: DECLARE person_id_ VARCHAR2(50) := &PERSON_ID; url_params_ plsqlap_record_api.type_record_;BEGIN url_params_ := Plsqlap_Record_API.New_Record('URL_PARAMETERS'); Plsqlap_Record_API.Set_Value(url_params_ ,'personid', person_id_, caseSensitive_ => TRUE); Plsql_Rest_Sender_API.Call_Rest_EndPoint_Empty_Body(rest_service_ =>'SEND_CONTACT_TO_SF', url_params_ => url_params_ , http_method_ => 'GET', sender_
I need a ‘Right-Click’ action that calls an external API endpoint using an API key. Here’s the scenario:We have created a custom logical unit table that stores incoming prospect information from our website displayed in a grid. I have created a custom context menu option (Push to Salesforce) that pops up correctly, but what I need to do is attach an action to that click that pulls specific column data from the row, and calls the API endpoint (https://test.endpointurl.com/v1/customer/{person_id}). It’s a GET method that accepts the PERSON_ID from the data row that was clicked. I’ve found a few posts that discuss how to call the REST API using the PL/SQL BLOCK method, but none address my two specific challenges:How to implement the API Key, not basic or bearer authorization How to pass column data into the parametersAny guidance would be appreciated.
We have a custom logical unit with a list of tasks that need to be handled. It works well, but we overlooked the need to know who is assigned to each task. We could simply create a freeform text field for the employee’s name that is assigned to handle that task, but that opens up a host of issues and inconsistencies that could create issues down the road. We would prefer to create a custom enumeration so the field becomes a drop down list of specific users. I could do this manually, but we don't want to create something we would have to manually maintain in the future.Ideally, we would like to see the list populated with all users that are assigned to specific roles that have permission to update the form. Can that be done?
We are in the process of implementing IFS for the first time, so this might be a newbie problem, but this is my first time working with the RESTful APIs in IFS10. We have a 3rd party application that scans the barcodes of each product as it comes off our assembly line, and records a timestamp in a separate SQL database identifying when each finished good was completed. They are identified by the Work Order and Sequence # from the shop order. I’ve been tasked with modifying the app to push this info into IFS updating the work order. Unfortunately, I can’t simply close out the order line each time a product is completed because most order lines have large quantities. If the order line has a QTY of 70 (for example), I need to be able to log each one of the products as a unique transaction incrementing them until the total equals 70, then close the order line. How would I log these transactions in IFS? If it matters, we do not log finished goods into inventory. They are literally stacked o
