Can you do a non-db list in FSM6? The idea being I have a really expensive query (proximal booked tasks) that shouldn’t be run without an inner constraint of a Request’s Place ID, so I want to kick it off on screen data load then give users a bunch of hyperlinks so they can go out and leverage key synergies, or something. I see “kind of” nondb list stuff on some of the baseline lookup screens but don’t want to experiment forever. If someone can kindly point out the checkbox I missed or point at somewhere baseline it would be appreciated!
(FSM 6) I have a remote API that needs to be hit like GET https://remoteapi/dothething/12345 With the “12345” being variable. This is being stored in a userdef on the primary table of the integration map. Is there a way to pass this userdef to the message routing rule as a variable for the URL? Maybe I could update the message routing rule and refresh the integration cache prior to firing the outbound integration but that’s ugly.
So I’ve got a web client script which is basically: 1. do stuff 2. run billing generation/initialize receipt/whatever returns a run ID 3. (when 2 completes) do stuff that requires 2 to be done 3 can’t run until 2 completes. Right now I just loop until the log says it’s complete and call a SQL query that’s just a WAITFOR every repeat so it plays nice.Is there a built-in/better way to wait for 2 to finish?
(FSM 6) We’re making some changes to data visibility in FSM and are trying to set all Tasks to be in the same Access Group as their parent Request - even when the parent Request updates. The predefined business rules for setting Access Groups (67, 70) only fire before insert/update for their associated tables. This means a Request’s Access Group may change and the Task won’t follow it. Those rules seem the only way to change the Access Group of a record in FSM - meaning I can’t just make a custom rule that updates that column. I could make a custom rule that updates a userdef on the child Task when its parent Request is updated to trigger the appropriate predefined rule but that seems hacky. Am I missing a better approach to this or some key understanding of how the rules behave? Would rather write a hacky rule than change how we’re using the fields because that would break some of our reporting, but if I can avoid creating a new rule entirely - even better!
(FSM6u8)Looking for a way to generate Part Usage lines off the Part Needs generated from an ADVR/SO RMA line. Was expecting the “Allow Invoice” setting on the Return Process would generate the Usage, but it doesn’t.
Preface - this is not an accessibility issue. My users report the 6.8 Web Client row selection and highlight colors are causing eyestrain relative to each other, the column header, and unselected rows. Example (from a ListGroup):Contrast I agree these colors do not contrast enough in some screen/lighting situations. Is there a supported way to change these colors? Would prefer to avoid poking at main_bundle.js or overriding styling at the browser. The closest topic I’ve found is this:
