In Apps10 IEE, when duplicating a purchase order line that was associated with a purchase requisition, is there an easy way to inherit the purchase requisition number, project connection and associated doc text information to the new line? Our users are reporting that this was the behavior in Apps 8 before we upgraded to Apps 10.
Is there a best practice or suggestion for moving our older data in our history logs tables to another database and still having the data available along with the newer history log data (i.e. union the old and new history logs)? We have many terabytes of data that is causing database maintenance problems keeping it in our main schema but we need to retain the older data for audit purposes.

Historically our company has tracked what we call ‘as required’ qty in engineering BOMs typically for materials used in the manufacturing process (epoxy, paint, etc).In IFS, the design engineers will put a qty .001 (a convention we invented) meaning that the exact qty is unknown at design time, but will be updated by a manufacturing engineer when the actual amount of material needed (ie 2 gallons) is known.We want to move away from the .001 for some technical reasons. Is there an industry standard way, supported by IFS, to handle this type of scenario.
Is there an accepted way to create receipts for items that do not have a Purchase Order (or Customer Order). We have a business requirement to track miscellaneous items that did not originate from a Purchase Order. We are on APPS10 using EE.

Can anyone please explain what system process is changing the Required Date on Material Lines on shop orders? Some process is resetting the dates to the Shop Order Header Start Date. We have a business requirement that when a user changes this date it needs to be preserved.
I’m using the following syntax in a saved search to filter down a list of values based on the value of a custom fieldCF$_PROJ_ID = :i_hWndFrame.frmRequisitionDetail_Cust.CustomField[1] However, this breaks when there are multiple custom fields and the user doesn’t have that custom field in the [1] position. Is there a way to reference the custom field by name and not the order?
We have created a custom field to store a piece of metadata for our purchase orders. The field is selected from a list of values which is then ‘filtered’ by using a search that filters the values based on the supplier id. I can get this to work for me, but is there a way to make this search/filter the default for all users so that when they click the LoV they always get the sub-select search?
We have a business requirement to change many of our top level project ids. It looks like this is a primary key on the project_tab table, so it sounds like it might be messy. Can anyone help provide guidance on approaches to changing project ids, if there is a third party tool, or if it would be possible using any of the built-in migration tools. We are on apps10 if it matters. TIA

We have a custom logical unit populated by another system that has a list of codes for suppliers. Custom LU attributesVendor Id Code Number DescriptionA supplier can have 1 or more codes, but the user needs to select a single code for a Purchase Order based on a sub-select of codes for the supplier of the purchase order. I’ve created a custom field on the purchase order which is a ‘Reference’ to the LU view. But I’m stuck on how to get the LOV to only show the values for the specific supplier (it currently shows all the rows in the LOV view). Should I be using a Custom Enumeration instead? All of our existing enumerations are static, so I’m not sure if it’s possible to have dynamic enumerations. TIA
Is there a lightweight method to limit a text box entry length on the client in apps 10 (similar to adding a max length attribute to an html tag)? I would like to to this without creating a validation event. We have an external system that requires a smaller field size than what IFS allows.

We upgrade to Apps 10 recently. In Apps 8 our PM Action Maintenance plan properly calculated based on the actual finish date of the work order. See 6/30/2022 below. We are experiencing different behavior in App10 with the Maintenance Plan incrementing the Due Date based on some other value (not actual finish of the work order). Please see highlighted are below. Can any help explain how to fix this behavior? Or understand why this is happening. We have bad due dates in the system now.

I’m trying to format a hyperlink to get to a specific Receipt line number. Here is my link, even though source_ref3 equals line number 2. The link always brings the user to line number 1.
