How to perform revaluation for inventory parts with Standard Cost as valuation method. Is there any way to update/change cost for all the parts in one go. Currently using App 9. Prompt response is needed. Thanks in Adv.
Hi Experts One of our clients have a purchase scenario where they purchase material in Nos, lets say Steel Plate 2x5mm and price that material in Kg.So at the time of inspection, they get to know the exact weight of the material. Based on the weight of the material received, invoice will be received from supplier and then payment process.There will be a difference in PO amount and Invoice amount. How to settle that.If anyone can run through best possible process for this scenario.Regards

Hello experts, In document management, can we set a certain time in days for step approval. Lets suppose, 5 people need to approve a document one by one. Can we set a limit on each step that each one shouldn’t take more than 5 days to approve,. If five days are crossed, it moves to another person. In case, the approver doesn’t either approve or reject due to any reason, how can we move to the next approver. Like Forward or bypass etc.Main idea is to restrict approve to prevent delay in approval process.Note: Using Group is not a option here, client uses individual as document approvers.Please advise. Hi ExpertsRecently i came across with a business scenario where our client has an internal maintenance department and it performs maintenance on their own assets.For Example: They are performing maintenance on an Air Conditioner. There is a fault in one component of air conditioner i.e. compressor so they purchase it through normal purchase process and replace it with the faulty one. Now, they get the faulty compressor repaired and keep it into inventory so that it can be used whenever required.My Question is how to add unpurchased component (i.e. Faulty compressor which was repaired) into inventory. What would be the cost of that compressor? Do mention if anybody has experienced this kind of scenario.looking for some positive response. Regards
Hi Experts, In on of our clients, there is a scenario where they have a contract with multiple currencies. E.g. Rupee and USD. Base currency is Rupee and its ok to deal with it but for USD they have agreed to fixed the exchange rate for the contract. So, the dollar rate should be fetched as agreed in the contract in Invoices.We are currently using Sales Contract Functionality with AFP and Project Invoice.Question is “How to get fixed Exchange Rate for Dollar part of the contract where it will reflect the same/fixed rate in invoices and at payments as well.Please share best practice regarding this scenario. Hi Experts,In Request for Quotation window, How to select Suppliers based on Line items?Suppose i have 10 lines in PR and RFQ is raised from PR then how can we select suppliers for few lines (lets say Supplier A is only quoting for first 3 line items).Currently what i have observed is that Suppliers are added for all the line items. Can we segregate suppliers line item wise and record its quotation separately as well. Please respond.Regards

Hi Experts There is a scenario in one of our customers that they make annual agreement with their supplier for purchase of Diesel. Quantity is agreed on for annual requirement but price is not. They ask for deliveries based on their requirement throughout the year and issue POs accordingly. Price will be charged based on current rate of diesel in the country. (Diesel prices change every month based on international market).Was thinking to use ‘supplier agreement – blanket orders’ but price is not fixed so………… How to run this scenario in IFS Applications 10?Regards

Hi All.In Customer Order functionality, whenever we change status (example: Planned to Released), it doesn’t change status immediately. We have to refresh windows multiple times then check background job etc. it changes after sometime. It happens not only in Customer Order window but also in other windows like Delivery etc.Do you guys also face this issue. Please guide what could be the reason behind this.Note: We have faced this issue mostly with Customer Order Functionality, other modules process fast. Regards
