NotifyMe app on mobile phone often fails with "character string buffer too small" error

PSO REST APIs

A customer asks, I would like to know whether its a possibility to use the REST API the PSO web app uses (i.e. https://host/IFSPSOWorkbench/api/ResourceScheduling/UpdateActivity)Because I am unable to see the usage for the swagger mentioned apis. So, is this a possibility?

Is UTF8 supported in UTF8 supported in FSM/PSO

A Customer has a requirement to display '🔒' if PSO Gantt ( in Task tile) for certain condition. We would like to check if UTF8 is allowed and is being supported in FSM/PSO DB to fulfill this requirement.The customer is on Product Version: 6.11.0.5

I have a customer who is getting the below message and their non prod environment is unusable. Would they need to reach out to MS as this is a Microsoft exception? Audit trail of all Key fields

A customer wants to audit function for all key columns in all tables, which they believe will cause performance issues. From the help screen under Audit/Extract in the smart client, it states;"The audit process records information you specify and stores it in a table named metrix_audit that you can access with any program that can access your database. This information is transactional in nature; it includes the person who made the change, the time and date of the change, the type of change, the table and field changed, and so forth.You can create as many audit sets as you need. You must create a set for each FSM table you want to audit.”Even though it says that you can create as many audit sets as you need, can we assure the customer that they will not have performance issues?

Integration Inbound XML (IN_CREATE_OR_UPDATE_PRODUCT) return exception error intermittently

Customer is getting an exception Exception: System.TimeoutException: The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:01:00. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. ---> System.TimeoutException: The HTTP request to 'https://lely-fsm-prd.ifs.cloud/M5Service.svc' has exceeded the allotted timeout of 00:01:00. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. ---> System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() app param INTEGRATION_MESSAGE_EXECUTION_TIMER_INTERVAL is set to 60, would setting this application parameter to longer than an hour resolve this exception? Could restarting INTEGRATION CACHE solve the problem?Could restarting the ODATA IIS app pool solve the problem?Could rebooting the server solve the problem?

Stock ABC anlysis

The baseline Stock ABC Analysis is recommending parts with no value and no usage be classified as “A”. “A” items should be set on the parts used most often and the highest value (based off of the % set).What is used to derive the calculations for the analysis on both the stock record and the part?We need to know what are the calculations based on when that analysis is generated?

What is the process of loading data in batches?

Partner tried to PUSH data into FSM using perform_inbound_integration to integrate large amount of data into IFS FSM. The data is being pushed in batches. Each batch size is 100. It was noticed that It's successfully integrates up to 15 cycles but after that it throws a “500 Internal Server Error” error.Thus, we would like to understand how much load IFS FSM can handle?We tried with different batch sizes and it was noticed that when the batch size increases the cycles number is reduced.Is there a specific solution to handle this process of loading data in batches?

Export to Excel

When running the "Part Usage By Person" and not setting any parameters in the selection screen using the export to excel. it runs for a bit and creates an excel file with this in the cell'<'perform_get_report_pdf_result'>'message_logged'<'/perform_get_report_pdf_result'>' Why would you get this error when you are exporting to excel and not to a .pdf?

a mechanisam to get a db from a iOS mobile device with a 20MB limitation

Consulting Team requesting a mechanisam to get a SQL light database from a mobile device since this is a limitation in the product. Only option available to send a mobile database is through email and it is not possible to retrieve database from an iOS device when Apple mail has a 20MB limit.

Is there a way to automatically get the current version on a a given FSM TESTinstance for a Managed Cloud customer? By automatic I mean, by an http request (eg api) that could be run by a script?

Place Merge Updates

After a place merge in FSM6U9, the place record gets updated with a new modified_dttm and will be sent to the device in 24 hours (currently configured interval for that sync rule) or if someone clicks on sync now.- place_person doesn't get an updated modified_dttm and therefore will not be sent by the sync rule next time it runs in 3 hours or even if someone clicks on Sync Now. Would this be a limitation of the software or a bug?

When trying to login to the FSM Smart Client using SSO, the customer receives a message "Only the owner of a flow can change it." Why would this message appear when using Single Sign On?

Is iOS 14.5 compatible with FSM6u10? The install guide says “Any device that can run iOS 10 through iOS 14 (including iPadOS) is Supported.”

Parameter count mismatch

When a request is created and saved or autoassigned (requireds a save) an error message prevents the save and says there is a mismatch in parameters. Do you think that the issue is that what ever FSM uses to create the pop up is missing\corrupt?F.Y.I. The customer recently moved DB from Azure managed service to Azure VM.

Large number of FSM_AUTHENTICATION_METHODS errors in server log

Our client secret expires on 12/31/2299, so pretty much indefinitely. I would have expected to continue to have errors and issues if the Azure AD setup had expired. Prod has been setup since go live as FSM,OIDC for the App Param FSM_AUTHENTICATION_METHODS.Has any other customers seen these errors?

OIDC Azure AD Documentation

The documentation for OIDC is different in FSM6u8 than FSM6u5there is a reference to a "Add a platform button" not mentioned in FSM6u5 doc.In the FSM6u5 documentation it says in the Redirect URI field, select Public client (mobile & desktop) and enter http://localhost/fsmoidc/.We are not seeing where we can select "Public client".Customer also did a cut/paste and accidentally added the period. Suggest we remove them from the document where it is listed as a URI. ADD THE NATIVE APP REGISTRATION For step 4, we do not see how we can "Add the next" - It appears that it is asking the URI to be http or https . The documentation says to use com.metrix.metrixmobile://fsmoidc Please advise if this step in particular needs to be updated in the documentation? or If the FSM6u8 OIDC doc application is applicable to an FSM6u5 installation?

Lookup for Work Date field

On the Time Search Screen, the calendar lookups for Work Date field are not in the baseline screen, so the customer wanted to add them in UI designer. The option for the calendar lookup is not available. Would this be an enhancement request?

SMTP error - Unable to read data from the transport connection.

I believe there is some limit that is being exceeded (Timeout=100000). Do we know if these emails are being sent asynchronously? Customer is trying to email a large volume of smtp email messages, we get an error, but in smaller groups of emails around 100-125 they are processed without error. Would you know what would be causing this? How does an adjustment_reasn gets entered into the records on part_tranlog?

I know that you can add a new adjustmnt_reasn in Code Tables, but how does an adjustment_reasn get entered into the records on part_tranlog, is it only when a stock count is posted?
