In IFS Application10/ IFSCLOUD you can add your resource demand under ‘Work List’ in the PM Action. Is there a switch or something that will automatically create the work assignment in the generated work order> work task when released? It doesn’t make sense that it doesn’t.
I see the copy rows functionality in three different databases, but when I copy I don’t see the paste to be able to use it. I thought maybe it was a projection not set but I don’t see that in all three db’s. Any ideas?
This pop up always occurs on the eForms I’m working on attached to request management: How do we disable these pop ups and go straight into the survey?
I’m pretty certain I didn’t miss any steps in the set up and the documentation says the equipment objects for the sites the user has access to should just show up but they’re not. I even logged in to the NA Pre-sales demo environment to see if it was working in there and it is not. I know we’ve taken away the old page that let us configure what equipment objects the MWO users saw but is there something I’m missing here. This is a problem and hopefully just something not set up that wasn’t documented.
In apps, IFSAPP could grant supervisor access. In cloud, we don’t even give it to the customer. How do we grant the first HR superuser supervisor access now?
Has anyone seen Resource Groups not showing up when creating additional work in the Service Tech Portal?“The permission sets are completed in Aurena Tech Portal. I was trying to test creating new work and ran into an issue (see below). The Resource Group drop-down doesn’t have anything for me to choose from so I cannot Create New Work. Do you know why there isn’t anything in the drop-down? I would like to move forward with the Workshop – of course it could be something I’m not aware of that should be done.”
@James Ashmore , @Björn Kleist We’re on a big Field Service Job and setting up the mobile service client. Everything seems to be working, but we get this error when logging in and it makes you disconnect to log in the next time. "error":"unauthorized_client","error_description":"Invalid client credentials" . Any ideas. We have to demo this thing Friday!Btw, does the service radio button on the resource group have anything to do with it. We don’t know what that does.
We’re trying to figure out how to manually push GPS coordinates into a location to be able to pick them up by map position and transfer it to the mobile client without an equipment object or customer in order for a pipeline company to be able to fine locates.
I’ve set up an ESM service quotation and I can figure out for the life of me how to show line items on it. I want to be able to show them all for one that charge for each line with a markup as well as one that is fixed price but only shows the lines of what they get without pricing. I’m sure the system does it, but it’s kicking my backside. :😖Thanks!
I've recorded and edited an one on one session with permission from Lamont May who recently started with IFS and will be doing EAM training. If you follow this session, you should be able to set up EAM for a US company. It begins with thirty minutes of set up on the site, users, resources, and parts, then it goes into setting up equipment structure and objects for fifteen minutes (including technical characteristics which isn't really introductory training but is frequently asked about but ignored), then closes with setting up task templates and a generic PM Program for a piece of equipment.I did notice I grabbed the wrong calendar on the site set up that needs generated in the database I was training from, so I suggest using the calendar labeled "5" which at this time comes out generated when delivered in RACE.I guarantee you will learn more watching and trying to follow along with this video for just over an hour than you can learn anywhere else on how to get started in EAM in IFS Cl
I missed being in front of the customer from Apps10 update 3 to present and I got on a call with a customer wanting to look into using the tech portals. I used to be able to Grant all from the top of the projections page, but theirs wasn’t enabled. I also see that when you enable some of the projections, the subordinate projects don’t all automatically turn on. Is there a trick to this now that I missed?Thanks,Jb
I have a customer asking if and how we can combine ESM service orders on one customer order post invoice preview change? I’m sure there’s a simple way and we didn’t lose that ability but I can’t figure it out.
Does anyone have some decent work procedures from soup to nuts written up for the set up, processes, and sub-processes for the new next generation service management?
I’m having a few issues trying to use service quotations for ESM Service in Cloud 22R1. 1) I can’t get it to preview or print to see what it’s going to look like or even be able to get it to the customer. I’m not sure if it’s because of the second issue...2) I keep getting an error saying it’s “Unable to find Sales Part” whatever that means??Print Issue - Preview or Print just makes it spin and nothing show up in the Print Manager that can be reran. I try and it say it doesn’t exist. The second is an error I get trying to take the quotation status to “Released” . As you can see in the third screenshot, the sales parts are all there and there’s nothing I can tell that’s wrong with them. I’ve removed each line and tried releasing but keep getting the same error.
I don’t know if I don’t understand the process or there’s a bug, but when I set up SFM for a simple function such as exhaust in the example of this procedure with two causes for the same component, it acts really weird:It duplicated one of the causes when there are two different ones set up. (I even redid them from scratch to make sure I didn’t mess up) When you select a template that has two causes for one component, it highlights both, but only brings in the one template that applies to both. Where do the values such as Function, Type, Cause, and Component end up on the work order/Work Task? These are valuable KPIs.Attached is the write up for a customer I’m working on. They really want to use SFM.@Mayura Wasantha - I know you’re crazy busy, but who can help me with this?
Attached is a procedure for creating PM Programs using task templates. One thing that tripped me up was having to do a revision on the generated PM Actions if it was necessary to update the Start Value. Other than that and not trying to add Grouped & Merged into the mix, PM Programs function pretty well. I suggest not trying to use the PM Replacement functionality on a PM Program, but let the system generate multiple work tasks when they align.Please let me know if this is helpful as well as if you see any errors or omissions or anything I need to clarify.
Since we start with clean databases for training now, it would save scores of hours of hand jamming for basic data which is mostly the same on every project as well as being able to move data from a customer's TEST to PROD. Maybe a easy export/import tool? How about find and replace? Is that on the way?
