Mitigating - jQuery Vulnerability: CVE-2012-6708

We are running Apps 9 UD17 IFS TAS 1.14.1.74 and only supporting Windows Mobile delviered from SCCM.We are receiving the following cyberscan vulnerability. - jQuery Vulnerability: CVE-2012-6708 Has anyone encountered this issue and how did you mitigate? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

mWorkOrder 3.9 lags writing back to IEE after Oracle 19c upgrade

mWorkOrder 3.9 lags push data back to IEE after Oracle 19c upgrade from Oracle 12c.We are experiencing more lags in data writing back to IEE from mWorkOrder 3.9.We are using APPS9 UD17 and prior to the Oracle upgrade didn’t have this consistent lag. Our biggest obstacle is when a survey answer includes a photo and the photo often gets stuck and we end up with errors or no pictures. During the Oracle upgrade permissions were changed remvoing sys and system access from appowner. I was under the impression the mobile app uses IFSSYS for all mobile transactions, however maybe this isn’t the case. We were planning on deploying mworkorder 3.14, however am afraid I may introduce yet other issues moving to the newer mworkorder version prior to resolving the issues at hand. Where can I begin looking to determine where this lag may be occurring?Is there a set of permission standards deployed with APPS9 noting which IFS, SYS, SYSTEM, APPOWNER accounts should have which accessAny particular log f

New On-Premise TAS Server for APPS9, does it require it own private key?

I have an existing on premise TAS for APPS 9 as a Windows 2012 server.I have installed a new on-premise TAS for APPS server under windows 2019.I created a new sql db for APPS9 for the new TAS so I could preserve the existing TAS.I exported out the private cert from the existing TAS (2012 server) to the new 2019 TAS server.The new TAS server install on 2019 server was successful, however when I go to the new TAS server URL as part of logging in on mobile, I do not establish a connection.I can go to the new URL from my laptop, but not the mobile application.Does the new TAS server require a new Private key or can I use the existing private key from the old server. Best practice deploying mworkorder via sccm (APPS9)

During a reconfiguration I received an error invalid password on the document repository for APPS9 - where to look to fix?.

During a recent move of the MWS to a new server I encountered an error.Invalid password on the document repository for APPS9 UD17.D:\ifs\extsvr\<instance>\repository\ifsdoc\install.xml:1098: INVALID_CREDENTIALS: Invalid username or passwordWhere do I go to look or which account is associated with the Document Repository?I am also having issues keeping the IFS Connect services running, Any suggestions to fix is truly appreciated.

Survey Receiver Definition Object already exists when copying surveys

Recently we encountered an issue when either creating new or copying an existing survey.Upon saving the new survey we get the following error.Survey Receiver Definition Object already exists when copying surveys.This occurs for all users, including the IFSAPP.This is only occurring in production. we have tried creating a new survey and everything else works until we go to add a participant and no matter which user we try and add we get the same error.Our work around is to add participants to the survey through the backend. Any suggestions as to how we can fix this or where we should look to find root cause. we are encountering the following error in APPS9 UD17 in the database log ORA-03135: connection lost contactBEGIN NULL; END; we just completed an Oracle 12c export to Oracle 19c import to upgrade our database. Is this a true error and how can we identify what’s causing such? Thank you

User IFSMOBILITY has not been granted access to activity UplinkServices

APPS9 UD14 IFSAPP account keeps locking after initial login

Good day. We are running APPS9 and encounter issues with the ifsapp locking.This occurs in 2 or our production environments.I have changed the password both through the login screen as well as through the db by altering username and setting a new password. Is there a log file which may show me if another user is trying to login using the account which may be why its locking.OrIs there a way to determine if there is a running process requiring username & password of the ifsapp account to run. We are not using SSOIf you have other suggestions of where to look, I would be truly appreciative. Thank you

APPS9 UD17 D:\ifs_home\bin\repository\server\install_fndmws.xml:1413: IOException in D:\ifs\extsvr\ESNGDEV\bin\mws_patch.cmd - java.io.FileNotFoundException:D:\ifs\extsvr\ESNGDEV\bin\mws_patch.cmd (Access is denied)

In applying the latest UD17 update I received this error during reconfiguration.The file is not located in the bin folder as noted below.D:\ifs\extsvr\ESNGDEV\repository\server\install_fndmws.xml:1413: IOException in D:\ifs\extsvr\ESNGDEV\bin\mws_patch.cmd - java.io.FileNotFoundException:D:\ifs\extsvr\ESNGDEV\bin\mws_patch.cmd (Access is denied) Also in review of the Oracle inventory I do not see any OracleHome references that I saw prior to the update. How do you update the current maintenance plan in the existing PM Actions

I have extended the calendar for another 10 years, however I don’t recall how to update the current maintenance plan in the existing PM Actions. Do I need to generate a new calendar or can I use the existing one? How far out can you set this calendar, 5, 10 or as much as 20 years? Thank you for your assistance.

Auto generating child order once parent is created

I am wondering if anyone has created a process where once a parent work order is created and say assigned, it triggers the generation of all subsequent child and grandchild work orders?This would be for both same/or different worktypes with the same/different maintenance organizations. Disabling TLS 1.0, 1.1 SSL2, SSL3 in APPS9 - TAS connection errors

On our Middleware I removed TLS1.1 from the protocol, leaving TLS 1.2 set. When we disabled SSL2, SSL3, TLS 1.0 and TLS1.1 I get errors on our on-premise mobile user connections. Are there additional TAS settings that may be needed to remove old protocols? I appreciate your assistance. Thank youMarjie

APPS9 UD17 fails update when SSL is checked

Ok I have been working with this UD17 since June and here is what I am experiencing.I have a 3rd party wildcard SSL that supports TLS1.1 & TLS1.2I have verified the certificate is not expired.When I apply the UD17 to our current UD14 environment and uncheck SSL - the update applies fine.When I check SSL and use either a self-signed cert or apply our wildcard cert, I get an error. SSL Session Cache None settings in APPS9 applying UD17

I am having errors noting the SSL Session Cache is set to NONE when applying UD17 to APPS9.btw - http server will not start. APPS9 UD17 failed updating AS, MWS directory missing

Good day. I have been trying to apply update 17 to our APPS9 UD14 instances (I have tried 4 different instances) and he end result is the same.Failed to update AS & the MWS directory never recreates. Db space seems fineApplication server has 40G free on C: and 65G on D where ifshome resides. The application runs fine prior to the update.I run reconfiguration prior to the updateThe database updates with no errors.This appears as a Middleware issue. Any clue as to why AS will not startup? Prior to executing the update install the following services are stoppedIFSConnectIFS SolrManagedServer1 AdminServer is left running I appreciate any insight. Thank you,Marjie

Use of eforms and mWO

We use eforms as part of surveys to capture data from field techs in the field.Recently we began seeing delays in mobile syncing and I am wondering if there are limitations to the use of eforms on mobile.We use multiple pools and can have up 4000 work orders in various pools along with objects syncing to the mobile devices.We use a Windows Surface Pro 8G RAM Windows10 mobile device. I tried to find how the TAS on Prem works with the MWS and DB and cannot find any specifics as to properly tuning or sizing recommendations.We are on APPS9 UD14, mwo 2.8.0.215 I appreciate your feedback.Thank you

Lobby features from Updates, how to apply

Good day. How do you apply past updates to incorporate new lobby features and ensure you don’t overwrite existing ones? How do you know the new lobby features that are in a Release? I am using APPS9 UD14, and see others mentioning Mobile monitoring as a new lobby feature released with UD12.I went from UD10 to UD14. I have just received UD17.Should I just move forward with UD17 and enable lobby elements or apply UD14 and allow lobby elements to be included?Much appreciate your insight.Thank you

Mobile_Cleanup_Sys.Clean_Faulty_Sync_Tasks__ is executing and not completing

Good day. recently the Mobile_Cleanup_Sys.Clean_Faulty_Sync_Tasks__ is never completing and just keeps executing. We try and kill the job, but it wont stop.I tried setting the error fag on the front end (IEE) and it wont allow me to set this job as an error or stop the job.We tried placing this in its own batch queue to keep it from jamming up the queue and adding more processes to its queue and it just kicked off more of these jobs that will not complete. We are running APPS9 UD14 and mWO. Where to look to diagnose and resolve this issue and how can you kill a process that wont die?

Use of pictures in reporting

We use Tableau for IFS reporting and are looking to leverage the use of photos taken in the field to records and display damages to property.We want to setup a repository to store these pictures and I see during configurations of IFS you can change the document file directory. Is it possible to point this file directory to a network resource? if so, can photos taken and uploaded from the mobile eform be saved in the same document file directory?Anyone have experience setting this up?We are using APPS9 UD14 with mobile work orders and eforms.Thank you

Oracle 12c, APPS9 & Memory Management (AMM Or Not)

We are running APPS9 with Oracle 12c standard edition.about & months ago we moved away from Auto memory Management and set max values for memory on our Oracle Environment.We have 128 G set aside for our VM oracle Db with 3 prod instances, each of which are allocated 28G each.I’ve been seeing 1 of the instances use up to 27G while the others bounce between 20-24G.What are the advantages, disadvantages of using Oracle AMM and why would you want to limit RAM to an oracle instance when not using AMM? APPS9 Performance Tuning

Is there documentation on APPS9 performance tuning?Specifically when it comes to optimizing database tasks & db tuning?Any documents on best practices?Our IFS env are VMs running Windows 2012 server R2. We are running Oracle 12.1 with 3 prod db instances on the same server. We are considering an oracle upgrade to 19, but first I need to apply IFS UD17, although UD16 is only required,I felt I may as well update to the latest version. Anyone have any bad experiences with UD17? I had several issues with UD14 applying and ended up with a fresh build from IFS.With the recent lag in performance, I have reservations regarding applying updates.Much appreciate the feedback.

APPS9 mwo filtering "Assigned to Me"

I am setting up multiple mobile filters to minimize the amount of data transferred to a mobile device.We use Priorities to separate out pools of work orders so having 4000 orders on a device can take time to initialize.So my current filter does the followingSend all WO to my mobile if they meet the following criteria:Belongs to Site ‘D100’, is Assigned to ‘Me’ or is a priority ‘N’ (My teams priority)I can get the D100 & Priority ‘N’ to work, but cannot seem to get Assigned to me to work.
