Our Finance team have asked whether its possilbe on the Supplier Electronic Payment Addresses screen, to restrict editing of bank details (i.e. account number and and branch number (BSB)) to only be possible when Blocked for Use is checked?Currently, it appears the bank account details can be changed at any time.I was unable to locate any information in the very limited documentation for this screen.I know we can likely do it as a Custom Event Action but first want to see if there is an existing configuration which can achieve this.
We have just updated from Apps 10 Update 9 to Update 15, and now get the following error when searching in the Resource Monitoring Gantt.You can search okay the first time, however if you then perform a subsequent search and change the search criteria, this error appears. We are on Apps 10, and just updated from Update 9 to Update 15.Within Enterprise Explorer when right-clicking on a Work Assignment and setting the Status to Work Started, this Clock In popup now appears (and for Work Done). It did not previously.We do not use clockings, in favour of manual Time Reports.How can we turn the Clocking dialog off for Work Assignment status changes within IFS EE?
How can we get a User account creation date out of IFS?It’s not available on either the FND_USER or ORACLE_ACCOUNT views.I can see there are OBJID and OBJVERSION columns on the FND_USER view, but that only records the newest version.What is the table or view to query to get the original account creation date?

Hi, we want to be able to track changes to the Planned/Allocated Start date fields (old val/new val, and when it was changed) on Work Assignments and Work Tasks, in the Work Order Journal.Currently the Journal tracks various other changes with old/new values, but not Planned Start and Allocated Start.How can we achieve this?
Hi, I am creating a Lobby for the ICT team and want to show IFS Licence availability on it.I can get this for Full User licenses no worries (in fact theres a premade Lobby Element for it), but for LTU and CTU I can only get find current usage, not availability (how many are free) or the Total (from which I could subtract the usage to give me the availabilty.Is there a view or table to query this data from for LTU licences etc.?
Hi, is there a working POC or example of how to get Postman working to query the REST API endpoints with OAUTH 2 authentication?It looks like Postman doesnt support the response_type oauth parameter that IFS seems to expect.When doing an OAUTH token request, it comes back as “not supported”.I’ve seen a few others with this issue but no answers.The entire documentation system for the IFS REST API’s is very difficult to navigate and extremely bare on examples and pre-requisites. Seems to assume a lot of pre-req knowledge.
I am trying to delete a User that I’ve created, but am getting this error:The Fnd User “user.name” is used by 1 rows in another object (User Finance).I also get the following error when trying to remove the User from the Company:The User Finance “user.name” is used by 1 rows in another object (Purchase Authorizer).The Company is the only thing I can see left assigned to the User (which as above, it won’t let me remove):Running a database query against the USER_FINANCE view returns a result also: Other things I’ve triedI have deleted their Purchase Authorizer Substitute record Verified not in Purchase Authorization Basic Data screen Verified not in Invoice Posting Authorizers screenIs there other screens I need to check and delete the user from?
We have a third party application which raises Fault Reports in IFS (Apps 10 Update 9) via a SOAP API call.Intermittently, we get server time out errors, causing the API request to fail. Hi, I’d like to read and access data in IFS via the oData REST API endpoints using Power BI.We are using Windows Authentication, however whenever trying to authenticate to the API endpoint in the PowerBI oData Setup Wizard, it fails to connect using Basic auth (using Oracle User details/credentials, including IFSAPP), and is unable to using Organisation authentication (i.e. O365/Azure Single Sign On).Is there any special additional config required to allow PowerBI to query IFS data via oData?
Hi, we are investigating the use of the Permit module in Apps 10 to manage some of our permit/application processes.Does the Permits module have the ability to create authorisation approval and routing rules, similar to Purchase Requisitions?e.g. we would want anyone to be able to apply for a permit, but only certain groups of users to be allowed to review and approve permits.Some permits will have a different list of users it must escalate through e.g. based on Permit Type (e.g. an IT-related permit would need to go through the IT manager/CTO etc., whereas digging permits would need to go through engineers, maintenance managers and supervisors etc.).
Hi, we have a Custom Logical Unit in our Apps 10 U9 environment and would like to be able to insert data into it from another application via a REST API call.Is it possible to do this and expose a CLU via the REST API?Our CLU is a “staging” table where once data is imported into it (currently via migration job from a flat file), additional processing is done (again via migration jobs).I’d like to get rid of the flat file and data import migration jobs and just insert the data directly into the CLU via API call.If it is, can someone point me in the direction of where to find the documentation on how to do this, if it exists?
Hi, is it possible to restrict access to Active and Historical Work Orders in IFS, to a specified group of users based on Maintenance Org?For example, we are considering use of WOs in an area where the WOs may contain sensitive information that may not be appropriate for other regular WO/maintenance users.

We’re planning to expose Aurena to the web and will be routing it via our reverse proxy as per official documentation, however is there a way to host the Aurena web client/component in our DMZ? Current set up is: Client > reverse proxy > Aurena/MWS > DB Preferred set up is: Client > reverse proxy > Aurena DMZ > MWS > DB That way if Aurena was compromised, only Aurena itself is, rather than our whole middleware/application layer.
We have a scenario where we’d like to consider sending a calendar invite to staff who receive a work assignment on a work task, which can be updated when the work assignment time changes (it will, frequently).Has anyone done this and if so how?I was thinking of using a combination of event actions which fires On Transfer To Mobile, which then calls the Microsoft Graph API to send a calendar invite to the assignee’s email address. When the assignment changes though it’ll need to send an update to the calendar appointment. I am pretty sure it’s achievable however obviously a bit of setup and was wondering whether anyone had come across anything out of the box that can do this or has just had experience doing something similar?
Hi, what is the standard method for on-premise IFS customers to ensure their Oracle databases and Java components like WebLogic are patched?Are these patches included in Update deliveries, or are they installed separately? Who normally is responsible for ensuring Java and Oracle for the IFS environment are patched? IFS (via Deliveries), or the IFS Customer? If it’s the IFS customer, can the customer DBA just install the latest Oracle and Java patches on-demand, or do they need to be verified to be compatible with IFS first? i.e. will installing the latest patches break the IFS environment?
How have others, or what is the best practice for protecting IFS Enterprise Explorer with Multi-Factor Authentication when exposed to the web via reverse proxy?Aurena is very straight forward, as you can just configure a Conditional Access policy for it to enforce MFA and target the Aurena apps.When configured as per the documentation we were given when setting up Apps 10 for O365 authentication, the Enterprise Explorer app doesn’t come up in the list of apps meaning there’s no obvious way to enable MFA for enterprise explorer, thus exposing IFS to the public internet with no MFA.One option looks like Azure App Proxy but interested to see how/what others use.
Hi, does IFS (Apps 10) have native functionality to lock records for editing, or if not, are there plans to implement such a feature?In particular with Work Orders, our Planners are asking whether its possible for a Work Order to be “locked” while they’re in there so others can’t make changes.We are aware this is the intention of the “Under Preparation” status indication on WO’s, but they’re asking whether it can be an automatic lock/unlock instead.
Hi, we have a Work Task Template with Revision Control enabled on it.On the Active revision, IFS correctly restricts the ability to add new lines into Work Task Steps etc., however it allows Work Task Steps to be deleted on the current Active revision.Shouldn’t revision control prevent Work Task Steps from being deleted from an active revision Work Task Template, or is this normal and why?Running Apps 10 Update 6.

I’m trying to extract Employee information from IFS Apps 10 (Update 6) via SOAP API (specifically employee: identity, job title, department, and manager) which I then plan to ingest into one of our other systems. I’m unable to get the data out of IFS though - it just returns a response with exactly the data I passed to it. The IFS Interface Browser documentation suggest the EmployeeInteraction.sendEmployee action is a 2-way soap action. I’ve confirmed the account I’m using has access to the area and data. See below example of my SOAP UI project. What am I missing to obtain the specified employee’s details? SOAP UI projectRaw request data for the above pictured API call.If there’s a better way to do this in the REST API (unable to find much documentation on that) then that’d be even better but I’d also be happy just getting this working for now.
