Adding Part Specific Overhead Cost

Does anyone have any experience of applying a material overhead cost per batch for Shop Order/Part costs?We want to apply the cost of using an adhesive to stick components together, for different parent parts have a different adhesive and hence cost.I’ve tried using Part Specific Overheads but although I can create the cost element, I can’t get IFS to recognise it on the drop down when I try adding it.There be something basic I am doing wrong - any ideas?

Why does MRP Safety Stock Replenishment run late?

Can someone explain to me why MRP is delaying the ordering of a part that has fallen below safety stock?The example below has a safety stock of 130 and NO inventory at time of running MRP (with the Plan Safety Stock checkbox enabled)The resulting purchase requisition has a wanted date in the future that gives a latest order date beyond the MRP run date - Why?I would have expected the requisition wanted to be ASAP i.e. Today plus order lead time

Operational Report development question

Apps 7.5 had a cool enhancement to Operational Reporting called ‘iPrinting’ which was a UK customisation. It allowed additional data to be pulled into a report layout which could then be used by Report Designer. This feature appeared to disappear by the time Apps 9 came along and I wondered whether anyone has come across this? Custom Fields offer some assistance but what they do not provide is ‘sub queries’ of data. e.g. Customer Invoices lines report the Lot/Batch Number of the invoice qty but I want to then show a break down of that quantity across the batches. This would require a sub-query of the inventory transaction history or something to show the separate lot ref and qty. I used to be able to do this using iPrinting but I can’t see way to do it with custom fields. Anyone got any ideas?

PL/SQL for Re-printing from the Archive

I have a requirement to re-print a file generated by the PDF_CREATED event.I have all this lovely data to hand:PRINTER_ID - <Original Printer>PRINT_JOB_ID - 9999999REPORT_ID - CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REPREPORT_PARAMETERS - Blah BlahREPORT_TITLE - InvoiceREPORT_TITLE_TRANS - BlahREPORT_VARIABLES - Blah Blah^RESULT_KEY - 88888888STATUS - REMOTE WORKINGLANGUAGE_CODE - blahLAYOUT_NAME - Blah Blah.rdl What I want to do is post the job back into the print manager queue using the relevant API calls and change the printer_id so that I can re-direct a copy to a 2nd Printer. Anyone have an idea of the IFS PL/SQL API’s required to do this? TIA

APPS9 Lobby Element to Company filtered screen

I’ve got a counter lobby element that I want to launch tbwOverviewCustomerAgreement from.The screen launches fine but it’s got a company filter on it and this is not passed to the screen from the lobby element. I can’t figure out how to pass the COMPANY from the data source.Anyone got any ideas?

ZUGFeRD PDF/A Format Invoices

Has anyone had any experience with ZUGFeRD format Invoices?My understanding is that they are essentially PDF/A format documents but I am trying to find out whether IFS Operational Reporting can support them directly.

Using Report Rules to Multiplex Reports?

Has anyone ever use report rules to send output to multiple printers from one print job?(Is this even possible?)I’ve got a set of report rules to save Invoices as a PDF using IFS Connect but I also want to send a hard copy to specific printers depending upon certain data fields on the invoice.There is a logical printer, ARCHIVER, that the user selects and then I have two rules, executed in the following order:If Logical Printer is ARCHIVER and certain Site code - Print To Logical Printer HARD_COPY If Logical Printer is ARCHIVER then Route to ConnectI can see both rules firing in the Print Rule Log,Rule #1 sees an entry in the print agent log file but nothing is outputRule #2 sees a file created via IFS Connect. Any ideas?

Can you Insert PDF when 'Printing' to IFS Connect?

We have APPS 9 and we’re using Report Rules to route report output to a file store rather than a printer.So we have a rule that, instead of sending to a printer uses IFS Connect to copy the file.E.g. My question is, is there any way of using the PDF Inserts facility to include a PDF of our T’s & C’s on the end of each file we create us?

Custom Event - On Line SQL - Can I take the red AND the blue pill?

I’m trying to check the override Ship Via Code on Customer Order lines.Because Ship Via is hidden away on a RMB you can’t check it when the order line is added so I am forced to check all lines in one go when the order is released.So I’ve created an Event on CUSTOMER_ORDER_TAB and an associated custom event action.What I am trying to do is Check all of the Order lines on the order have valid ship to codes. Can't update Boolean Custom Field

I’m adding a Yes/No custom field to a custom table to show whether or not a row is active.I’m using the default FndYesNo enumerationSo far so normal However, the field, when displayed on a custom table page is not editable.If I view it on a custom form page it is What am I missing?

SFTP Reader set-up isn't working - what have I done wrong/how do I debug?

I wonder whether any of you kind people could help me out? I have an SFTP Sender already configured and working 😀Now I want to set-up a Reader using the same SFTP credentials.So I copied the SFTP_READER1 template config and replaced all of my site specific code with the config from my Sender credentials.Here’s a screenshot of my config.I’ve tested connection using WinSCP on the extended server so I know that the SFTP credentials/directory etc are valid and I have access rights to read/write.BUT IFSCONNECT just sits there looking at me even though there are files to upload.No logging of any activity either.I’ve even tried setting the login credentials incorrectly just so that I can see a login failure but nothing , Nada, ZIP! Any idea on how to get logging working to figure out what is happening?

APPS9 - Consolidated Accounts - problem transferring balances to Parent

Has anyone had experience of setting up/using the ‘old’ Account Consolidation module?‘Consolidated Accounts’We’re in the process of configuring it and getting issues when attempting to transfer the Subsidiary Company Balances across to the Parent Company. I.e. there is no RMB to do it!I can’t see anything in the on-line documentation but I wonder whether there is a ‘gotcha’ on the set-up?

Part Cost Bucket History

Does anyone know what PART_COST_BUCKET_HISTORY_TAB is good for?I am considering clearing down part cost history with the ‘Keep History on Part Level’ ticked (so that bucket history is cleared) but I can’t find any reference to bucket history in the system.Can you view it anywhere?

Scheduled Database Task Chains - Including Data Migration?

I’m trying to run a task chain that includes Data Migration steps.The problem I am having is that the only way I can see to run a DataMig step is using INTFACE_HEADER_API.START_BATCH_ method which is fine except the Task chain doesn’t wait for the resulting job to finish before it starts the next step!Has anyone had this issue and resolved it?

Passing IFS GL codes in External Supplier eInvoices?

Has anyone had experience of receiving eInvoices via XML with IFS GL code string elements in?We are trying to modify our XSLT transformer for FINVOICE to EINVOICE so that we can pick up GL codes and post them in the resulting e-invoice posting line details.Seems like there is some basic conversion

External Invoices - different DocMan Class for Supplier/Customer Invoices?

We’re running APPS 9Is it possible to create a different document class when loading Supplier Invoices vs. Customer Invoices using External Invoices?We’re setting up an external integration to load supplier invoices and the documentation suggests you can only have one DocMan class for Invoices regardless of whether they are Customer Or Supplier Invoices. We want to segregate our invoices between the two ledgers as security and roles and responsibilities are split.

Calling an API in DataMig to schedule background job
