HiWe are trying to scrap some design objects in IFS Apps 8 but keep getting an error saying “Function returned without value”, can anyone advise what we are missing? Does this mean there is a field that requires data that is missing? HiWe keep getting a failed application message to HMRC on one of our Supplier Verification Proposals, and now the proposal is sat in a Processing state that we cannot do anything with.The message sent successfully on another supplier in Feb and the addresses are exactly the same but we now get the following error:1:javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received close_notify during handshake Is anyone else experiencing issues with this address?Many thanksHayley
HiI am trying to make some amendments to our existing Teams in Service and Maintenance but I am getting the below error. I can create a new Team but cannot update any existing ones.Just wanted to see if anyone may know why this is before I raise a support case with IFS, this is the same in our test environments too.ThanksHayley
HiI have a query around Condition based PM’s in Apps 8. We have a number of PM’s set up for run time hours on engines, with an interval of 250 hours connected to a test point with an accumulative parameter. This is working fine and producing work orders every 250 hours, however, what we would like to occur is a work order to be generated with a planned value of +250 from the last recorded reading, for example if the last recorded reading was 12513 the next work order planned value would be 12763. Whereas at the moment it creates a work order +250 from the planned value of the previous work order.Is this possible to achieve in Apps 8? Below is the condition set up we have:
HiWe are using incoming customer orders for charges from an external software, but was wondering if anyone knows how to handle incoming credit notes. We have tried sending a negative order but get the following error - Error Message: ORA-20110: CustomerOrderLine.PRICE_LESS_THAN_ZERO: Price must be greater than zero!Thanks in advance.Hayley
HiHopefully someone can point me in the right direction. 2 of my colleagues have somehow minimized their view on sub-contracts lines and we cannot seem to able to revert it back. Below is a screen shot of their view and I have marked with a red arrow where they are trying to expand, but when they hover in between the sections they do not get the option to drag back down.Has anyone come across this before and is there a way to resolve it without having to reset their profiles?
Hi We have having real issues with Customer Orders for a new customer not getting picked up on the Batch Create Collective Customer Invoice, we have copied the customer set up to match identically to our other customer where it does work. Does anyone know of some ‘hidden’ area or part of the set up that we could potentially be missing?ThanksHayley
HiBit of a strange one for you all. Our procurement team are able to create change orders in one of our companies and amend descriptions on the lines etc, but cannot do it in our other company, they get an error saying it needs to be in planned status, so they change it to planned and then get an error saying Description cannot be changed when status is not Released or Confirmed, yet it works fine in the other company. I have checked the base data but cannot find anything relating to change orders, and I don’t think its permission related if they can do it in the other company.Does anyone have any ideas?ThanksHayley
Afternoon everyone, One of our users has a number of approvals connected to sub-contract valuations but when he clicks on object information to view, it takes him to a blank screen. I think this is because the particular valuation has been cancelled, but the approval is remaining in his list. Does anyone know how we can get rid of these? Will this require removing them from the tables or a data repair release from IFS?When we RMB on the highlighted line, the only option available is Object Info...When we select Object Info the screen is completely blank, so I cannot delete the approval lines from there.ThanksHayley

We are trying to transfer purchase transactions but getting this error message - ‘User group XXX is not connected to voucher type with function group 0 for accounting year 2021 in Company XX’, but I can’t find where to this.ThanksHayley
Hi everyone, I am struggling to a little with document text and wondered if anyone can help. What I am trying to do is set a document text on specific non-inventory sales part so that any customer orders / invoices that are created using that sales part the document text is pulled through, but when I run a new customer order it doesn’t seem to pull the document text through.Can anyone point me in the right direction?Thanks in advance.Hayley
Hi all, We have a purchase req that was raised off a project and authorised, however the req is no longer required so we have got it back to planned status but when we go to the project to cancel the supply request the req is not showing in the demand tab. It is showing in the Supply and Connections but I cannot cancel the request. Subesquently the project activity has now been cancelled so I can no longer push the req through to order with a zero balance. Can anyone advise on how I can get rid of this purchase requisition?
HiWe are trying to get the ‘Start a New Enterprise Explorer’ option (see screen shot) to be set as default in the options area, however due to our Citrix environment this option gets lost each time we log out of Citrix. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue and how you overcame it.
Afternoon,I am pretty sure the answer is No, but does anyone know if its possible to connect the Causes in Service and Maintenance to Object Categories in Apps 8? What we are trying to achieve is if an Object is of a certain category, then when we come to report on a work order what the cause of the fault was, that the LOV only displays causes which relate to that object category type.I cannot see anything obvious to link them, but thought I would ask to see if anyone has been able to achieve this.Kind regards,Hayley
Afternoon,We currently use Service & Maintenance along side the mWO App in Apps 8 and would like to know if anyone has found a way of putting a work order on hold via IFS and not through the App. There is the option on the mWO App to put a work order on hold which feeds back to IFS (as per the below screen shot), but there is no way that I can see where you can do this without using the App (not all of our engineers use the app).I know you can put the operations part of the work order on hold, but not all our work orders contain operations so this is not ideal.Thanks in advance,Hayley

Also for the Part or Material requisitions, anyone that has set this up, have you found that by pushing all inventory parts to the phone has affected the performance of the app?Thanks in advance,Hayley
Afternoon, We have added a custom tick box field on Active Work Order, but when a work order is set to Finished all the information on Active Work Order is removed and recreated in Historical, therefore there is no data for the custom field to refer back to on the Active Work Order as it no longer exists. I was wondering if anyone has overcome this in Apps8? Many thanksHayley
HiHas anyone come across an issue with LU’s losing their connection to Base Tables in Apps 8? I have just amended an existing published custom field, but when I went to re-publish I got an error saying the LU isn’t connected to a Base Table. When I check the Logical Unit it is no longer connected but it is was before and still is in our other test database.Any information would be greatly appreciated.Hayley
HiI have created 3 new custom numeric fields, 2 will be manual entries and the 3rd I would like to add the numbers from the first 2 fields. Is this possible in Apps 8?If so does this need to be done via a custom event? Would be much appreciated if it is possible for some to send a screen shot of how. Below is a screen shot of the fields I am referring to, and the one circled is the field I want the calculation to appear.
We use the object connections quite heavily in Apps 8, especially on Project Navigator, and I was wondering if anyone has been able to add an additional column to these, particularly the Risks object connection. I am looking to include the status column which can be found if you RMB to the Risk Analysis Navigator, however the object connection screens do not give the option to create a custom field. Does anyone know of another way this can be done? TIA
