Hi,I would like to share a piece of information on a term which you may have heard of more than once in the world of business software. It is none other than "license".In software industry, a software license can be defined as an agreement that gives an individual, a company or an organization permission to use a software application. The same applies to IFS. A license is required in order to use IFS Applications. When you are dealing with customers, it is highly probable that you have encountered several types of licensing. Let me give a brief idea on types of licensing in IFS applications. There there are 4 types of licenses.1. Full User2. Limited Task User (LTU)3. Additional Task User (ATU)4. Recently we came across a situation where customers have noted a significant performance behaviours based on how a BA report is run. If a report is scheduled, it happens to run within an acceptable time frame, but on the contrary it becomes laggard if it is ordered from Order Report functionality. Besides the problem is not pertinent to BA reports but for other application flows as well. We observed this trend among managed services customers. Problem When the client call is sent from application, it goes to the middleware server and then to the database. Then the response is returned from the database, to the middleware server, but there is a loss in the communication of middleware server call to client. Due to that reason, we initiate a further investigation for network configuration why the r

Scenario IFS Consultants could introduce new lobby items xmls during their developments. When such delivery is installed, it is noticed that there has been an import of lobbies from mws repository. Due to the lobby content in the delivery, items related to lobby data sources, elements and pages would get checked by default (unless the selection is changed manually) in the installer during the step of Database import and deploy. If the "Import Lobby Items" checkboxes are ticked, all Lobby items in the
