Some users are reporting 2 issues with column chooser on the work tasks screen.1. They add columns using column chooser to the Work Tasks screen and save the changes by logging of of IFS correctly with the Exit button to ensure they are saved correctly. They may seem fine for a period of time, and then one day when they login (days or even weeks later), they have disappeared and have to be manually added back again. The other issue with this is when they go to add the columns back again, some of them no longer show up in the Hidden columns list on the left. In the latest example, someone wanted to add the Task Card ID/Subtask ID column back, but is not in the list. If they start typing the name of it into the Filter box at the top of the Hidden Cols list, it becomes visible.Most of the complaints like this are for the Work Tasks screen, so what is going on here? We have a couple of users where this has happened multiple times.The only other information that maybe relevant is most of o
IFS APPS 10Someone has created a saved search on the Purchase Order Lines screen, and it works for them. They have tried to send it to one of their colleagues, using the Send option in the search screen, but they get this error message. I have tested sending the same saved search with that user logged in on the test system and it worked. The only thing I can think of is that the list of parts in the Part No. field is very long - is there a length limit for search fields when sending searches? In my test, I only tried it with about 3 or 4 part no.s in my search.
Feb 9th 2024, 10.30 am. I can still login to Service Center, but this morning, once I have done that, if I select All Cases from the drop down, I just get an empty screen with a red information message across the top of the screen. Also if I try to report an issue, I end up on that same screen. Have tried clearing browser cache and logging in again, but no luck. How do I request that someone checks the access for my Portal account? It was fine yesterday. What I see. If I go to Cases - All Cases, just get the same empty screen again.Thanks

Hi, I already have access to the IFS Community with my work email address and a user name. I am now trying to register for the service centre for support purposes as well. If I try and register for that, it says that I already have an email address registered for that, but if I try and login to the service centre with my email address registered for the community, it says that email account is not a valid one. I cannot find any option for people like me already registered on the community site to additionally register for the service centre / customer support and FTP with my same work email address .
I have noticed, when trying solve a users acccess issue for a BR report, that while in IFS Explorer, users can only see and run BR reports that their IFS access allows them to.However, if someone logs in with the standalone Business Reporter client on their PC, they can access and run all the BR reports in the system, regardless of their IFS user security settings, so the security settings are bypassed altogether.Is this a bug, or is there something that needs configuring in the system to ensure they can only see and run the same reports in the BR client that they have access to in the IFS Explorer client?IFS Explorer client version: apps 10 update 14, in house installation.Business Reporter client: Apps 10, version 5.0.24Thanks
When using the Output option under a screen to output data on a screen to Excel, I expected the output to be saved in the default location set in my Excel if I click the Save button on in Excel while in the file.However instead of going to my documents folder on the PC, which is my default save location in Excel, after alot of searching I found the files generated like this in IFS are actually going to an IFS temp folder instead, so the next time I log into my windows, they are gone.Where and how do I set my default location for files output to Excel from IFS this way to my normal Documents folder, if IFS is ignoring the default path set in my Excel options?Heres what I do:Output file with this option: When in Excel, press Save (not Save As), and then file ends up in the temp folder below instead of in my Documents folder.In the path below, user id is my actual user id, and the 2 digit number directory at the end changes name at each Windows logout / login.C:\Users\<userid>\AppDa
Over time, some employees have been moved to work under different managers. The employee files are showing the correct direct supervisors. However, the managers of some of these are saying they cannot see their expenses, etc. When I have checked if these employees are showing up the list of supervised employees for the current manager shown in the employment file in the Supervisor Access screen, they are not listed under the current manager, still under the previous one.I have entered a new row for one of these employees under their new manager in the Position Access Setup screen and saved it. But if I go back into the supervised employees screen for this new manager (after refreshing the screen) the employee is still not showing up there, they are still listed under the previous managers supervised employees list. I have tried setting the valid until date for the row in the old managers position access setup to the date that they changed to the new manager, but it makes no difference
I have run an IFS EE client process that is failing with the EE Debug Console on. So now I have exported the session into an xml file with the Debug Console Export button. Now I want to test that the file can be imported into another debug console client before sending it to our developers for analysis, but I do not find any import option to do this in the Debug Console, so how can such files be imported into another debug console client for analysis? I have tried using the FIle - Import from File option on the debug console, but this only allows the import of .dcs files, which just seem to contain debug console client settings, not any actual debug session information.
We have some support contracts in the screen with the navigation below which are owned by a user who has left, and their IFS account is deactivated. How can the ownership be changed to the person now doing the role, and the same will apply to any Support Key ownership as well. I have tried editing the ownership and changed by details below, as MP01897 has left, but cannot find any way to do that, and because this runs for many years, we cannot just wait for it to expire: I guess the same will apply to changing any Support Keys related to these agreements as well, but have not started looking at that yet. I had to retroactively had to move someone with drag and drop into their new position under their new manager in the Graphical Position Structure, as this had not been done when they moved positions. However, the valid from date took the date I made the change instead letting me change it to the date they actually moved positions and the day before for the valid to date for the old position. These seem to be non-editable fields, so how can I get round this to put in the correct dates? I am a system admin, so should have full access to the whole system. The dates shown are wrong and need changing to the correct ones. Thanks
Related to another unanswered topic I submitted, we have seen when employees get a new manager in the employee file, there are various other screens that have not been updated, and managers cannot see expenses etc. Is there a step by step guide somewhere on which screens to update and in which order to transfer an employee from one manager to another?Or a step by step guide to add a new employee, with all the correct position and supervisor setup in the correct order would also be helpful.This is on Apps 10
Hi, I have been asked to change a wrong valid from date in the Position Structure screen, but can find no way to edit the existing row or add a new row in it. The screen in question is the one below. So if this a read only screen, which screen is the one to use to edit such information? Please let me know the navigation to the screen I need to go to.I have already checked the Positions screen, and the dates are correct there. This is the screen showing the wrong Valid From date, which is different from the screen above. Thanks
Apps 10A user has reported that when he tries to print a highlighted tool request in the Tools Request screen, it fails with this msg: But the report is OK, because if I try to run it, it works correctly and produces the report on the screen.I am assuming it is a permissions issue, but I have hunted around various permission sets, and cannot see what controls the access to run this or any other quick report. I have tried using the debug console, but nothing at all is written there when this user tries to run it. Where does the access for users to run any quick report and then a specific report get set in Apps 10 please? This is not being scheduled as a background job, it should appear in the screen directly after choosing the Print Highlighted… option with the right mouse button. Thanks
While trying to correct the start dates in the Assignments tab of the Employee File for an employee, I get this msg (the correct start date should be 14th Nov 2022). In the main Summary screen of the Emp. File, this date is correct and if I check the rmb option Set Employee Status details, it is also correct there.I have also checked the Position Access Setup screen for this employee, and it is correct there as well. So where is the system getting the date of 16th Nov in the error msg from?This is in Apps 10 (in house system).
After logging on to the main IFS start page, super users have the Search field at the top right available to type in, but most normal business users do not - it is greyed out and not possible to type anything into it. How is access to this controlled, so if needed we can grant the right security to non-super users who would want it?We have not been able to identify the object(s) that users need to be granted access to so they can use it.
