Hello,When we try in “Report In Work Order” to “Place Serial Object in Equipment Structure” we get this error: The part is issued to the customer on the work order we try and use.After it was issued on the work order, someone incorrectly tried to add it to the equipment structure, I suspect this is causing the issue, but cannot find a way to solve it. The part is not linked to the object mentioned above.Thank you in advance,Michael

Hello, Is there an option to “lock” document classes, so people need a password to open and view specific documents? As example, sick-leave documents in My Absense Calendar or medical expeses in Expense Sheets?Besides the “Restriction” which have in place on some documents, but if you are in that group, you can see all the documents, we need to limit that further. So person A can see document 1, 2, 3 and 4. But Person B can only see 3, 4 and 5 Thanks,Michael

Hello all, We are trying to create a form for “check-list” that will automatically be attached to all newly created work orders. Current plan is to have it as a PDF file. We have some customers requesting to have thier invoices uploaded to a website (not the same site). I can see under “Comms Method” (in Apps9) that I have add a line and put “Communication Method” as www and in “Value” add the website, but how/where do I add login and password to go to that site? In addition, when we do service invoices, we have to attach a copy of the service report. Is there a simple automatic way of doing that? They all have the same “Document Class”? Thanks,Michael

In our setup, we have 12 difference Sites (split per country) currently if I transfer to mobile and check “Pool Work Order” it goes out to all our engineers globally. And I don’t want someone in Americas to fly to Europe to do a service where we have an engineer within 1 hour drive.Is there a way we can split this up, so it only goes out to the engineers connected to XX site? Hello, We are looking into having the option to create a “Near Miss Incident Report” directly from the work order, was thinking about using Case Toll for this, but I cannot see the option from the work order to Right Mouse and create Task/Case? Is there some “manual” for what IFS can in the different modules? Some basic step-by-step guide, on a user level? I’m trying to understand what IFS can compared to what we use and where we can improve/benefit from standard functionality. We have found an issue when we create a Customer Order that originates from a Business Opportunity.When we change the quantity, it will add another line of discount and doubling it. Business Opportunity created for 2 units and converted into a Customer Order: Changed quantity to 3 units and get this pop up (the first 25% discount comes in automatic from the Customer Agreement?): Now line level shows 50% discount instead of the 25% mentioned in the agreement: When I right mouse on the line and go to Order Line Discount, I can see 2 lines now - 1 for agreement and 1 for manual? Doesn’t matter if we add and deduct the quantity, an additional line will be added? Is this a bug or a setup issue in the Customer Agreement? Thanks,Michael
Hello all,We are have issues when our engineers in in other time zones book time on Mwo, our service is set to UK time zone.Doing below test, it was 13.00 DK time (12.00 UK time)Work Order created (UK time is shown under “Journal”).Changed to Released, still under UK time zone.Transferred to Mobile Work Order, still under UK time zone.I changed my computer time to Singapore (20.02 when change was done)Default “Start” time on the mobile work order shows the time I set it to.When I go to the “Actual Finish” box and say, job completed 19.30 local SG time, it jumps to “21/3 02.30”And when I try and save, I get “Actual Finish date cannot be in the future” error, but for “me” in Singapore it was completed 40 mins ago.Thanks,Michael

Hello all, Is there a way that we can somehow color indication equipment (both Functional Objects and Serial Objects) in the Equipment Object Navigator - Structure?We have equipment split in 3 categories; In Production (Green), Service Support (Yellow/Orange) and End of Life (Red). When we issue the final invoice from a Work Order, the “Delivery Date” doesn’t follow the actual “Service/Delivery Date” filled in, creating confusion and questions from our Customers. We cannot adjust the “Wanted Delivery Date” on the Customer Order lines and no matter what we put on the work order the “Delivery Date” on the line level remains the invoice date. Isn’t there a way around this, so we can put in the day we actually did the service and not when we did the invoice? Thanks,Michael
We have some customers in CA that have a GST tax of 5%.We just did an invoice for 1080 CAD, but tax amount shows at 108 CAD (10% and not 5% as the tax code GST shows). Error was noticed on the Proforma Invoice, where it was showing: “Taxable Amount” = 1080 CAD and “Tax Amount” 108 CAD.To check it it was just a drop in system, we did complete the final invoice, but that now shows “Taxable Amount” 2160 CAD and “Tax Amount” 108 CAD (which is 5% of 2160, but order is only for 1080 CAD?). But “Sub Total” on the invoice shows correctly 1080 CAD, but “Tax” is back to 108 (10%)? Even on the Customer Order screen, we can see in the bottom of the page that Tax amount is calculated to 10% and not the 5% the tax code says: Anyone have any idea where this is going wrong or if we did something incorrect on the order and/or invoice? Hello all, We are working on connecting the spares to the objects, but we use Serialized objects a lot, is there a way to connect the Spare Part to same Parent Object cross all sites, ignoring the different serial numbers etc?As example: Main Part number: 025953-0000-000, always have the same 4 spare parts. But from what I can see, I have to add those 4 manual every single time, isn’t there a way that we can link the same 4 parts from the same site to the main part number? Thank you,Michael

We’ve are running into the issue that a Service Contract cannot be added to a Work Order generated from a Separate PM Action Job. When we try to save the Work Order, we get this error:The PM Action Job is included in the contract the customer have with us. I’ve tried to generate a PM Action job from the Service Contract, but that cannot be done either. When I add it on the Service Contract (under PM Settings), I get this error:The equipment that I’ve picked is included on the contract. Where are we going wrong? Thank you in advance,Michael
Is it possible to split Non-Inventory cost price lines. As an example, we use NI-2000 for labour hours and NI-2001 for travel time.Some contracts might cover 4 hours travel and up to 10 hours travel. And any further is booked on the Work Order, it will automatic be excluded from the Service Contract?If possible, where can we add this? Thank you,Michael
Hello all,Pardon if this subject is incorrect or wrong Sub forum, this is my first post.We are still in Apps9 and fairly new in IFS still. We have a structure setup Parent ID → Child ID → serialized items. But when we try to add a serialized item we often get the error message “Functional Object No () can not be change because Serial Status is not in “In Facility”, “Contained”, “In RepairWorkshop” og “In Inventory”.Part Owership states “Customer Owned” which is correct. But we need to be able to keep track of the items under the parent Object ID.Is there a way we can link the Serial Objects to a Parent Object, even with “Ownership” being Customer Owned?
