So in short the question, how does IFS generate the Assignment Dates for Work Orders? When I generate a Work Order IFS the assignment dates are generated automatically. This generates a start and a finish, but what factors influence these dates? Could somebody give me some explanation?
Hello, I am setting up Aurena for our maintenance department. How do I disable the link function of text in Aurena? For example I have this window in Aurena/ Technical Portals/ Work Details.Text in blue are all links, but this does not lead to helpful information. So I would like to turn this link into plain text. How do I do this?
Hello, We are planning to use Aurena (technician/ maintenance portal). Yesterday I received feedback of our technicians that the interface is not that intuitive. I am hoping you can assist me in improving the application for our technicians.What we would like is to view the Task Steps underneath the Work Order. This would enable the users to instantly know what work the task contains. I already know the “Definition” of a Work Task Template pulls through to the Work Task. But is it possible to add a view of task steps? Or possibly the Job Description? If not, would it be possible to edit the view of Work Details to include Task Steps? (And to exclude irrelevant information such as components from the Task Information?)
Hello,I am having difficulty understanding the combination of Failure Analysis Setup Navigator i.c.w. Fault Reporting. It was my initial understanding the FASN should we filled so mechanics would have a smarter/ filtered way of reporting causes.However, what I currently see, is all of the options. This does not seem to directly relate to each other. Could somebody please explain what I am doing wrong?Below a some screenshots;example Item Class: Measuring EquipmentWhen creating a fault report I see all of the other fault types. While I only defined 2 fault types. The same applies for Causes and Symptoms. Thanks in advance
Hi all,Currently we are playing around with Aurena on tablets. Samsung Galaxy Tab A8Initially we started Aurena in browsers and we landed on Edge due to the ability to go full screen. Additionally when prompted to add media, the screen popped up with the option to select the camera or to browse folders. Truly amazing!Unfortunately this function does not seem to work anymore, after IT updated the tablets. I only see that this is Android 12 and a bunch of other versions of stuff I do not fully understand.Anyway, I was told in the newest version of Android Samsung has restricted media access (i.o.w. the camera does not open up when using Aurena). Could somebody help me to regain the previous functionality?Additionally could someone tell me if running Aurena this way is advised? Or is there a better/ more stable way?Thanks in advance
Hello! Currently we are playing around in IFS Service and Maintenance module. Due to some project difficulties and lack of resources the option has mentioned to start working in the Test-environment.This will work, however all of the data created by working with the module may be potentially lost. This is because I do not know the process of migrating “historical” data (from Work Tasks/ Fault Reports).Is this possible? Can I copy/ migrate information from Test to Live? And how should I execute this? Thanks in advance!
Is it possible to modify the search criteria in Aurena?For example, I would like to generate a Requisition and without looking up the exact Work Order/ Functional Object. So, I would use the search function below Work Order. I can find the Work Order Number and a general description, but not the (Work Task) Definition, as specified in the Work Task Template. The same would apply for looking up a Functional Object, I can find and sort numbers, but I cannot find the (Object) Description.

I found a thread about the same questions, but it is not clear to me.Obsolete revisions on PM Actions | IFS CommunityCurrently the only effective method known to me is as follows.Create Work Task Template Revision Create revision on relevant PM Programs Replace Work Task Template in PM Programs Apply new revision on relevant objects Correct Start Value (effective change date)This seems to be a lot of work, so I found the function: Replace Obsolete Work Task Templates On PM Actions. But this does not update existing active PM Actions. So I found the thread and was hopeful to try to change the Work Task Template via RMB on the header. Unfortunately, I am unable to try this due to the fact it keeps being grayed out. Several tests later, trying out new revisions, status changes. I remain unable to select these options. Can someone help me?
Hello, We would like to start assigning Work Orders to specific technicians. Currently I know how to allocate Work Orders via the Active Work Order screen. This would be fine to start working with, unfortunately I am unable to directly view if an order is allocated to a person. This makes it difficult to assign specific Orders to specific persons.Is there a way to directly view and assign/ allocate resource in one screen?Furthermore, I can assign a multiple people to a single Work Order. If one technician would accept the work, will the work disappear from the screen of the other technician(s)?Finally, could this process be automated? To be assigned using Qualifications (Resource Details)?
Hello,I was wondering how the values in the Equipment Object Cost/Revenue Analysis are generated?To get an insight in the operational cost I am looking for a method to connect part cost (i.r.w. maintenance activities) to functional objects.My current guess is that the Purchase Requisitions generated by Work Orders are linked to Functional Objects. Additionally, if we were to add labor cost to personnel we would also start generating labour cost via Clockings of Work Orders. Could anyone help me with these questions?Kind regards,Wout
Hello all,One of the deliverables on the implementation of Asset Management (Service and Maintenance in IFS) is to get insight in future activities.Now I know it is possible to generate Work Tasks, which we could summarize and present. But I don't believe this would suit the request for a Long Term Maintenance Plan.Such a plan (I imagine) would give an overview of larger maintenance activities (overhauls/ revisions/ modifications etc.). Could someone please assist me on this topic? Thanks in advance!Wout
Hello dearest community, I have a question regarding the Work Task Filters i.r.w. IFSAPPS10 vs Aurena. To give a bit of context, a couple of years back we started using IFS as ERP. Currently we are moving maintenance to IFS as well. However, it has been announced we will be moving to Aurena in about a year or so. Furthermore another site abroad already implemented maintenance in IFSAPPS10. To prevent confusion on implementing Aurena we decided to directly start using Aurena for maintenance purposes. But Aurena is a bit funny at certain times. One of the differences we have found is the missing of “My Work” in Aurena. Fortunately we have found the “Technician Portals > Maintenance Engineer” which acts and seems to work the same. However, the application of Work Task Filters does not seem to work in Aurena.
