Aurena Agent Installation Error

Our environment is IFS Application 10 Update 8. When our standard users run the SetupAurenaAgent.msi they receive the Interrupted error message every time. If the SetupAurenaAgent.msi is run as a local administrator it succeeds but the installation is done under the local administrators account so its useless to the standard user. Standard users have full access to their AppData directory and they are able to install the IEE Agent successfully. We suspect maybe the installer is trying to modify some registry keys that require administrator access. Regards,William Klotz

Outlook Depreciating COM Plugins

Hello, Microsoft is depreciating COM and VSTO plugins in the new version of Outlook. We discovered as part of our testing of the new Outlook the IFS Document management plugin is no longer able to be installed and utilized because it relies on VSTO and COM. Microsoft Plugin InformationPlugin Development Information Do IFS have plans on supporting the Web plugin so we can continue to use the document management plugin with the new version of Microsoft Outlook? Fixed Asset Depreciation Error

Hello, Has anyone seen the error "Not possible to calculate relative period with respect to last depreciation date 4/30/23"?We have a TAX Book (no GL postings) that won't run a Depreciation Proposal, and instead gives the above error.This happens when we run July 2023 Proposal (and forward). May and June Proposals processed without issue. But those Proposals did not generate any actual Depreciation and it seems these are related. Go live was related (from an Asset standpoint) to the 4/30/2023 date.Any simple things we may have overlooked? Regards,William Klotz

Send eMail using Microsoft Graph API

How To Restrict Timeclock Usage

Perform Site MRP Background Job Error

I wanted to expand on a reason you could get the error ‘Error snapshot MRP Supply/Demand. MRP can not find required date of Order No in calendar’ based on the thread below. The issue could be caused by more than your manufacturing calendar not being extended far enough. If you make a mistake setting up you part information within the Inventory Part on the Planning Data tab you can cause this issue. The below mistake where one of our users switched the Safety Stock and Safety Lead Time caused the exact error. The error in data entry caused the MRP to think the safety stock lead time was 10000 days which would exceed our generated calendar but the root cause was the inventory part setup not the calendar generation. Here’s how it should have been entered. Once changed MRP successfully ran again. It’s very important to know who to troubleshoot issue within IFS to determine the root cause of the issue. IFS .NET Print Agents

Hello, We are currently moving to IFS Application 10 Update 6 and we read in the documentation the .NET IFS Printer Agents currently do not support the Socket Server which we’d use to print ZPL files. The java version of the print agent still supports a Socket Server to print ZPL but we’d like to utilize the .NET Print Agents. Is there any release information on when the .NET Print Agents will implement the Socket Server? Thank you, William Klotz

Receiving Shop Order Using Rest API

Hello, We are currently using IFS Application 10 Update 15 and I’m trying to provide some automation to our production lines by receiving in product into inventory from the shop order as it passes a sensor on the production line. I’m using Postman to test to get an understanding of the API’s and data I need to pass to successfully receive product into inventory. When I call the API below I get a 201 Created status so it appears the API is successful. But when I look in the quantity in stock screen I do not see the inventory in the location nor is the shop order qty completed and qty remaining information updated so something isn’t correct. I’m using basic authentication at the moment until I can get everything working in Postman. Aurena - Shop Orders Screen Part and Description Concatenated

Hello, We have recently begun utilizing the Aurena interface within select departments and one of the feedback is they do not like having the part no and description concatenated on the shop orders screen because when they export to Excel the data is exported as it is on the screen. Our users want the shop orders screen layout to be like IEE where the part number and description are in separate columns. Has anyone made this change using the Page Designer?We are very new to Aurena and its taking us a while to relearn these types of changes. Notify Me - Document Management Approval / Reject

Hello, We currently are using document management and approvals of documents. When we start approval process on the document the approvers in the list of approvers on the document receive an email telling them about a document requiring approval and the document is attached to the email for them to view. We’d like to utilize the IFS Notify Me application so someone who may not have direct access to IFS can receive the notification of the pending approval request and ideally be able to approve or reject the document from the IFS Notify Me application. Is this functionality available within IFS Application 10 Update 8 or above?Do we need to define a custom action to accomplish the functionality? Regards,William Klotz

Replacing IFS Aurena Built-In Lobbies

Hello Everyone, Is it possible to replace the Aurena built-in lobbies in IFS Application 10 with a customized lobby?In the screenshot below we’d like to replace the My Time and Attendance lobby for Aurena with a custom lobby we’ve created. We’d like so when someone clicks on the My Time and Attendance navigation link in HR that our custom lobby would be displayed. I went into Navigation Designer but I wasn’t able to figure out how to change the information on the navigation link so it would use the new lobby. We do not want to edit the built-in lobbies we prefer to duplicate the built-in lobbies and customize the duplicated lobby. Regards,William Klotz

Microsoft Power Apps Integration With IFS

Hello, Our company has been utilizing Microsoft Power Apps for a while now and we’ve created several Power Apps over time and we think utilizing Microsoft Power Apps would be useful for creating applications for our users who also may need to retrieve or enter data into IFS Application 10 Update 8 and higher. We are thinking about creating applications which would integrate with the IFS HR Onboarding and Training, Call Center, NCR and Corrective and Preventative Action modules. Has anyone created a Microsoft Power App which integrates with IFS and could you share how you created it and utilize your application. We are just beginning to research this topic. I’ve seen this community post but there isn’t much details in it. We’d really like to look at a sample application so we can understand how to support having our users log into IFS from the Power App. We use Azure AD and have IFS configured to utilize this as well. A sample application would go a long way to helping us understand

Starting Multiple Shop Order Operations

Hello, We are running IFS Application 10 Update 8 and an upcoming change to our manufacturing environment is going to require two shop order operations to be started simultaneously. For example lets say we have the following operations defined.10 - Charging15 - Pumping20 - Circulation When the operator starts operation 10 we’d like IFS to also start operation 15 as well. We know we can have the operator manually start operation 10 and 15 manually but we are trying to eliminate a point of failure and automate this functionality. Regards,William Klotz

Automatically Cancelling Order Lines Not Shipped

Hello, We have several customers who wish us to ship any product we have available to ship but they do not wish to have the remaining lines or quantities back ordered for future shipments. We are releasing the quantities not available from the shipment so we can complete, deliver and close the shipment. We would like IFS to automatically cancel the unshipped lines from the customer order so the order will be invoiced/closed once we send the invoice. Does IFS have any built in functionality to cancel the order lines unshipped or would we have to create a custom event and action to accomplish this task? Regards,William Klotz

IFS Application 10 support of Windows 11

Hello, We are currently running IFS Application 10 Update 8 but plan on upgrading to Update 13 shortly. Our IT department has announced they plan on upgrading everyone to Windows 11 in January 2022. Does IFS have a date and IFS Application 10 Upgrade package they plan on certifying support for Windows 11? We’ve got two machine currently running the Beta copy of Windows 11 and everything seems to work fine except we are not able to install IFS Business Reporter. We get an error about the Office Primary Interop Assemblies have not been installed. On a Windows 10 machine running the same Microsoft Office 365 x64 suite we can successfully install IFS Business Reporter. Microsoft hasn’t released a new release of the Primary Interop Assemblies since Office 2010 and we believe this is the issue. Regards,William Klotz

Notify Me 10 - Approval Purchase Requisition Lines

Hello, We are presently running IFS Application 10 Update 8 we have the touch app server configured and accessible. We can successfully run the Aurena Scan IT 10 app and Aurena Notify Me 10 app. We are properly receiving notifications on the Aurena Notify Me 10 application but we find purchase requisition line authorization behavior strange. Let me explain. We’ve been using purchase requisitions for years and we currently approve the requisition lines within IFS Enterprise Explorer but we now have many more of our authorizers remote or traveling so we thought we would start testing IFS Aurena Notify Me 10 on Android and IOS phones. When the users receive a purchase requisition authorization notification they see the entry in the app on their phone with the authorize / reject buttons. If they click on the notification to view the details they see in the body of the message all the lines on the purchase requisition. They go back to the top level of the notification and press auth

Credit Limit With Supplier

Hello, Does IFS provide a way to set the credit limit a supplier has provided a company similar to the credit limit on a customer record? Our accounting department would like to have IFS enforce a credit limit from a supplier so purchasing can not release purchase orders which would exceed our credit limit with a supplier. EDI Invoice - Print or Send Manually

We utilize EDI to receive purchase orders and send invoices for several customers. We now have a customer who is configured to also utilize EDI for purchase orders and invoices but they do not want to receive credit invoices by EDI they want them manually sent. At the customer record we have the message setup configured for message class INVOIC and its set to the default. We thought by just unchecking the Method Default IFS would allow us to choose to print the invoice or send the invoice but when the Method Default is checked we can only Send Invoice which sends it by EDI and prints it storing the PDF in the report archive. When its unchecked we can only Print Invoice only which actually prints it out and stores the PDF in the report archive. Do anyone know who to configure IFS so we can choose to Print an invoice or Send it by EDI? Regards,William Klotz

Lobby Element Launch IEE Requisition Page

Hello, I’ve created an element for purchase requisition lines awaiting approval and it displays the lines correctly the user needs to authorize. In Aurena I have it working where you can click on the line and open the purchase requisition screen but I’m running into difficulty with clicking on one of the lines and opening the IEE Purchase Requisition screen so they can look at the entire requisition. BizAPI Send Employee Information

Hello, We are using IFS Application 10 Update 8 and I see a BizApi and Web Services to send employee information. We’d like to make use of this API to send the employee information to ADP when we onboard or change employee information. I’m unable to locate a RMB option to send the employee data. Business Reporter : Creating Pivot Tables

Hi Everyone, We’ve recently upgraded to IFS Application 10 Update 8. I was asked today to create a Business Report that generated the results in a pivot table format. In IFS Application 8 with Business Analytics there was a button where I could choose a pivot table but I do not see this option in Business Reporter included in IFS Application 10 Update 8. Has the feature been removed?If so how do we generate a pivot table output using Business Reporter. Thank you,William Klotz

How To Print Multiple Invoices Into Single PDF File

Hello Everyone, We currently generate one invoice per customer order and email the customer a PDF of the invoice during the invoicing process. Some of our customers have requested we send them just one PDF containing multiple individual invoices. The customers want a separate invoice number for each order which we believe rules out using collective invoices. Finance would like to have IFS basically print each invoice into a PDF and merge each new printed invoice into the same PDF so when a customer opens the PDF they’ll see multiple invoices within the same file. How to print multiple invoices into single pdf file

Hello, I couldn’t figure out how to move my original posting to the Technology forum so I’ve created a new posting. Below is the original posting just for reference.https://community.ifs.com/finance-financials-42/how-to-print-multiple-invoices-into-single-pdf-file-3476?postid=11875#post11875 We have a set of customers which we generate many invoices each day and they’ve asked us to consolidate them into a single PDF instead of the multiple PDF’s that CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REP produces. We use the built in report to print our invoices CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REP with some modifications to pull in extra information and layout changes. The CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REP will generate one invoice report per invoice and usually we just print to a PDF instead of a paper. These customers receive their invoices by EDI so the PDF invoice is really just a backup for them in case something goes wrong with the EDI transmission. Aurena Time Clock

We currently have IFS Application 10 Update 8 installed in our environment and we plan on moving from IFS Enterprise Explorer to Aurena in the coming months. I’ve been playing with the Aurena environment and I haven’t been able to locate the Time Clock terminal within Aurena. Do anyone know if IFS as ported the Time Clock terminal to the Aurena client or do we need to wait until a future IFS Application 10 Update packag? Thank you,William Klotz
