We run IFS Apps9 Update16. We have 2 Application servers hosting 4 Managed Servers in a IFS Application clustered configuration. We are looking to change the IFSSYS password via the installer change password option, but I am wondering if the new password change will be pushed through to the 2nd App Server Host? or would I need to recreate the clustered install/manually intervene in some way?We have tested the usual change, but our test system is still not yet clustered.Would be good to hear from any other clustered users.ThanksMike
We have a request for implementing an interface between TeamCenter, the PLM system of Siemens with IFS10. Do you have it up and running or have you looked at it. I don’t need full specs here, more a sense of how difficult it would be to prepare such an interface or that it can be bought from a partner or Siemens. Thanks in advance.
Hi, We currently have multiple companies set up in IFS. I am able to view the GL Balance Analysis for the main company, but am unable to view it for the other companies. It gives me the ‘Information Message’ saying No data found. I can access the session in all the companies, but am only able to generate data from the main company and not the others. I’m guessing this might be some permission that is not set up properly? Our system administrator doesn’t know where to look to grant me access. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Lawrence

Hi, I would like to know if Enterprise Explorer would handle rolling updates in this scenario: Cluster of 2+ nodes NGINX load balancer The process for applying updates would be: Take down 1 node Does Enterprise Explorer switch over to a new node seamlessly without crashing and kicking the user out? Apply the client delivery to that node Bring the node back up Repeat the process for all nodes… Profit? Is this scenario possible without EE crashing? NOTE: We only deliver client updates using the installer. Database changes are done manually to prevent downtime. This also cuts the delivery process to a couple of minutes, instead of hours.
Hello, A customer of mine has asked to extend one of the fields in IFS9. My immediate answer was: no go. Don't do it. The change is relatively simple when looking at the table itself, but the remaining things? What is your opinion on this? Regards, Steve
I know you can request an emergency license (last 3 days) from IFS using the link provided. This generates a license key. How do I apply this? Normally, we receive an xml and click apply then select the xml to license the software. Thanking you in advance for your help.
