As part of the cloud migration, we created an app-service and deployed the API that would connect to the IFS database. Even though the AA’s Azure IPs are whitelisted in the IFS side, still we are having issues connecting to the database. The attached screenshot shows that we are able to establish connection to the IFS servers from the Azure App-Service. However, when we try to invoke an API that connects the IFS DB, the API fails to connect to the DB. Attached is the stack trace of the error that we receive from the IFS dll. Could you please point us to someone from IFS who can help with this and make us understand what could be causing the issue.
I have created a new page in IFS EE 10 (screen cap below) and I want to navigate to it via an RMB from another screen. However I want it to open a open a new record on the page automatically when it opens. So that the text field “No. Of Labels” just needs a value to be entered (the plus sign has already been clicked) .“Create Window” action type from the RMB won’t work. Is what I want to do possible?Thank you.
Hi,I would like to have more information for the DSE calculation with 2 adresses for Technicians. 1/ I assume that if we set 2 adresses for an Technician : StartShift and Endshift, the DSE will use these inputs in the calculation. Right ?Use case : Startshift adress : Office Endshift Address : Home 2/ If we set 2 different adresses : Could we have the data of the last travel in the DSE tables (Service Order > Endshift Adress) ?NB : If the Endshift Adress is far from the Startshift, the total travel can be very different and the selection of the technician also for the last service order of the day. Can someone explain the working of General Queue Module in Astea v14?We have a customer who maintains business in multiple countries. So, they all have separate country code, nodes etc., However, when it comes to work, all the back-office users from all these countries work together under this single business unit. And they need to see “Materials from one country (node belonging to a country) to be visible for another country user (whose node is in different country) in the general queue.”Is it doable? are there any settings which can be exploited to achieve this behavior in general queue? We recently upgraded to IFS Cloud R23.1.7 from Apps 10 aurena. In Aurena we kept the page context as “Global” With each upgrade we have to go into Page configuration and bring all of the “Behind” pages to a status of “Up-to-Date” I have 3 separate companies, each requiring their own custom screen layouts. In order to maintain multiple versions of screens in IFS cloud, I am going to have to maintain multiple versions “Context” of each screen. I would then need to apply any upgrade changes to each context version of the screen. What is the most efficient way to do this. I need to make sure with each upgrade that all the new functionality is added but also keep all of my custom entities(Custom fields) on those screens. At this point I have been expanding the comparisons and un-doing the items that are deleted before I put the new version in place. Is there a better way?Thanks,Jennifer
Hello,I am wondering if anyone has streamlined the manual entry of supplier invoices (non-PO) using an import function to reduce the time spent entering multiple supplier invoices individually? For reference on what it is I am trying to do, we use an external software for employee expenses, some are reimbursable so would be paid out to them, that are “coded” to an account, department, and (optional) type. Once we have determined where the expense(s) need to be coded, they are then manually entered into IFS individually. I am wondering if it is possible to dump a spreadsheet with the supplier ID, coding, and amount to speed up the process?*Do note there are oftentimes multiple lines per one invoice and also there are subscriptions that would need to be period allocated.Thank you for any and all advice and help!
I use plsql_rest_sender_API.Call_Rest_EP_Empty_Body_Sync2 to make a synchronous GET request. Based on the response I am required to take further action.When making sync request IFS always throws an error in the application message and hangs.ifs.fnd.base.SystemException: Unable to get database connection. (javax.resource.ResourceException: IJ000453: Unable to get managed connection for java:/jdbc/However an async call is successful. What could be the root cause for this error?

For a specific transaction registered in the system in April, customer expects to view the cost values in the postings in ‘Inventory Transactions History Screen’ in corresponding to March accounting period. I have created External voucher for Fixed Asset object. When try to approve there is error Object has existing accounting transactions with code string that differs from the transaction to be created.How Can I delete or amend the line with error? I can’t do it on external load information.

Hi How do we write off Customer balances in IFS cloud. In Apps 10 this can be done on customer offset window, however this functionality is missing in cloud.The manual customer offset option (Customer offset proposal) doesn't have this option either. Regards, Praveen
We are currently using IFS 10/UPD 18. We currently have all parts setup as average cost/cost per part. We also use the project system for shop order processing. Our issue is that due to IFS cascading cost revaluation entries, projects we have closed completely, from the project itself to the financial project, are being created. These are due to average costing changes. We understand the cause. The problem is that outside of the fact we do not want a project to be touched after it is closed, these same transactions become posting errors because the project is closed. The only way to get them to post is to open up the financial project, open up the project and open up the activity. Outside of turning on lot/batch control/changing the project after it is completed, to non-capitalization, does anyone have a superior solution? Thanks,Rich
Issue: Project Transactions Invoicability is set as “Delayed Invoicing”, still project transactions were considered for “invoicing” and invoice status is “Paid Posted”. What can be the reason or Is it a bug? Thanks & RegardsPratik Shah
hiwe just upgraded to Cloud.I’m really sad to see that Cloud doesn’t have the same advanced search functions that we left behind in Apps 9.I cannot figure out a way to download a list of invoices for the month with all the invoice lines rolled up to one total.I also cannot figure out how to use the GL Balance Analysis screens to tell me what the balance of an account was at the close of business yesterday. Seems like there are no date parameters available to use as a search.How do we find the balance of an account for a given date???

I am trying to update CUST_ORDER_TEMPLATE_LINE but am getting the error message ORA-20121: CustOrderTemplateLine.INSERT: Field [LINE_NO] in Cust Order Template Line may not be specified for new objects. How do I rectify this please ? I have also removed the field from the update but it is not creating any new records just updating the records.
Hello together,when I report time on a project by the Time Card, the dialog with the switches “Project”, “Shop Order” and “Indirect” pops up. All the three switches are st on inactive. When I turn on of these on active, I can report time.My question is now: is it possible to set the switch “Project” on active by default, so that (ideally) that dialog is skipped and IFS leads me direct to the Time Reporting of the Project, see screenshot? Perhaps by page designer?Thx and regards Markus
Hi,What is the difference between “Initiated” and “State Date” fields of an application message. Can the values for these two fields be different by hours.
