Project activity demand planned cost

Hi @Asela Munasinghe , I had a look on this in IFS Cloud 23R1. It actually worked as you expected. The cost to the demand line was fetched from the Price List in SfPP. One thing I’m suspicious is the dates. Check whether the “Required Date” in your demand line falls between the “Valid From” and “Valid Too” dates of your Price List line. (Otherwise, demand line will not pick that as a valid cost which is the correct functionality.)

Running PMRP without creating MTR

Hi @MKSGulam , Have you tried using the below option in your Project PNG ? You will still see a MTR is getting created but it will not be processed. The MTR will be of type “Planning” and it cannot be processed beyond the status “Released”, so a material transfer will not take place corresponding to this MTR. The user will not be able to process the MTR further (intentionally or unintentionally). Hence, can be used as an indication for the demand for Part ABC, and create a PR manually.

@janufi and @Asela Munasinghe there is a particular hierarchy that it follows when fetching the costs to the Misc. demand line. Please check the below screenshot from the Help text. I actually did not test this recently. Let me know if this answers your question.

PMRP is not working

Hi @ronhu, Not sure in which version you are in. In the BOM (Product Structure) for the component line there is a column named something line “Std Planned Item”. Check whether it is ticked, if it is ticked then PMRP will not plan for that component, only MRP does.

Hi @Buwaneka Paranamanna, The messages you are seeing are not due to the excess qtys you have received against PO. Message 1 This means that there are inventory transactions with postings connected to your Activity, and these need to be transferred to financials. Execute “Transfer Inventory Transactions” job for the Site 1 > This will create a voucher (in the holding table) > Update that voucher to GL (for that you can use “Update GL Vouchers” job)Message 2 Now that you have a remaining 6 qtys (after counting) these are in allocation to the project inventory. You will either have toIssue these to the Activity (enter a Misc. Parts demand line in the activity, for the same part, and the RMB and Issue), or transfer them to standard inventory (there is an RMB option in the Inventory Part in Stock window,These actions will create new transactions, so follow the same process as I have explained under Message 1 topic. CBS - IFS scheduling

Hi @CheSusumY, It is not quite accurate to determine whether your Shop Order is actually scheduled for a non-working day just by looking at the schedule line. Though it runs across non-working days the operations of it could be actually loaded only on working days. For an example;In the yellow marked area you can see the Calendar “TI-CAL1” does not have any working days, so there is nothing loaded for those 2 days (red circled area) in the work center “NS-W1”.However, you can see that the schedule line of operation 211250-*-*-1 is running across, but that does not mean the operation is loaded for non-working days. Let me know whether this clarifies your question.

Intersite Flow: Automatic Part Creation

Hi @Asela Munasinghe, Is it possible to generate the Incoming Customer Order without having an Inventory Part in the supply site, in the first place ? How about using the Copy Part window in the application ? You can create the same Inventory Part and the Sales Part in the supply site. Also, you can disable the copy of Purchase Part in this window because generally the same part is a Manufactured part in the supply site.After the copy, you can do the manual adjustments in the supply site which I believe will be less compared to creating everything manually from the scratch.

Can you mass upload estimate material cost?

Hi @LASICB, You can use Update Estimated Material Cost job for that. There are additional parameters for parts selection. In the Percentage Change filed you have to mention from what percentage the estimated material cost should get updated.

Sub contracting operations for shop order

Hi @Deepak, The SUBCONDIF transactions are triggered when there is a difference between the PO amount and the Invoice amount.e.g., Let’s say the PO value of the shop order subcontracted operation is 10usd. However, the supplier has invoiced for 15usd. Then there is a difference, hence a SUBCONDIF+ with a value of 5usd will be created. Assume that you cancel this invoice later on, then to reverse the above a SUBCONDIF- with a value of -5usd will be created.

Hi @emilyk8r ,Did you try with “Package Part” setup ?It is like a bundle of parts you can actually packaged in to a single pack (Kit). This package could be even sell as a single unit in the customer order.

@Tenecia.Seeley I had a look on this. Looks like no option available to skip the Reserved quantities from counting in the standard application. I believe you will have to go for a customization here.Sorry being late.

Project Product - Remove Item

Hi @ronhu , Since this item is connected to the structure you cannot directly remove it like that. RMB on the line > select “Delete Branch”. This will remove the item from the structure and afterwards you can delete it. But of course, if you have issued material for this item or it is connected to an order of a parent then you might get some validation errors preventing this action. Please try the above steps first.

Hi @ThushAsanka, I believe this came as an enhancement in APP10. Introduced through a new method to MRP Process.MRP_Process_API.Start_Ms_Calculation__ (That is why you don’t get to see the same step in APP9 MRP process.

CR Status automatically changing to Processed

Hi @Naveena Nanayakkara, I think this has been done purposely to avoid the discrepancy between the CR and the approved CO. Once the CO reaches the state “Approved” it means we have the permission to go ahead with the requested change. So, it will be questionable to allow someone to modify an already approved change now.Looks like a customization is required to achieve your specific requirement here.

Hi @Devni Panduwawala, Could you please check the RMB > Properties of the Routing window header ?Check whether the Phase Out Date has been set to Read Only, like above. If so, try disabling that.
