@Björn Hultgren Thank you for the instruction.when letting system auto build the structure, wondering what the logic behind it. is it first in first serve? for example, parent serial S200 if registered at first, all issued material will meet this parent part S200 first before the next parent part serial S100 has been registered?Thank you.
@Björn Hultgren @Yohan Rajapaksha @ShawnBerkThank you all for your input. @Björn Hultgren We are building CMES interface with IFS. CMES is a manufacturing tool interface. when shop order is downloaded to CMES, it has a simple step to start the shop order, no material issue, no operation reporting. in CMES, no material issue message send to IFS until the shop order is completed. so when this Start message is sent to IFS, how to make the shop order to Started is a challenge for us now.below action will make IFS shop order to status Started, material issue operation reporting work bench select start setup or other clocking?so, wondering what is the best way to handle this status Started in IFS. hence the question. Thank you.
@AntOlivFr Thank you for your input. if there is an API that will really start setup, and then set the shop order status to “Started”, that will be great too. we are using RESTAPI to make the interface communicate each other. Thank you.
@Björn Hultgren Thank you for your input. I have some feedback, have to bother you again here.we are building an interface with an external manufacturing tool. That tool is to start the order first before reporting any operation time/quantity or issuing any materials to the shop order. We are wondering how to map this to IFS, as IFS has to either report operation or issue material to shop order to make the status changed to Started.I think we could make the shop order from Planned to Released status. Since there is no way to could make IFS to started status if there is no material or operation reported.Thank you.
