Completed Task in Schedule Board

Hello,We are facing the same use case for our planners in FSM. They want to keep the completed tasks for a defined period of time on the schedule board before they “disappear” .We discussed / argued a lot regarding that as there are of course more possibilities to enter, check, see completed tasks as well via different sections in the tool (lobbies, request/task screen, service history etc., etc.).But still the approach is to see at least the latest completed tasks as well directly on the GANTT chart. Typically the planner plan based on previous scheduled and performed jobs and they retrieve a lot of information from the tasks on the schedule board. Combined with the very powerful task card hover screen, this info is very crucial and makes life a lot easier and less complex for upcoming scheduling topics. The preferred solution would be to have a setting available to define for how long the completed tasks should be shown (e.g. show all completed tasks of the last week, month, etc.)Ano

Search result export to excel or pdf

We are facing the same requirement now more often. We need to retrieve simple excel lists via overview screens (like request and tasks). The excel should display the columns / data defined in the UI designer. Is there a simple way to retrieve excel lists via screens directly? Of course we are aware of the import/export functionality but this only exports dedicated tables and not search results.

Sort teams on FSM schedule board

Hi @Kalana Surendra ,yes but that only gives the opportunity to sort members within the teams not the teams themselves.Determines how team members are sorted on the Schedule Board. Values are 1 (sort by person ID), 2 (sort by first name), and 3 (sort by last name). The goal would be to have eg team B at the top and team A below team B on the schedule board.regards,Thomas

As we understood, this functionality (making use of task_units) is the correct way and meant to support our use case.Will update Still would be interested to check the improvement you mentioned that willbe done by PD.regards,Thomas

Sort teams on FSM schedule board

Hi @Nethmi Kularathne ,that’s a nice idea which we immediately tried to implement. Unfortunately, teams are still not ordered/grouped by team.uder_def1 after the setup has been done.Is this somewhere already successfully in place and we are simply only doing something wrong in the config or was this just a suggested possibility to test? regards,Thomas

Ad-Hoc Report Categories

When creating ad hoc reports, we understood that we need to consider parent child relationships when adding fields. E.g.: If we are using Request, Task and Place, the following tables are needed to create the adhoc report.The parent table will be REQUEST, and primary key will be Request_id. Hence Request_id from Request table should be added first.Next, the columns of TASK and PLACE tables, which are child tables of REQUEST table, need to be added. Note that each table should be mapped directly to the parent table with the primary key (request_id).Steps1. Add the Request_id field from REQUEST.2. Add the Task_id field from TASK.3. Preview. Data will populate4. Add more fields from TASK table.5. Add fields from place table (as place_id of PLACE table is mapped with place_id of REQUEST table)Via that guideline most columns / tables can be added without getting the error message but we are still facing some other issue that some columns are not filled with data - see the following conversa

Projects | project request link vs. task request link

Hi @Lee Pinchbeck I would have thought that breaking the link between the tasks parent request and the project would also break the task and project link. Is this not the case? No, this is not the case. After removing request from project the table REQ_PROJ_LINK for that request_id is empty. But task.project_id is still filled. The result is that the task is still shown on the project but the request is not. Our idea was then to use ‘cascade delete’ in custom metadata of REQ_PROJ_LINK and PROJECT to immediately delete the task.project_id as soon as the REQ_PROJ_LINK entry is removed. Unfortunately without success as this immediately deletes the complete task as well directly in the request.Not sure if the right way would be a business rule to empty task.project_id?! If you were able to break the task link to project separately then you could end up with tasks not related to a project attached to a project linked request. That could then cause logic errors elsewhere in the system as it

FSM Web Client search screens show a default of 10 records

I logged in opened the Request screen changed the default from 10 to 50 used the ‘screen setting’ option from the [?] option at the top of the screen hit save both messages appear. I’ve logged out, now I’m logging back in and try to access the request screen (web client again) I get this error: (I can’t even access the request any more :-( ). FRom my smart client if I clear the Request screen settings, it makes no difference to my web client….it still errors in the same way. Dear all,we have the same issue now for our configured screen. Is there already a standard approach / a suggested solution to sort that out?regards,Thomas

Hi @StephanS ,thanks for the quick answer! But it is not about sending to multiple mail addresses, it is about including the names of multiple people / resources into the message text of the notification message. But the answer given in sounds like that this should be working as well. The example is relating to products but as written as well, this should be possible for other tables as well.We will try to use a different PARENT TAB NAME and see if it is working then

CLIENT LOGIN | Block login to Smart Client & information pop up

Hi,Thanks for your answers!@Kalpani Dissanayake: unfortunately the app param BLOCK_REPAT_LOGIN doesn’t really help in our scenario. First, users still could login to Smart Client and only use this application. Second, we as admins very often need both applications in parallel as some modules are only available in Smart Client (e.g. UI designer). @roklde: ok, then we know at least that from a technical perspective we can’t block only one access. We will go further with the approach to inform via a specific screen and/or a client script to show that screen.Of course, if anyone else has additional ideas, always happy to hear!regards,Thomas

Alert | parallel tasks

Hi @Charana Udugama,thanks for your answer! But I was referring to an alert on the smart / web client. Meaning as soon as a Back office user / planner schedules a task, he / she should get a pop up with the information that a another task is already scheduled for that time period.I was thinking of solving that via a custom view or a client script but first wanted to check if there is any baseline functionality which simply be activated (as the app param).regards,Thomas
