Can we have a multi-site work order

Work Order belongs to the WO Site and it is not possible to use multiple values. Therefore AFAIK there is no out-of-box solution. Interested in knowing the reason for moving the object, is it because of the availability of Resources or Materials or Tools in the next site? Our scenario is around repairs of customer assets. Initial receipt and product evaluation is done where the customer ships - which is generally our office that is closest to the customer. We have multiple repair centers with different capabilities / equipment. Once the evaluation is complete, we need to transfer the product to the location that handles the type of repair required.

@ronhu - no. Looks like this functionality is in the plan for IFS Cloud (if it’s not already there) but not in Apps10

CRM Panel/ Phone Number not appearing in the panel

@Annjse - I have to disagree with you and say this is a bug. Clearly - the user can see Work information for protected persons in standard IFS. The intent of this HR flag is to insure that private information is protected but work contact information is available. It is available in IEE. It is not available in CRM and should be - matching IEE. We will be logging this as a bug.

Lobby dividers - vertical vs. horizontal

@eqbstal - I know the HTML5 aspect means the layout is fluid, but I can’t figure out how IFS decides to interpret “divider” as vertical vs. horizontal and it really significantly impacts the organization of the lobby elements. I run the screen on my laptop at 1920x1080 and 100% scale. It’s this way when I’m attached to my external monitors at my desk, and when I’m connected to my travel monitor when I’m mobile. And on my notebook monitor, IFS displays horizontal dividers when I’m at my desk and vertical dividers when I’m mobile. Luckily - I’m one of the few users who runs at 100% scale and so far I’m the only one who has this problem of IFS flipping back and forth.

Track which UI users are using - IEE or Aurena

You can do it in IEE, but we’ve not found a way yet to track statistics of active sessions in Aurena (Cloud). Where do you find that info for IEE?

Unable to login to CRM Panel

We figured it out. Root cause was in our Web API setup. Under Client Application = “IFS Apps10 - Server Application” - Scope user_impersonation needed to be selected. openid wasn’t enough for the CRM panel to work.Once we got past the authentication error, we added a permission set that included projections RmPanelHandling and Rmpanel Navigator seemed to work. We did the permission set in IEE (Grant All didn’t work in Aurena), and had to manually add all the functions under the main option. They weren’t selected when we selected the top item.

@VanKelviR - Unfortunately no. I also haven’t found anything to indicate an API exists for Business Mail. If I could find that, I’d look at building my own integration between Exchange and IFS

User Account setup needed for Boomi IFS Connector

@NickPorter - we are still stuck on this. Only our app owner ID is working to call APIs (Boomi or Postman). Question for you - what version of IFS are you running? I’m wondering if this is a restriction of Apps10 UPD14.

Setting the correct user in docman when uploading a file via integration

Hi @Peter Sketch Boomi No progress so far. But I was hoping I wasn’t the first person to run into this and someone else had a solution.The only thing I can come up with is to make the document upload a 2 step process in Boomi. (1) upload the document (2) trigger a script to change the security access after the fact.So we are starting to research if we script the security change.

User Account setup needed for Boomi IFS Connector

We are missing something. We tried using the ID we use for our BI integrations. It already has access to all companies and sites. I confirmed the permission set includes the APIs and granted the ID both FND_WEBENDUSER permission sets. When we try to use the ID - we get this error message. Use Drag and Drop to get Document Attachments out of IFS

@Mathias Dahl - I will mention the other issue we occasionally have with the current process is when we have really large files. The automatic open sometimes gets “stuck.” That’s another case where they download and drag/drop would be useful. One challenge I have is “View” is very visible. “Copy To” is buried and doesn’t clearly communicate “how to download this file to a local location” so my team does not need to do any training on the view option, but Copy To - multiple reminders (they can’t find it and they forget what it’s called).

@Mathias Dahl - unfortunately the current tools do not support automation. And the NEW tools integration option require me to develop an interface that can call an API and open a screen to run the API, then when the user hits done - process the incoming JSON. Or continue in standalone mode with a different import/export on a website.I’m going to be using Boomi and Boomi Flow to build the integrations (new tools) we need into Business Opportunity and Estimate - but we are probably still a few years about before the new tools have all the functionality the current tools do. And this is a good part of our business - so users are dealing with this every day.

Use Drag and Drop to get Document Attachments out of IFS

@Mathias Dahl - we use the drag and drop to add all the times, this is why they are expecting drag and drop to get files out. We have standalone supplier quote tools that have an “export/import” process to share files between individuals. So there is no “Open” function for these files. They need to download the file, then import into the tool. After they update the info, they do a new export and then load back into IFS.

Is there history tracking in NCRs?

Thanks everyone - we are looking for the equivalent of the history section that IFS transactions have (customer order, purchase order, business opportunity, etc) - a table that lists change events where you can sort by date. It doesn’t look like that exists so we’ll need to create our own.

When Copying PO - don't want custom fields to copy

That makes sense, but it’s less than ideal. I’ll have to use a deferred job on the custom event to do the update on records. I try to avoid those on create, since that means my users risk getting a “record is changed” error if they keep working on the order after that initial save. But we’ll try it.

Getting API documentation for Custom Projection

Further update - I flagged this problem solved too soon (and can’t unsolve it). Bottom line is if you are on Apps10 UPD10 - there is no solution. APIs do not work at all (no documentation, no functionality) in UPD10. The IFS statement is this is “fixed in UPD11, do an update.” Due to the effort involved in uplifting our mods, fixing our trade docs (I really wish they would stop breaking on updates), and testing an IFS update, we only implement even updates. To get this answer just as we finish our UPD10 installation is extremely discouraging.Since this is a custom LU (and not a core IFS table), and required for my current project (go live in 4 weeks), I am abandoning my absolute rule of ONLY using IFS code to write to IFS tables. These are landing tables for a Boomi interface and we’ve written our Boomi process to do direct writes. Luckily - this is pretty straight forward in BoomiI’m not sure when I will revisit this / change to APIs. It’s a bit disconcerting that on the one h

Error on REST call from Custom Event Action

So - I traced the problem with the custom event, but what I found makes me think that the alternate PLSQL code version will run into the same problem. I’m wondering if anyone has enough detail knowledge to confirm.BasicallyFND_Event_Action_API.Action_Rest - calls COMMAND_SYS.SEND_REST_MESSAGE In COMMAND_SYS.SEND_REST_MESSAGE, variable options_ at 2000 char is the first problem. But past that, it calls PLSQLAP_SERVER_API.Create_Application_Message___ PLSQLAP_SERVER_API.Create_Application_Message___ also has the 2000 char limit on options - which is based on table FNDCN_ADDRESS_LABEL_TAB (not a variable in the proc) - and column OPTIONS has a 2000 char limit So root cause of my problem is the table definition But - when I look at the code in PLSQL_REST_SENDER_API - it appears to also eventually pass through PLSQLAP_SERVER_API.Create_Application_Message___ - so I suspect if I set it up via code, I’m going to run into the exact same error message.So now I’m trying to figure out if ther

Getting API documentation for Custom Projection

Unfortunately, the work around didn’t work. I deleted the Custom Projection and then recreated in Aurena - and I still can’t generate documentation.And, I have no idea what the API for a Custom Projection looks like (what the APIs inside the projection might be named), so I have no way to try the API anyway.We are using Boomi to integrate. I’ve tried doing a straight DB connection instead, but now I’m running into compatibility issues when writing a Boomi date into a date/time field in the Custom Projection/LU.If anyone can share with me what the standard structure of the APIs on a Custom Projection looks like, I might be able to figure out the naming conventions and see if the API works or not.

IFS Report Rule - Check In To Document Management not uploading to shared Repository

@Mathias Dahl - I’m curious how you would move. My understanding isRepository is based on document class You can’t change a document class after the initial create A document class can only have 1 repository The only way to move between repositories is to move the document class to a new repositorySo - how would you go about moving a document between repositories to get around this problem?Also - where can I find the functional differences between the different document repository types? We made the decision to move to Shared Repositories because our database size was becoming an issue and we used the advantages/disadvantages info in IFS help to determine if shared met our needs. No functional differences were listed (like doesn’t support Report Rules add to Document Management). And Report Rules help also doesn’t mention you have to have a database repository for this to work.

Getting API documentation for Custom Projection

Hi @jhooperyan , There is a workaround exists to create Custom Projection directly from Aurena. But firstly, delete projection which was created automatically. Let me know if anything is unclear for you. My challenge is, I’m using the projection to get the API I need to update a Custom LU I am using in IEE. Is there a way to connect a custom projection created in Aurena with an IEE Custom LU?

Finding Custom Projection in API Explorer

I checked Manage Projections > Projection Configurations and my new CustomLU / Custom Projection is not there at allSo now I’m not sure what to try next.And question for @Technical Outlaws - the reason I am creating my Custom LU in IEE with create projection is because I need to use the LU as a custom tab in IEE and I want to use the API in Aurena to populate the data (this LU will display info sent from an external system). In that case, I think I have to create the Custom LU in IEE with the Create Projection option. Or can I create the Custom Projection in Aurena and have it create the CustomLU for IEE?
