Purchase Order approvers based on postings (parts)

Similar to your current solution I have implement at many client sites with a few extra validations via multiple event actions considering the following;PO Rules be based on Coordinator Validation to make sure only certain Parts / No-Parts with specific purchase groups is possible to be added to certain Coordinator Validation to make sure certain Pre-posting is possible with selected coordinator. Ex: HR, FIN as Department Preposting valid for Coordinator - ADMIN etc. Once PO is release Coordinator cannot be changed. And finally a Catch All validation to make sure nothing slips out of our rules.

Supplier Invoice Authorisation Using Purchase Authorisation Rules

From my understanding the behaviour is what you’ve described. It simply inherits the purchase authoriser. It does not run the purchase authorization logic again. From a business process point of view, the PO is authorised by an individual who is ready to accept the cost, and as a receipt is done the product/service is delivered and the company is liable for pay (unless the terms and conditions states not to exceed the PO value). The invoice authorisation is basically acknowledging the higher cost incurred. Someone can argue otherwise stating the authorization logic should be rerun.

Shouldn’t your target column value for PO_SITE be CF$_PO_SITE? same goes for PO status

How to navigate to a screen with from an element on a lobby that has custom object.

Possibly the custom fields are not in the header section bit the line level, whereas the navigation is pointing to the header section.

Can Azure BLOB storage be used to save document attachments in IFS ?

@Mayura Wasantha @Mathias Dahl Can you please clarify whether FTP and Shared folders are supported repository formats for an IFS environment hosted in MS Azure cloud ( through IFS Managed Services or Customer owned Azure environments) as I was informed that Azure hosted environments do not support FTP or Windows share. I received an IFS PowerPoint on it, will dig up and share if I can find it.

Permission Set navigator Download

Save the Permission Set as an .xml and open using excel which shows the data in a table. You will be able to get the i fo in one of the columns.

Is it possible to have the year in the prefix of a document name in document management module?

I’m sure this can be done via an event action or a scheduled migration job to update the Document Title with prefix derived from the “sysdate” / “created_Date”. I am unaware of any standard functionality to handle this.

Dynamic folder path for local check-out documents

Hi Tharindu,I am guessing the requirement is to define local check-out path for all users of the system. In the past we have achieved by pushing a record to the registry using a Group Policy to set the value to let’s say C:\users\<USERNAME>\IFS\Temp.The IT team of the customer may be able to get this sorted.Cheers!Malik

IFS9 Login Issue

I’ve seen this issue in the past when the user has logged in to Business Analaytics and didn’t log out. The solution for this was to go in to the database and delete the record related to the user in the fnd_client_logon_tab

Hi Johan, Yes, it is me the same Malik that you worked with 15yrs ago… It has been a quite long time indeed. Hope you are keeping well.Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order, Purchase Order Change Order and Expense Sheets approval on Notify Me will be used.The reason for my question originated based on inconsistencies in the Aurena Notify Me app which I guess would have been fixed in Upd 10 /11. From my understanding, currently Oracle FB storage is the only option if the environments are in Azure.A modification was done for a customer to have MS Sharepoint Sites as a repository. You may want to consider that as an option if DB storage/ Azure storage space is limited.

Custom Event not working (Customer Order)

Is the order code set up such that the release happens online? Or does the release of the order happen as a background job? also, instead if checking against NULL you may want to check against COUNT, as in the past I’ve seen issues with NULL.

IFS Apps 10 Account Manager User registered with the application, problem logging in after a while.

Were you able to resolve this issue? Do you’ll use ADFS authentication? As I’ve seen a similar issue at another customer where they use ADFS authentication and the system forces you to re-login with Account Manager.

Migrate Accounting Structure from test-to-prod (Apps10)?

Like @Adam Bereda has suggested, I have used migration jobs to move Accounting Structure from on DB to another. It is a little bit trick due to the multi-level structure and I had to run the Structure Item migration job multiple times to get the whole structure in. Also, on top of this I have created a replication migration job such that if a change to the parent company’s accounting structure is made, it replicates to the other 37 companies.

Thanks Mathias, it is such a simple thing at the end, but I was still in my IFS EE logic and confused. Thanks for your help! I will test the OCT in detail, at lease for now PR to PO OCT works on line level.
