Backup Path - Demand Plan Server

The purpose of the "writeback data to file" job is having the possibility for customers to send us data for debugging purposes.From the location specified in the “Backup Path” we can define where that file should be stored. There we can define any Writable folder in the machine/server where the DP server is installed.E.g.              C:\IFS\dehaprd\DemandPlanServer64\DemandPlanServer\Log Files But in newer versions after app 7.5, these files cannot be used for backing up the contents any more and after APP10 Aurena this functionality is made obsolete.Therefore the recommendation is to disable this option since it’s not usable after App 7.5. /Sangeetha Jayamaha

Clarifying the Demand Plan Functionalities

@Rasika Lakmal 2.) Regarding importing external data into Demand Planner, Yes. There is a possibility of importing external data in to Demand Planner.We can load external data in to the table,  FORECAST_DAY_IMPORT_TAB, and then run the “External Import” job on the Demand Plan server to get them imported in to DPS. ​ Hope this helps.Thank You,Best Regards,Sangeetha Jayamaha./

Clarifying the Demand Plan Functionalities

Hi Rasika,1.)  When setting up parts, once you define the flow, if the parts satisfy the conditions in the flow, you can run the qualify parts job to get parts qualified/disqualified as forecast parts. But for that, the parts should have the minimum number of transactions defined in the qualify parts job.If you need the parts that does not meet the above conditions to be defined as forecast parts, you will have to set up each part individually.  Please refer page 16 of the attached document for further details.

Issue with PLSQL

@amrflynn Anyway before performing this data repair, I recommend you to take a backup of the original data.  Then you can try the SQL as  I have suggested above. There also,The number of times the loop executes  =  Number of records that the cursor (C1) has fetched. You might have to change the logic according to the requirement of fetching the PLANNED_DELIVERY_DATE.  If you have only one record having the PLANNED_DELIVERY_DATE and if you need to copy that value to the rest of the records, the SQL needs to be changed since you need to retrieve that value also from the cursor.In that case you can fetch that value using a different cursor and store that value in a date variable and use that variable in the Modify__() method. Otherwise if you give the value at the time of execution , the following should be fine. But you have to make sure that you give the value in the correct date format.  FOR rec_ IN c1 LOOP   rec_.PLANNED_DELIVERY_DATE := &PLANNED_DELIVERY_DATE;   ifsapp.purchase_o
