Labor Time does not cosider in Shop Order Scheduler

Hi Aan/Bjorn,Thanks for your valuable response. I have tried and mapped the above suggested scenarios. However, those are not good work arounds for some of the customers.Practically, my customer have fully labor oriented operations such as assembly. cleaning, inspection etc. which usually not connected to any work center as such and they only use tools. My customer use Mnafacturing Visualizer extensively and rely on those data. They put extra effort to streamline their basic data correct and realistic. When I propose dummy work center it also showing up in MV. Further, this customer process many shop orders per day with many operations. When I ask duplicate labor time as machine time and to hide dummy work centers in manufacturing visualizer, customer was bit worried and questioning, why we pay for IFS if you don’t have such premitive functionalities.However, we have a argument and proposal. At least, If system can consider Lead time calculation basis we use in Lead Time Calculation, w

It is not custom fields. Those are generic fields such as Customer in Customer Order.

Resource allocation against a demand on Project Activity

Hi Carsten,Your point is very valid. It’s like we are getting a snap shot of the optimum resource allocation which was real and will be used in similar projects as a Resource Forecast. I also cannot find such option. May be some one in IFS R&D may respond. I have a suggestion to IFS R&D to incorporate additional spread methods in to Project Navigator, so that we can Use Copy Resource Planning option when creating new Resource forecast. Correct me if I am wrong Carsten.BR, Thushan

You are correct. I had to do it backend. I don’t know how Feb 28th 2020 is created. System should validate the sequential calendar dates. Anyway it has been solved now, Thanks every one.

Transfer Products in Product Estimate Management

Thanks Martin, I have a customer who are in to ETO business. Most of the estimates are for brand new parts and needs Engineering design involved. Therefore, they want to start with PDM. Appreciate very much if you could evaluate the feasibility.

Shop Order Trigger

If I am correct, the Department in IFS Manufacturing is used for information purposes. This can be connected to a work center hence it will be reflected in the shop order operations and consider in load logic. But there is no functionality to connect Department in to a Part number like in Production Line.Suggestion would be to enhance this as a customization.1. Establish Part number and Department relationship like in Production Line. 2. Establish Department Mandatory on Shop Order header.3. Establish the validation of department and part number relationship.

Does IFS consider Expiration date in the issuing hierarchy in Manufacturing?

Yes, it works for reservation but not for issuing logic and to be considered with SO hierarchy for both the cases. I believe this could be easy to incorporate in core.

Do we have WIP (Working Progress) Levels in Manufacturing?

Thank you for all your inputs. I believe existing solution may not fully satisfy our requirement. However, my expectation is, IFS should keep the provision for user to define the WIP Level and the criteria.Example: User may decide it depending on the % operation sequence completion, % qty completion of the operation, % WIP Value, manual preference. This could be implemented in Shop order operation level together with basic data. Following shows different WIP Levels Criteria's (Included in a drop down) and Example formulas.

Does IFS consider Expiration date in the issuing hierarchy in Manufacturing?

If we can incorporate the existing site level Reservation logic may help us to improve this in our backflush logic. Altimately this should overwrite our existing 5 step hierarchy.
