New On-Premise TAS Server for APPS9, does it require it own private key?

Thank you both for your responses. So let me answer both.the TAS only has an internal URL, and you need a reverse proxy or similar to expose it to the internet (assuming your laptop is part of the intranet either physically or via VPN) we only use vpn and the TAS is internal only OR the TAS is publicly accessibly but its SSL certificate is accepted by your laptop but not by your phone (for example, Android is picky about certificate chains being valid). The SSL is a wildcard SSL and was applied to the TAS Site. We use Windows for the IFS mobile app When you mentioned “private key” did you mean the SSL certificate? as long as the certificate is valid, you can of course re-use the same on your new server. …. mWorkOrder 3.9 lags writing back to IEE after Oracle 19c upgrade

Kathlk;Thank you for your response.The issues doesn’t persist for all users, about 10%.After the Oracle Upgrade, yes we restarted the TAS server. We actually restart all of the VMs monthly after each Windows Update is applied.Our TAS has its own small db on a separate SQL server.FYI - I have set our Push queue to 10 processes since we have Pooled and Assigned orders. This seemed to help with order processing for MWO functions.I have checked the TAS trace log and sync log for each user and the only errors I am seeing are connections lost and the following.UTL_HTTP_FAULT: pushData: Unable to get database connection. (weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDeadException: 0:weblogic.common.ResourceException: Could not create pool connection for datasource &apos;fndbas&apos;. APPS9: Transferring a WO to a Group[Pool]

We use pooled mobile work orders in APPS9 mWorkOrder 3.9. The use of pools, depending on your configuration can entail a lot of data. Here is our example of mWorkOrder Pools To the left are the various pools based on WO priorityThe Go To “Pool Work Orders” are all pooled WO regardless of priority.We also use Surveys as part of our Wo mgt for inspections/workflows which has provided us a streamlined business process. Oracle 19c Apps 9

we are moving forward with Oracle Enterprise 19c as we are completing APPS 9 UD17 IFS Support was very instrumental in assisting us.So we have a 3 -part update/Build/Update process where we are applying UD17 as well as moving our MWS to new Windows 2019 servers. As we look to export/import database items from 12c to 19c - has anyone encountered issues using the Oracle export/import capability? Thx a bunch.

Oracle 19c Apps 9

“Did you complete your upgrade testing to 19c? how did you tackle this? Interested to know, as we are looking to move from 12.1.0.2 to 19.3 (We are already on the required Upg 16, soon to move to 17).” we have not done anything with Oracle due to failed UD17 attempts. Still under review as far as next steps.Will keep you posted on our findings.

Also you can use Service and Maintenance\Preventive Maintenance\Maintenance Plans\Extend/Shorten Plan option for exiting PM actions.Once you set this new year, what do you need to do to update the current maintenance plan in the existing PM Actions? Thank you

Disabling TLS 1.0, 1.1 SSL2, SSL3 in APPS9 - TAS connection errors

Pubudu - Its been a very busy couple of weeks trying to get UD17 applied … so I am back to review this again. Here are the details.APPS9 UD14TAS info TouchApp Server 1.14.1.74 with configured mWorkOrder 3.9.2 andhere is the info from the Mobile app 3.7 Client If I disable SSL from the windows registry on the TAS I get an error cannot connect to IFSCloud.With UD14 our cipher changed from SSL to TLS, so I know the MWS isnt supporting SSL anymore.Our SSL cert supports the newer protocols as well. We use on Premise TouchApp server along with a sql server to administer the IFScloudAdminWe have disabled SSL on the sql server with no impact to the mobile capability. Any insight is truly appreciated.Thank you

Disabling TLS 1.0, 1.1 SSL2, SSL3 in APPS9 - TAS connection errors

When we remove SSL2.0 on our dev TAS, the Mobile app stops working, and errors it cannot connect to the TAS even after an IIS reset. Does something need done in the TAS configuration? Any changes required on the ifscloudadmin sql db? The MWS has TLS1.1 & 1.2 established.The SSL is a wildcard cert supporting TLS1.1 & 1.2, along with SSL2.0 and 3.0Any suggestions?btw - than kyou for the feedback on the IIS Crypto app is a very nice tool.On the dev TAS we have SSL2.0 & TLS1.2 enabledOn the Prod TAS we have SSL2.0, SSL3.0,TLS1.1, TLS1.2 are enabled

APPS9 UD17 fails update when SSL is checked

Here are the following files - this is after running reconfiguration. I’m also including a copy of the current Inventory in case something is missing or a wrong entry is there. I have a support ticket open and have been working with a few members of the team.I will need to rollback the VM today and restore the db backups.Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I enabled ext, update partially failed -due to http server not starting. Hiroshi;Thank you very much for your feedback.WOW - there were several entries and I had to go back to 2018 to find a non-corrupted inventory file.So what creates the corruption in the Oracle Inventory?I plan to try and apply an update today with hopes I am successful.More to follow.

JamesSince I went from UD10 to UD14, how would i go about getting this lobby added as part of the UD12? Do I run the installer and re-apply UD14 and ensure I include Lobby elements as part of the update?I tend not to include Lobby updates as we have had our existing lobbies replaced and have to rebuild them, even after exporting/importing which takes a few days to do so.Any insight is truly appreciated. Kalana;Sorry for the delayed response.When you refer to checking log files prior to installing, which of these files am I to check and what am I looking for?The environments run fine with no errors, however I must be missing something as I have been unable to apply this update to any of the 4 dev/test environments without them failing at the same point in time.Prior to applying the update I verified #1 & 2 look good. no mws_bak file and no items in \pending folder.On item #3 - how do you know if this file is corrupted? I do see references there to old environments, but existing environment entries look good. I applied the update again today and it once again failed in the same place, including a missing mws folder under mw_home. Thus a web logic error trying to start services even after reboot.While the update ran, I monitored resources to ensure I didn’t max out on memory or processor resourcesIs there something in update 15 or 16 that may reference changes that I didn’t see in th

Oracle 19c Apps 9

We are running Oracle 12.1 standard and plan to apply UD17 to our APPS9. Do I need to upgrade Oracle to 12.2 in order to move to 19c or will my Oracle 12.1 with UD17 applied allow me to upgrade to Oracle 19C enterprise? If I upgrade to Oracle 19 - which version should I move to?Our plans are to spin up a new oracle server with Oracle 19 Enterprise then export import data from existing instances.What approach is best when moving from Oracle 12.1 Standard to Oracle 19CTruly appreciate your feedback.

I know about the stats pack - what is the AWR? We are running Oracle 12.1 Standard, so have no Oracle monitoring tools we can use. Our Oracle support is through IFS.Thx again for the feedback in this conversation.

James;Thank you for the info.I do not see Mobile App Status as a lobby page nor included within out of the box lobby pages - of course, I did not set this system up, so maybe they are not included somehow.I did verify the Touch Apps Daily Statistics is running every hour. I appreciate additional info regarding the Lobby page - the data volumes & sync times would be very helpful.

Upgrade from IFSv9 to v10

So for Oracle 19c, does this work with Apps9 UPD 14?I was informed I can no longer can apply IFS updates unless I upgrade to Oracle 12.2. or Oracle 16c or if supported Oracle 19cI am currently running Oracle 12.1.0.1.0. We recently uncovered a bug with NULL constraints and it was noted by IFS to upgrade to a newer Oracle version. So if I am to upgrade, to which version should I do so? Thank you
