We not using the HR module or tracking time in IFS sorry.
Hi Hans, The above mentioned case was entered when we saw this issue in Apps 9. It has just never been handled in a way that makes sense to Service and/or the accounting that happens in Service oriented businesses.
Hi Courtney, It looks like the basic data Blocked for Use will only work for trying to add to new work. So if you have a new failure analysis you are setting up you will not be able to choose any of the fields that are blocked for use. However the times it was used in the passed will still show up for users unless you remove it from your options in the failure analysis navigator.
Hi Courtney,You are correct. When testing this in update 11 I get a message that says my purchase part “Freight” is zero as soon as I attach the template. The cost I put in on the site feature did not update to the work task.@Nethmini Kosvinna I followed your example steps when recreating but I have noticed many issues in updates 10 and 11 so I believe this is an update issue.
Set up the parameters in the Object, you will want to use an Accumulated value type. Connect the object to a work center. You would want your custom event to count how many times this work center is used in a shop order and have it update the parameter maybe when shop order is closed, adding 1.Then you will need a condition based PM that will use this parameter on the condition based PM. Accumulated Value types will need a start value and an interval. The next step is to a database task for condition based PMs. You can have it check for the condition to be met every hour or every day at a certain time, or when ever is best for your team.Navigate to Solution Manager/Background Processing/Database Tasks/New Database TaskClick on Select Method Scroll to Preventive Maintenance Folder and open (+) Scroll to PMCriteriaPlan and open (+) Generate_ Change task name to make sense to you and save. You will see a different parameter list on this one, there is no reason to enter values for this.
Hi ismalk, I have had several customers ask for this. It is not possible to change how the work order numbers are generated. My advice is to hide the work order number field and use a custom field for the way the work orders are generated, then have a couple of custom events. to auto number the custom field custom field in the LOV to look for the custom field when searching for work orders.I have this same system for creating functional objects.
I have done some work with 4 established customers that are in the process of upgrading from 7.5, 8 and 9 to apps 10. So far I get more positive feedback than negative. All in the Service/Maintenance areas of IFS. most love the idea of tasks over work order, although it is difficult understanding the idea of work order not being the center of their work. Those going from earlier versions love the look and feel of the lobby. None of my service customers are happy with Service Quote and we have had to come up with different avenues for quoting.
