inventory.xml file doesn't contain any mw_home lines for mws and http

It is not normal to find that the mws and http oracle homes not available in Oracle inventory .xml file.Could you confirm that your new IFS application instance works without any issue?

Access to domain 'PROD' for user 'ifs' denied

Hi @adL ,Have you checked whether the mws node manager of the relevant applicaton instance is in running state? start it if it is not running. If you are not using a windows system, you can use mws script to start the node manager. Please post a complete screen capture of the server status if the above option fails to address your issue.Thanks,Jagath

Logo File Size Requirements

Hi Sara,I cannot find any reference to the file size requirements for the logo files.But there are other requirements (i.e: logo file name) and you may refer to the below documentation to get a clear idea.https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/050_development/025_operational_reporting/050_layout_design/020_layout_design/100_working_with_images/default.htm

Can't create HttpServer2 in Admin Console

Hi @Bernd Osterkamp ,Can you try to create the cluster in a different machine and see whether the issue is related to the VM itself. Make sure that you create the Cluster.zip file again before doing the above as the Cluster.zip file could also have the issue.Thanks.

Can't create HttpServer2 in Admin Console

Hi @Bernd Osterkamp, Please check that the nodemanager of the second machine is reachable from the main machine and it is in RUNNING state. It seems like the second machine is not reachable when you were trying to create your second Http Server. Status of the node manager of the second machine

Middleware deployments will not start

Have you tried a reconfiguration of the application server?Please try below options.Restart middleware server using the script.mws-svr.cmd found in ifshome folder. Reconfiguration of the middleware server.

Hi Curann,This is a setting which cannot be restored by the user himself once it’s been taken off. A user with admin privileges can change the value from 'False' to 'True' in the user profile of the paricular end-user ( ifswin:Ifs.Application.UserProfileAdministration.UserTotalProfile?userid=<youruserid>) for the entry "confirm on closing last Explorer window" ( User/ windows/application). Thanks,Jagath

IFS error when a user is about to be created.

Hello,This error is usually related to oracle wallet. The IFS standard installation process creates the wallet and set the path to it in the plsql environment table. When making outbound calls (any calls to outbound bizapi/activity), the url, user, password and wallet path are retrieved from the plsql environment table. If the wallet was not found in this path or if it is corrupted or the session user has no access to this path, then you will get such error.Thanks,Jagath

Ifsdump.cmd does not pick up the log files when creating the .zip

Hi Himasha,Have you checked whether the script was executed from the correct location, the IFS_HOME directory?The following points would be helpful in investigating the issue.1. Check whether the VM has enough space to execute the script. Note that the script gathers required log files into a temporary location before creating the archive file and it requires a considerable amount of space based on the capacity of the available log files. 2. Ask the customer to execute the script in the command window with administrator privileges and ask him to capture the output of the above command window for analysis. It would show you some clues regarding the issues.3. Once the script is executed, it would create a log file with all the issues encountered. If the execution fails you can look into the log file for the issues. If the archive creation was successful, the log file would be automatically deleted.Thanks,Jagath

List of Screens from IEE

Hi Isvarya, It is not possible to extract all the navigator information to a text file from the IFS IEE client. However, you can copy each navigator entry using the Edit/Rename option available in the navigator instead of manually typing each of them.The navigator entries are stored in a compressed XML (xml.gz) file in the client folder on the MWS installation.If you have access to the Middleware server installation location, you can find the navigator.xml.gz file and you can access the navigator.xml file by uncompressing it using a tool like 7 Zip.After uncompressing the above, you can open the navigator.xml using Excel to get the complete list of navigator items in text format.The following community post would be helpful for you to get more information.https://community.ifs.com/framework-experience-infrastructure-cloud-integration-dev-tools-50/export-navigator-to-excel-1260 Regards,Jagath

Where is the data stored for Setup IFS Connect Mail Sender

When you replicate the target database from a source database, you need to store the basic data from the target database and apply them back into the target database after replicating. You need to identify all the basic data tables you need to keep data and then you can use "Oracle Database Utility - Oracle Data Pump" to export and import basic data.The relevant Oracle database help documentation:Database Utilities - https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e22490/part_dp.htm#i436481   In your issue regarding the basic data of the IFS Connect functionality, you can store data from the basic data table fndcn_config_param_tab and apply it back into the database after replicating.

Background Jobs stuck in Posted not getting Executed

Hi @sahilgupta,Would you try the following steps. If just doing the below steps does not resolve the issue, restart the database after the changes.1.    Check no of job queue processes in the database    Show parameter job;2.    Alter job queue processes to 0     Alter system set job_queue_processes=0;3.    Stop database processes    EXEC Install_Tem_SYS.Disable_Scheduler_Processes;4.    Alter job queue processes to it’s original value    Alter system set job_queue_processes=XX;5.    Start database processes    EXEC Install_Tem_SYS.Enable_Scheduler_Processes; Thanks,Jagath

Login is denied. User has already logged onto IFS Account.

The easiest way would be to ask that particular user to log off from the system briefly and after that you login and select the switch users option to get back the login window to change your settings.

WebLogic Warnings

This Warning message is produced by Oracle login module when IFS Users with expired Oracle user passwords try to log into IFS. If you need to stop this messages from appearing in logs, make sure that the expired Oracle accounts are either locked, are deactivated or they’re provided with new passwords so that the accounts are opened.So, having these Warning in the logs is fairly normal and you only need to worry if a particular User is complaining that he is failing to login to the application.

Issue while debugging "could not find program unit being called"

This could be due to invalidation of the underline database objects due to some other developments in the database during the time you were debugging the code.There could be parallel developments in the database on the same database objects you are using and they may invalidate the database objects from time to time. Have you checked the invalid objects in the database when you received this issue?Recompiling the invalid objects before starting the debugging would help.

IFSWEBCONFIG Password Change

You don’t have to enter IFSWEBCONFIG user password during the installation or reconfiguration processes in APP V9.The existing entry could be kept intact in the configuration.xml and that is holding a default value that is not changed during the above processes. Still the IFS Web Client is using IFSWEBCONFIG user account. But password is not required as no authentication is performed using this user account.

You can use the application server reconfiguration option to import the logo file into the database.1. Copy the complogo.gif file to the repository location <IFSHOME>\repository\server\reports\stdlogo2. Reconfigure the application server to import the above file to the database.3. Make sure that the "Report Layouts" option which is available under "Import IFS Report items" is selected.

Report Logo not showing

Hi, the only way i could get it to import was through the Aurena client. We as a business never use the Aurena Client so this was quite unusual, but the answer to your question is you have to use the Aurena client. It is not mandatory to use the Aurena client to import the company logo into your reports. If you have no access to the Aurena client, you can still use the application server reconfiguration option to import the logo file into the database.1.
