Hi @justinmoon,Just thought of sharing my knowledge as well hoping it will be helpful,Simply Elimination percentage functionality enables minimizing the number of Work Orders generated with a single PM plan when PM contains several triggering mechanisms.Ex : A generator in which we have to carryout Annual Maintenance or a Service once in every 1000 running hoursFor such an instance if a PM is defined with calendar-based criteria and condition-based criteria in maintenance plan it contain planning lines pertaining to both criteria.Thus at a glance a user may not get the net picture of the maintenance plan for the particular Object.Elimination enables the planned lines set to Generatable equals No, that are planned to fall due approximately at the same date as another planned line in the same PM. Whereas system will enables the opportunity to eliminate certain maintenance plan lines in a rational way.

Hi @benjose,Yes in Equipment Objects all the objects types have to categories either each category. There are no categorization for Pump, Motor, Cable, etc. Based upon the nature, behavior, business usage you have to categories them under one category. In generic scenario, the movability or the frequency of changing the parent object will be the base for categorization, incase your object frequently changing it’s parent (moving) you can categories it as a serial object & otherwise as a functional object. The given legend is having two nodes for functional Objects & serial objects.Thanks

Preventive Maintenance on Fixed Assets

Hi @Timmermans Roel, Fixed Asset Object Connection- ‘Fixed Asset Object’ connection can be done by using the Code Part Information. (Serial Object > Code Part Information or Functional Object > Code Part Information). By this way it is possible to connect/defines a Fixed Asset for an object. Please make sure that you have already defined the needed site under Valid for Sites within the Work Task Template as well (& then in PM program as well) as unless the both are matching the details won’t be enable to add.

Hi @antonio.santos,Can you please try going into My assignments (Technician Portal > Service technician > My assignment). Select any ongoing work under my assignments. Select Complete which will guide you through the report in process within technician portal allowing you to complete the work. (Compete will enable for the work that you have started)

Hi @EPSDANMI,If the assignment is expected to done in WO level, expecting to reduce the preparation/planning works you can also use a Work Task Template & generate a PM action across the template.

Hi @EPSDANMI ,In versions after App10 Work Task will be the key to plan & execute a work & therefore we cannot allocate any resources on WO level. WO will only defines the requirement or problem, but no longer the fulfilment or executionLooking into the described scenario, one option that I can suggest you is to have one WT & do all the planning on that task.Here you’ll have disadvantages of,not being able to define different resource, material, cost, etc. on each PM instead you will have to use the same setup in each PM. Therefore if in this scenario if all the work & requirement are same you’ll be able to perform this. Then instead Work Tasks, there will be number of Work Task Steps for each PMalso you’ll have advantages of,enabling one planning unit which will be the single WT

Move serial object between IFS companies

Hi @ShawnBerk It’s good that you could sort-out this with a workaround.Just to add some inputs into this discussion, the requirement to create new serial object in new Site/Company, it can be done using customer order for a new part serial No. Please refer following link.http://docweb.corpnet.ifsworld.com/ifsdoc/Apps10/documentation/en/default.htm?openpage=http://docweb.corpnet.ifsworld.com/ifsdoc/Apps10/documentation/en/Order/frmCustomerOrder.htmBut IFS application is incapable of handling moving of a serial object between sites/companies while maintaining same object ID/serial No. There are some limitations to overcome when delivering a solution for this issue such as,Since the site is a crucial part of the key for an object and its ownership, changing it might loss the tracking information of a serial object. Changing the site may affect functional flows and analysis data such as financial transactions, material transactions, PM actions, WO and Historical WO.Source : Case G2129368

Question about Rental Serial Objects and Serial Components

Hi @CorGreggB,Create SM Object can use if you want a service management object to be created in the IFS Maintenance component when customer order lines are delivered. In other words creation of the object happens at the instance of CO delivery. At the moment it seems this is not supporting for Rental Management Process & delivery of CO with rental order lines do result in creation of an object. Therefore CO returning process will also not support Equipment Objects like in standard sales process.If this seems to be a functionality that you are expecting to achieve as Nalaka mentioned it’s better to reach support & get verify the background further.

Help : Define an inventory part as Serial Object and Fixed Asset

Hi @BeaFannDe ,Adding to Thushitha’s comment you can deiced whether you are going to define it as a Functional Object or a Serial Object. (If the object is not frequently changing it’s parent we can define it as a functional object). Incase you are going to define it as a Serial Object There can be several ways of attaining that. One way is as highlighted by Thushitha to directly create the object from Serial Object window.The next method is that you can use Serial Maintenance Aware functionality. There you can flagged the Maintenance Aware tick box & save the records or RMB & select make maintenance aware to get generate a Serial Object.Maintenance Aware functionality will helpful for you to generate Serial Objects while they are being in the inventory.
