Bulk transfer in Maintenix

Hi Hafdis,There doesn’t exist a method or tool in Maintenix to bulk transfer inventories between locations.This might be achievable via script under the Success Agreement.

Are work packages automatically generated in 8.1 sp3 of Maintenix and what auto generates them??

Hi Lauri, Yes work packages do get automatically created in 8.1-SP3 version.A couple of scenarios that would auto create WPs are:- “Package and Complete Task” and “Package and Complete Fault” options- “Log fault and close” option when raising a fault- Whenever a block, requirement, or aircraft is added to a long range plan, the Long Range Planner will automatically create work packages for each block/requirement against every applicable aircraft- You can use the Line Planning Automation (LPA) tool to automatically create and schedule the turn and service work packages.

Hi Olivier,I reached out to the relevant parties hadling these processes in IFS Community and here is what I found:Ideas are ranked by business value, with voting providing some basic filtering. The target patch is provided in SalesForce if the originating issue was raised there.If the idea was raised directly in Community, it will be part of the comments we provide. The status of the idea will change to ‘Under Consideration’ then ‘Working on it’.There is no recap table available that would list down all the Ideas and their statuses.

In response to your question about the process of reviewing, voting and selecting an idea;if you'd be interested in a change, the correct process would be to raise a new item in the Ideas section of the IFS community, so the community can vote on the idea and IFS can review it. Upvoting Ideas in IFS Community increases their priority. The upvote button can be seen in the Ideas Search page, as well as in the Idea page itself right below the topic.

Price Type Field Modification

Actually, this is normal Maintenix behavior. Whenever a PO is created, regardless what is entered in the Price Type, when the inventory is received and marked RFI (could be during the receiving if the inventory doesn't need inspection or when marked as serviceable), the Price Type switches to CNFRMD in the PO line. This is to confirm that the unit price was confirmed with the vendor.You can ofcourse insert rows to the REF_PRICE_TYPE table to display additional values in the Price Type dropdown field.

Hi Olivier,This issue has been raised previously by a couple of other airlines as well, including KLM. As you’ve mentioned, this is a known limitation implemented into this feature by IFS. The suggestion is to initialize in groups smaller than 20. The internal ticket still remains in our Product Support team’s queue for their analysis.Regards,Hashani.

Can't move aircraft from one hangar bay to another bay with multiple In-Work package

Hi Bjarki,Do you mean that you are trying to move the IN WORK WP to a different location while there are still other IN WORK WPs at the previous location?Maintenix does not allow multiple IN WORK Work Packages at different locations. All the IN WORK Work Packages on an Aircraft must be at the same location. Due to how Work Packages function in Maintenix, they cannot be IN WORK at different locations since it would not be possible to work on an Aircraft at more than one physical location at the same time, which is why the location can not be changed in the front end.

Where do I find the planned release schedule for IFS Maintenix?

IFS Maintenix 8.3 SP6 is planned to be released and made generally available on 07/Apr/22. Moving forward IFS Maintenix service packs will be coordinated with the release cycle of IFS Cloud, which consists of an annual spring and fall release.

Update Panel Names in Maintenix

Hi,This configuration parameter is actually no longer referenced by the software, as panel details should not be edited within the program. It has been removed from the database in 8.3-SP3 to avoid confusion among users. The only way to edit a panel description is to change it via a database script as below: UPDATE EQP_TASK_PANELSET DESC_SDESC = '<new description>'WHERE PANEL_ID = xxxxxxAND PANEL_DB_ID = xxxxxxxHowever, to add new panels, you can import the “Baseline Loader - Job Cards” spreadsheet through the configurator.

What are the permissions needed for "Start historic Work package" button?

The "Start Historic Work Package" button was actually existing in versions older than 8.2 SP5. In SP5, the buttons were renamed as below: Start Historic Work Package was renamed to Start Work Package. Start Work Package was renamed to Start Work Package and Enter Usage. The functionality of the buttons is the same as it was before. Start Work Package button now has the "historic" functionality and Start Work Package and Enter Usage button has the functionality of previous Start Work Package button. The usage will be automatically fetched at Start Work Package. This makes the Start Work and Start Historic Work package functionality identical. The system uses the provided start date to determine the work package usage. If user needs to edit the usage values, "start work package and enter usage" workflow will have to be followed. This change was released in 8.2 SP5u2. More details on the functionality and on the changed names can be found in Operator_Release_Notes.pdf for 8.2 SP5. The

Need to add some buttons to the ToDo List

There are a few search options available as buttons. Unfortunately, none of the search options that you're looking for except for the "Location Search" exist as a button in the application. The suggestion we can provide you with is to create a new menu for your user role and add the essential search pages that you would be frequently using. This will enable easy access to the search pages by simply checking through the new menu. Please follow the below steps to add a new menu and menu items: 1. Do a Role Search and go to Role Details page> search for the required user role and click the link of the result 2. Go to Menus tab > Create Menu button > give a name, lets say "MRC - Search" > OK 3. In Menu details page, click "Assign Menu Item" 4. Search as "Name: search" and select the "contains" option at the bottom 5. Now you can select the search pages you need quick access to and click "Assign Selected Items" button Now you will have the already-existing-menu with a long l
