There is an Inactive Date under the Supplier - Invoice / General tabsIf an Expiration date has been entered under the Supplier - Purchase / Misc Supplier Info tab - you can see this in the Suppliers - Purchase Specific Information screen

If you have safety stock entered on a part, you may have to check the ‘Plan Safety Stock…’ checkbox when running MRP / PMRP.

Count Consignment

Hi Heather. You could use the Inventory Part In Stock screen. Query for Ownership = Consignment and the Site and/or Owner = Customer ID. This will give you an on hand quantity. You could also view on hand quantity in the Customer Consignment Stock screen.

Inventory Part Availability Planning // Reservation Problems

Hi. Reserved Qty is still on hand qty. Reserved Qty is decreased by the Available Qty. Help for Available Qty - The total available quantity for the part at the given site, expressed in inventory unit of measure. This is the quantity usable minus the quantity reserved for the specific configuration and or project inventory; i.e. the non-reserved quantity of the part in stock (location types: Picking, Floor Stock, Production Line, Pallet, Pallet Deep, Pallet Buffer, Pallet Delivery and Shipment), including the parts in consignment, regardless of the W/D/R number or the part revision. The parts included are nettable and have not passed their expiration date. Parts with ownership type Customer-Owned and Supplier-Loaned are excluded. Note however, that the entire quantity may not be available for reservation. This is because quantity in location types Floor Stock or Production Line is also included in the grand total of the available quantity but cannot be reserved by demands that are no

Background Job Stuck in the Posted state not getting excecuted

Hi Charuka. Are there other jobs in the same queue that are still in the executing status holding these jobs from executing? Have you tried to right mouse click and select execute? If no other jobs are executing and you can’t get your job to execute, you may need to create a case to IFS so that this can be investigated for you. Please advise if you have any questions. Thanks! Engineering transfers - New Inventory Rev - duplicate Eng Rev

When you create a new Revision of a Component Part and select to have it ‘Replace Old Revision’, is why the “PDM Preliminary Rev Change” column is updated to ‘Changed’ for the level above Parts where the part that has a new revision is used. If you do not select to ‘Replace Old Revision’, the “PDM Preliminary Rev Change” column will not be updated to ‘Changed’. It will remain as ‘Not Changed’.

Shop order actual costs

If you want the system to record the Actual Cost you will need to change the Inventory Part Cost Level to one of the other options under the Misc Part Info tab on the Inventory Part. Making this change means you could have multiple lots of the same part in stock with different costs but the cost would be actual for each lot. Hi Linda. I remembered I had a case for this same question about ‘Revaluation Events - Revaluation Event ID 447 updated 1164 transactions, but I only find 12.’ It was an APP9 case but the functionality is/was the same.This was the help text for the Number of Transactions Updated column:“Indicates the number of inventory transactions that received additional postings due to this cascade update trigger event.”For that case, I created a task to RnD and they responded saying - We investigated your issue and it’s the HELP text that is misleading. Actually this count is number of transactions visited to check whether related transactions need any additional postings due to cascade update trigger event. Based on RnD’s response, that number of records was not updated. It’s the number of records viewed for update. I am asking RnD if they can change the help text. RnD did update the help text to “Indicates the number of inventory transactions that got evaluated for additional postings due t

Hi Linda. I’m going to work with SO 200958 in this CORE environment.From Inventory Transaction History, I’m querying for Order No 200968.This returns 13 recordsClick yes on the above message and then click on the Accounting tab and here you’ll see the different revaluation records.Scroll through the other SO’s and you’ll see other revaluation records.The part that the SO was created for is Weighted Average - Cost Per Part so because it’s WA is why the part is being revalued. Normally you would see the revaluation for Purchased Parts when WA - Transaction Based. Please advise if this helps or if you still have questions. If you still have questions, you should enter a case to IFS so that it can be investigated for you. Thanks! Jane

Transaction Revaluation Events

This screen shows the PO that created the Revaluation. It comes from Supplier Invoice Entry and is because the Part is setup as Weighted Average with Transaction Based.From Inventory Transaction History you can see there are 67 records for PO P10171. Click on the Accounting tab and you’ll see the Revaluation Event ID. Please advise if this helps and/or if you have any other questions. Thanks! Jane

Inventory Location used in Shop Order Material Allocation

You could find the locations where there is a reservation against a component on a Shop Order using the Inventory Part In Stock Reservations. You can query for the Site where the Reserved Qty >0 and the Type = Shop Order Material.

Plan Alternate Component in MRP

The Alternate Component will only be used when you don’t have enough on hand quantity of the original part. Checking the Include Alternate Component Part will not just use the Alternate Component if you have on hand and available quantity of the original part.

Setting forward scheduling as default

You could create a template to select from or a saved template to be used but this would only work if you are manually creating SO’s. If you are creating SO’s from a SO Req, this would not work and a customization and/or event could be used.

Cleanup of Inventory

When you run the Cleanup of Inventory, the system will only consider records where the on hand quantity is 0 for the number of days, ‘Days Before Current Date’ entered. It will only cleanup records that meet that criteria.

This could also be due to a Scheduled Database Chain. If you have any of these created, you could look there.

Transfer Project Cost Accounting - Schedule Issues

If you have an existing scheduled task to Transfer Project Cost Accounting Transactions, you would need to delete it and recreate a new scheduled task. The Execution Offset is the number of days back the system should pull from when running the transfer and the start date is always the date the job is running. With the settings below, the system will include yesterdays transactions when the transfer run today and the Voucher Date will be today. If you only run the scheduled task weekly, you would want to enter 7 for the Execution Offset. Yu could enter anything greater than 7 but it would have to be at least 7 if running weekly.Depending on what UPD of APP10 you’re on, there is a Sev 3 UPD9 patch that will be needed if you’re below UPD9. If you’re UPD9 or higher, you already have the patch and just need to clear any exiting records by running the Transfer option manually from the navigator and then create the new scheduled task.
